Average Commute Time in Seoul 41.2 Minutes



Seoul'de Ortalama Gidis Gelis Süresi 41.2 Dakika

Seoul vatandaslari ve ögrencileri için, ülkenin en uzak sehirleri ve kasabalari arasindaki ortalama gidis gelis süresi (ev-is, ev-okul) 41-42 dakika civarinda sürüyor.

2010 yili Kore nüfus sayimi istatistikleri geçen yil Güney Koreliler için ortalama gidis gelis süresinin 32 -39 dakikayi buldugunu, bu sonuçlarin 2005 yilindan 2-3 dakika daha uzun oldugunu ortaya çikti.

Bölgeye göre, Güney Jeolla ve Gangwon eyaletleri 21-23 dakikayla en kisa gidis gelis süresine sahipken, Seoul 41-42 dakikayla en uzun gidis gelis süresine sahiptir.

The average commute time for Seoul citizens and students marked 41-point-two minutes, the longest among the nation’s cities and provinces.

The 2010 census by Statistics Korea shows that the average commute time for South Koreans came to 32-point-nine minutes last year, two-point-three minutes longer than in 2005.

By region, Seoul has the longest commute time with 41-point-two minutes, while South Jeolla and Gangwon provinces have the shortest with 21-point-three minutes.

Roughly one out of four Seoul citizens, or 24-point-two percent, spends more than one hour for their commute. The ratio was 22-point-eight percent in Gyeonggi, 22 percent in Incheon and three-point-two percent in South Jeolla.

Banka müdürü intihar etti

Rüsvetçilik yapma süphesi uyandiran bir bankanin müdürü, kendini Seoul'ün merkezindeki bir subesinden atarak intihar etti.

Polisin açiklamalarina göre, 50 yasindaki Jeong Gu-haeng, saat 12:05 sularinda Jeil II Yatirim Bankasi'nin Seoul'ün merkezinde bulunan Changsin bölgesindeki subenin önünde yüzüstü yatarak bulundu.

Polis, birkaç savcinin dün saat 10:00 sularinda bankaya baskinda bulundugunu da açikladi. Ölmeden bes dakika kadar önce, kendinden üst mevkideki birkaç kisiye ''herseyin sorumlulugunu üstlenecegini'' söyledigi de biliniyor. Açiklamalara göre, bu sözlerinin ardindan ofisi terk etmis ve subenin önünde ölü olarak bulunana dek kendisinden haber alinamamisti.

Head of bank jumped to his death

The president of a suspended bank threw himself off his headquarters in central Seoul in an apparent suicide.

Jeong Gu-haeng, 50, was found lying face down at around 12:05 p.m. in front of the headquarters of Jeil II Savings Bank in Changsin-dong, central Seoul, police said.

According to police, prosecutors yesterday raided the bank at around 10 a.m.. Just about five minutes before he died, he told the directors that he would “take responsibility for everything.” He proceeded out of the office and was not seen again until he was discovered dead.

Homeless population rises despite gov't welfare programs

Hükümetin Yoksullara Yardim Programlarina Ragmen Evsizlerin Sayisi Artiyor

Pazar günkü hükümet verilerine göre, hükümetin yil boyu süren sosyal kutuplasmayi kirma çabalarina ragmen, ülke çapindaki evsizlerin sayisi yükseliyor.

2010 yilinin sonunda 4,187 olan evsizlerin sayisi, iktidar Büyük Ulusal Parti'nin Saglik ve Refah Bakanligi Temsilcisi Yoo Jeong-bok tarafindan haziran ayinin sonundan itibaren, toplamda 4,403 olarak kayit edildi.

Despite the government's perennial efforts to reduce social bipolarization, the number of homeless people nationwide is on the rise, government data showed Sunday.

As of the end of June, a total of 4,403 people were classified as homeless, up from 4,187 people at the end of 2010, according to the data submitted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare to Rep. Yoo Jeong-bok of the ruling Grand National Party.

Daejon'da Çöken Insaat Sonucu 3 Kisi Öldü
Emniyetin verdigi bilgiye göre Güney Kore'nin merkezinde yer alan Daejon'da, insaatin altyapi tesisati üzerinde çalisan 3 isçi insaatin çökmesiyle göçük altinda kalip hayatini kaybetti.

Seoul'ün 164 km güneyinde olan Daejeon'daki Gapcheon nehri yakinlarinda su sizintisi nedeniyle zeminin güçsüzlenmesi sonucunda bir kaynak makinesini 7 metre derinlige gömen kazanin sabah 10 sularinda meydana geldigi bildirildi.

3 killed in construction site collapse in Daejeon

Three workers were killed at a construction site in Daejeon, central South Korea, on Sunday, when they were accidentally buried alive while building underground drainage pipe networks, police said.

The accident took place at 10 a.m. when the water-weakened ground near Gapcheon Stream in Daejeon, 164 kilometers south of Seoul, collapsed, burying a welder in a seven-meter-deep pit, they said.

Explosion at Suwon car wash kills three

Three people were killed and four others injured when a car wash adjacent to a gas station exploded in this provincial city, police said.

The explosion, which took place in Suwon, 50 kilometers south of Seoul, shortly before noon, destroyed more than 10 vehicles and a dozen houses in the surrounding area.
