Bir grup yabanci ögrenci, 12 Eylül'e denk gelen ve Kore'nin en uzun resmi tatillerinden biri olan Chuseul tatilinin öncesinde Güney Gyeongsang Eyaleti'nin Gimhae Sehri'ndeki Inje Üniversitesi'nde geleneksel Kore kiyafeti Hanbok'u giyererek atalara saygi için düzenlenen ayinin nasil yapilacagini ögrendiler.

Kore Domuz Kurumu Baskani Lee Byoung-Mo (solda), yaklasmakta olan Chuseok bayrami dolayisiyla Tümgeneral Kim Yong-hyun'a 750 kilogram jambon hediye etti. Ülkenin en büyük bayramlarindan biri olan Chuseok, bu yil 12 Eylül'e denk geliyor.

Lee Byoung-Mo (L), chairman of the Korea Swine Association, gave 750 kilograms of ham to Maj. Gen. Kim Yong-Hyun as a gift with the Chuseok holiday just around the corner. Chuseok, one of the country's largest traditional holidays, falls on Sept. 12 this year.

S. Korean student rallies in front of N. Korean embassy

Güney Koreli Ögrenci Kuzey Kore Elçiligi Önünde Pankart Açti

Seoul'deki Ewha Kiz Lisesi'nde ögrenci olan Lee Joo-hong, 9 Eylül günü Pekin'deki Kuzey Kore elçiligi önünde pankart kaldirdi. Pankartta "Kuzey Kore'deki arkadaslarim! Haydi Dokdo Adasi'na birlikte gidelim!" yaziyordu. Dokdo adasi, Japonya'nin üzerinde egemenlik iddia ettigi Dogu Denizi'nde Güney Kore'ye ait bir adadir.

Ülkenin en büyük bayramlarindan biri olan ve bu yil 12 Eylül'e denk gelen Chuseok'un öncesinde, Seoul'daki birçok otobüs terminali tatil dolayisiyla memleketlerine gitmek için bilet almak isteyenlerin akinina ugradi. Yaklasik 30 milyon kisinin tatil için memleketlerine seyahat etmesi bekleniyor.

10 Eylül'de Seoul Istasyonunda aileler dört günlük Chuseok Tatili'ni memleketlerinde geçirmek için trenlere bindi. Ay takvimine göre Eylül'ün 12'sine gelen Chuseok Tatili, sonbahar hasat kutlamalarinin yapildigi Kore'deki en büyük geleneksel bayramdir. Birçok Koreli aile Chuseok Tatili'nde atalarina saygilarini sunmak için memleketlerine gider.

Divorce Rate Higher for Childless Couples!

Mahkeme istatistiklerinin pazartesi gününe ait verilerine göre, geçen yil bosanan çiftlerin neredeyse yarisi çocuksuzdu. Bu, çocuk yetistiren ve bosanmak üzere olan çiftlerin sayisindan çok daha büyük bir oran.

Yargitay tarafindan yayimlanan 2011 yilligina göre, geçen yil bosanan 116,858 çiftin %46'sinin bosanma aninda çocugunun olmadigi belirlendi.

Nearly half of South Korean couples divorced last year were childless, a much higher rate than those raising children, court statistics showed Monday.

Among 116,858 couples that split up last year, 46 percent of them did not have children at the time of divorce, a 2011 yearbook published by the Supreme Court said.

Disisleri Bakanligi tarafindan yapilan bir açiklamada, soy isminin Park oldugu tespit edilen 78 yasindaki bir adamin ve 71 yasindaki esinin Renanya eyaletinde gerçeklesen tren kazasi sirasinda yaralandiklari belirtildi.

Two S. Koreans among the injured in train derailment

An elderly South Korean couple are among those injured in the derailment of an intercity train in Germany, officials in Seoul said Monday.

The 78-year-old South Korean man, only identified by his surname Park, and his 71-year-old wife sustained injuries in the train accident in the Rhineland, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
