28 Private Kindergartens Nationwide Moving to Close

Ülke Genelindeki 28 Özel Kreş Kapanıyor

Hükumet okul öncesi kurumlarındaki harcama usulsüzlüklerini ortadan kaldırması için alınan ciddi tedbirleri bildirdikten sonra birçok sayıda özel kreş kepenkleri kapatmak için adımlar atmaya başladı.

Eğitim Bakanlığı’nın yaptığı açıklamaya göre, geçtiğimiz Cuma itibariyle ülke genelindeki 28 özel kreşin bir kısmı hükumetin onayı üzerine kepenkleri kapatırken, diğer kısmı da kapatmayla alakalı planlarını ailelere bildirdiler.

Okulların çoğu kapatma nedeni olarak ağırlaşan iş şartlarını gösterdi.

Bakanlık, yeni hükumet kurallarının şart koştuğu üzere, kreşlerin ailelerin üçte ikisinin iznini alarak işletmeyi kapatma çabası içerisinde öğrencilerini nereye yerleştirecekleriyle alakalı planlar hazırladıklarını söyledi.

A growing number of private kindergartens are taking steps to close after the government announced strict measures to address spending irregularities at preschool establishments.

According to the Ministry of Education, as of last Friday, 28 private kindergartens nationwide have applied for the government’s approval to shut down or informed parents of their plans to close.

Most of the schools cited aggravating business conditions as their reason for closing.

The ministry said the kindergartens are drafting plans related to where their students will be placed in a bid to ensure they can close by receiving consent from two thirds of parents, as stipulated by the new government rules.

Transport of Exam Papers for College Scholastic Ability Test Begins

Üniversite Eğitimi Yeterlilik Testi Sınav Kağıtlarının Taşınması Başladı

Yıllık üniversite giriş sınavına 3 gün kala, pazartesi günü sınav ve cevap kağıtları ülke genelinde dağıtılmaya başlandı.

Eğitim Bakanlığı’nın açıklamasına göre; sınav ve cevap kağıtları ülke genelinde 86 bölgeye dağıtılacak ve Perşembe günü CSAT olarak da bilinen Üniversite Eğitimi Yeterlilik Testi’nin yapılacağı gün yaklaşık 1200 test yerine taşınacak.

Yaklaşık 400 kişi sınav kağıtlarının taşınmasından sorumlu. Polis ise ulaşım araçlarına eşlik edecek.

Toplam 594bin 924 kişi sınava girecek. Bu sayı geçen seneden 14bin fazla.

With just three days left until the annual college entrance exam, distribution of the exam papers and answer sheets started nationwide on Monday.

The Education Ministry said that the exam papers and answer sheets will be transported to all 86 districts across the nation, and will be moved to about 12-hundred test sites on the day of the College Scholastic Ability Test, or CSAT, on Thursday.

About 400 people will be responsible for transporting the test papers, with police guarding the transport vehicles.

A total of 594-thousand-924 people will take the test, about 14-hundred more than last year.

Difficulty of 2018 College Entrance Exam Similar to Last Year

2018 Üniversite Giriş Sınavının Zorluk Derecesi Geçen Sene İle Aynı

Bu seneki üniversite giriş sınavının genel zorluk derecesi, bir öncekilerle aynıydı.

Üniversite Eğitsel Yeterlilik Sınavı (CSAT) test başkan yazarı Lee Kang-rae'nin perşembe günü söylediğine göre; testin zorluk derecesini, bir önceki senelerle eşdeğer tutmaya çalıştılar.

Lee ayrıca; liseyi tamamlayan herhangi bir öğrencinin hiçbir zorluk çekmeden sınavı yapabileceğinden emin olarak, soruların, test yazarları tarafından yazıldığını söyledi.

Geçmişte olduğu gibi CSAT'taki soruların %70'i, halk yayını olan EBS'de yayınlandı.

Bu arada, test başkanı Kore Dili test kağıdındaki iki kelime hatasının soruları gözden geçirme şansı bulamadıkları için olduğunu belirterek özür diledi. Ama yine de bu hatanın çözümü etkilemediğini belirtti.

The overall difficulty of this year's college entrance exam is likely similar to that of previous years.

Lee Kang-rae, the chief test writer of the College Scholastic Ability Test(CSAT), said on Thursday during a news briefing that they tried to keep the difficulty of the test at the same level as last year.

Lee said that the test writers tried to ensure that any students who properly completed the high school course could solve the questions without difficulties.

As in previous years, 70 percent of the questions were taken from CSAT workbooks published by the public broadcaster EBS.

Meanwhile, the chief test writer offered an apology for two misspelled words on the Korean language test paper, saying that they had no time to reprint the papers. However, he said the errors would not cause an issue with solving the question.

595,000 Students to Take College Entrance Exam

595,000 Öğrenci Üniversite Sınavına Girecek

Yıllık Üniversite Eğitsel Yeterlilik Sınavı (CSAT) için perşembe günü ülke genelinde 1bin 190 test yerlerinde 595bin öğrenci üniversite sınavına girdi.

CSAT, Kore dili sınavıyla sabah 8.40'ta başlayacak. Matematik, İngilizce, Kore tarihi ve bilim dersleriyle devam edecek. Beşinci ve sonuncu yabancı dil sınavı ise akşam üzere 5.40'ta bitecek.

Daha önceki yıllarda olduğu gibi, devlet ofisleri ve şirketler, normal iş saati açılışı olan 9'u saat sabah 10'a erteleyerek trafik yükünü azaltmak için işe geç başladı.

Ayrıca havayolu ulaşımında da kalkış ve inişler, 1.05'te başlayan ve 35 dakika süren İngilizce dinleme sınavı süresi boyunca yasaklandı.

The annual College Scholastic Ability Test(CSAT) is set to be held at one-thousand-190 test sites across the nation on Thursday, with some 595-thousand students taking this year’s college entrance exam.

The CSAT will begin with the Korean language exam at 8:40 a.m. It will be followed by the math, English, Korean history and science portions. The fifth and final foreign language exam will end at 5:40 p.m.

As in previous years, government offices and companies pushed back the start of the work day by an hour from nine to 10 a.m. to help alleviate traffic during the morning rush hour.

Airlines are banned from taking off or landing during the listening section of the English exam which will last for 35 minutes beginning at 1:05 p.m.

5-Day School Week to Become Compulsory from 2020

2020’de 5 Gün Okul Zorunlu Olacak

Beş günlük bir okul haftası gelecek yıl başlamak üzere tüm okullar için zorunlu hale getirildi.

Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı Perşembe günü yapılan açıklamaya ek olarak, Pazartesi günü icra kararına ilişkin bir revizyonun önceden bildirileceğini de sözlerine ekledi.

2012 yılında Güney Kore’ye tanıtılan bu sistem gönüllü olarak benimsenmişti. Geçtiğimiz Ekim ayı itibariyle, ülkedeki yaklaşık dokuz bin ilköğretim, ortaokul ve lise bunu kabul etmiş, ancak diğer dokuz okul hala ayda iki cumartesi günü öğrencilere ders vermeye devam ediyordu.

Ayrıca gözden geçirilmiş düzenleme okulların hafta sonları spor etkinlikleri veya alan gezileri düzenlemelerine ve ders günleri olarak kabul etmelerine olanak sağlayacak.

A five-day school week is set to become compulsory for all schools starting next year.

The Education Ministry previewed the move on Thursday, adding it will make an advance notice of a related revision to the enforcement ordinance on Monday.

Introduced to South Korea in 2012, the system has been adopted on a voluntary basis. As of last October, most of around nine-thousand elementary, middle and high schools across the country have adopted it, but nine others were still teaching students on two Saturdays per month.

The revised ordinance will also enable schools to arrange sports events or field trips on weekends and have them recognized as class days.

More Than 230 Kindergartens Suspend Operations on Monday

230'dan Fazla Anaokulu Pazartesi Günü İşletimini Askıya Aldı

Yeni dönemin ilk gününde, ülke genelinde 230'dan fazla anaokulunun servislerine son verildi.

Eğitim Bakanlığına göre; 239 kurum, ya da ülkedeki özel anaokullarının %6.2'sı, pazartesi günü kitlesel olarak kapatıldı. 126 tanesinin kapatılması da an meselesi.

Bu anaokullarının %93'ü, geçici çocuk bakımı servisi sunarken, 18 anaokulu bu desteği reddetti.

Bakanlık ve bölge eğitim yetkilileri kapatım için sözlü uyarı verdi ve eğer salı günü kapılarının kapalı tutmaya devam ederlerse anaokullarına karşı suç dosyası oluşturulması planlanıyor.

Bakanlığın söylediğine göre; Kore Anaokulu Birliği (KKA)nın kapatma takvimi yasal değil ve Adil Ticaret Yasası'na birliğin illegal kolektif eylem yapması rapor edilebilir uyarısı geldi.

More than 230 private kindergartens across the nation have suspended their services on the first day of the new semester.

According to the Education Ministry, 239 institutions, or six-point-two percent of all private kindergartens in the country, joined the mass shutdown as of noon Monday, adding 126 others withdrew their plan to participate.

Around 93 percent of those kindergartens offered temporary childcare services instead while 18 kindergartens refused any such support.  

The ministry and regional educational authorities gave them a verbal warning for the shutdown and plan to file a criminal complaint against them if they continue to keep their doors closed on Tuesday.

The ministry said the shutdown scheme by the Korea Kindergarten Association(KKA) in protest of moves to enhance their accounting transparency is judged to be illegal and warned they would report the association's illegal collective action to the Fair Trade Commission.

Education Minister: Every School to Have Air-Cleaning System This Year

Eğitim Bakanı: Her Okul Bu Sene Hava Temizleyici Sisteme Sahip Olacak

Eğitim Bakanı Yoo Eun-hea, ülkedeki her ilk ve ortaokullarda, öğrencileri ince tozdan korumak için hava temizleyici sistemi olacağını söyledi.

Bakan planını çarşamba günü, Seoul'daki bir ilkokulu hava kirliliğinden kaynaklı sağlık tehdidiyle nasıl başa çıktıklarını görmek için gerçekleştirdiği ziyaret sırasında açıkladı.

Yoo, devletin yılın ilk yarısında kreşler, ilkokullar ve özel ihtiyaca sahip olan okullara hava temizleyici sistem tahsis edeceğini açıkladı. Devlet gelecek seneye kadar bunu yapmayı planladığını söyledi.

Yoo ayrıca devletin hızlı bir şekilde ortaokullar ve liseler için de aynısının sağlanacak bütçe fonu kullanılarak gerçekleştireceğini söyledi.

Education Minister Yoo Eun-hae says every elementary and secondary school in the country will be equipped with an air purifying system from this year to protect students from fine dust.

The minister announced the plan on Wednesday while visiting an elementary school in Seoul to see how it is coping with the health threats caused by air pollution.

Yoo said the government will make efforts to install air-cleaning systems within the first half of the year for kindergartens, elementary schools and schools for those with special needs. Initially, the government planned to do so by next year.

She said the ministry will quickly do the same for middle and high schools through the use of supplementary budget funds.
