Japonya'da faaliyette olan Güney KOre sirketleri, Japonya'nin kuzeydogu kesimini vuran yikici sarsintilar sonucu hasar raporu veriyor.

Kore Ticaret ve Yatirim Gelistirme Acentasi, Japonya'da 270 civarinda Güney Kore sirketinin subelerinin faaliyette oldugunu söyledi. Acenta, Japonya'da bu sirketlerin sadece ofislerinin bulunmasi; üretim tesislerinin yer almamasi dolayisi ile sarsintilarin dogrudan hasarinin en az seviyede olabilecegini söyledi.

S.Korean Companies in Japan Report Damage

South Korean companies operating in Japan are reporting damage in the wake of the devastating quakes that hit the northeastern parts of Japan.

The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency said there are some 270 South Korean companies operating branch offices in Japan. The agency said that as most of the companies have offices there and not production plants, direct damage from the quakes is likely to be minimal.

Güney Kore Hükümetinin, geçtigimiz hafta Japonya'ya büyük zarar veren deprem sonrasi, uluslararasi tahil fiyatlarini ve enerji arzini yakindan izledigini, üst düzey bir yetkili açikladi.

Seoul to closely monitor commodity prices after Japan quake

South Korea's government will keep close tabs on international grain prices and the energy supply situation following last week's massive quake that devastated Japan, a senior official said Monday.

Vice Finance Minister Yim Jong-yong said in a meeting with lawmakers that Seoul is preparing for all contingencies, including sudden spikes in grain prices and energy costs, as Japan, the world's third-largest economy, tries to cope with the natural disaster.

PM calls for close examination of economic impact of Japan quake
Prime Minister Kim Hwang-sik said on Monday the country should closely examine the impact of the earthquake that devastated Japan's northeastern and eastern regions on the local economy and respond effectively.

The 9.0-magnitude earthquake that struck Japan on Friday was followed by a tsunami the same day, with authorities there warning Sunday night the death toll would be in the "tens of thousands."

Kim, in his speech to a weekly Cabinet meeting, directed officials to "thoroughly check if there is any possibility of an earthquake in South Korea" and study the impact of the Japanese quake on the local economy.

Güney Kore hükümeti, çarsamba günü depremde hasar gören ve radyoaktif sizintinin oldugu nükleer reaktörleri dengelemek için Japonya'ya kendi bor rezervlerinden göndermeyi planladigini söyledi.

Bilgi Ekonomisi Bakanligi, Tokyonun kendi stoklarinin büyük bir kismini Fukushima nükleer enerji santralindeki füzyon nükleer reaksiyonlari durdurmak için kullandiklarini ve hayati önem arzeden malzemeleri göndermelerini talep ettiklerini söyledi.

S. Korea to ship boron to help stabilize Japan's nuclear reactors

South Korea plans to transfer its reserve boron to Japan to help the country stabilize quake-damaged nuclear reactors that have started to release radioactive material, the government said Wednesday.

The Ministry of Knowledge Economy said that Tokyo has requested assistance of the key material vital for stopping fission nuclear reactions after its own stockpile has been largely used up at the Fukushima nuclear power plant.

Grup yaptigi açiklamada, 5000 çalisanin ise alinacagini ve yillik Ar-Ge bütçesinin %24 oranla artip 4,7 trilyon Won'a (4,1 milyar Amerikan Dolari) yükselecegini söyledi.

LG Group set to boost R&D staff, investment

South Korean business conglomerate LG Group said Wednesday that it will increase employees and investment in research and development (R&D) to nurture its technological competitive edge.

The group said in a statement that it will hire 5,000 new R&D employees and raise its annual R&D budget by 24 percent to 4.7 trillion won (US$4.1 billion).
