No. of Venture Firms Rapidly Decreasing Since May

Girisimci Sirketlerin Sayisi Mayistan Bu Yana Hizla Düsüyor

Güney Kore'de ise baslayan girisimci sirketlerin sayisi hizli bir sekilde azaliyor.

Ülkedeki girisimci firmalarin sayisi, geçen yil ocaktan nisan ayina kadar 2300 firmanin büyümesinin ardindan mayistan bu yana yaklasik 850 oraninda azaldi. Bu, bilisim teknolojisinin (IT) 2002 ve 2003'te patlamasindan bu yana bu ölçünün ilk düsüsü.

Bugünlerde yüksek lisans ve doktora derecesine sahip yüksek ögrenim görmüs ve kendi önemli patentli teknolojilerine sahip girisimci kapitalistler azaldigindan mevcut girisimci firmalarin kalitesinin de düstügüne inaniliyor.

Kore Borsasi ve Kore Girisimci Isletmeler Birligi'ne göre, aralik sonuna kadar ülkede 26,149 firma vardi. Fakat girisimci patlamasi hizla azaliyor.

The number of venture firms getting off the ground in South Korea is dwindling at a fast pace.

The number of venture firms in the nation has fallen by nearly 850 since May, following growth of 23-hundred firms from January to April last year. It's the first drop of this scale since the information technology (IT) bubble burst in 2002 and 2003.

The quality of existing venture firms is also believed to be deteriorating as these days there are less highly educated venture capitalists who hold master or doctorate degrees and own key proprietary technologies.

According to the Korea Exchange and the Korea Venture Business Association, there was an all time-high of 26-thousand-148 venture firms in the country as of late December. However, the venture boom is rapidly abating.

Ocak Ayinda Tüketici Fiyatlari %3.4 Artti

Geçtigimiz ay tüketici fiyatlari %3 civarinda artis gösterdi.

Kore Istatistik Kurumu, tüketici fiyat endeksinin geçtigimiz ay, önceki yila nazaran %3.4 oraninda; önceki aya nazaran ise %1.5 civarinda artis gösterdigini belirtti.

Tüketici fiyatlarinin %3.4'lük deger kazandigi geçen yilki ocak ayindan bu yana yillik artis en düsük seviyede bukunuyor.
Tarimsal, hayvansal ve petrol ürünleri disindaki ürün fiyatlarinin sabit kaldigi gözlemlendi.

Imal edilen ürün fiyatlari, petrol fiyatlarindaki dalgalanma yüzünden %4.3 degerinde yükseldi. Benzin fiyatlari %6.9'luk bir artis gösterirken; dizel fiyatlari %11 oraninda artti.

Uzun vadeli tutulan depozitolu kiralik ev (jeonse) fiyatlari da %5.9 oraninda artti.

Consumer Prices Rise 3.4% in January

Consumer prices grew some three percent last month.

Statistics Korea said that last month, the consumer price index rose three-point-four percent year-on-year and half a percent month-on-month.

The year-on-year growth rate is the lowest since January last year when consumer prices gained three-point-four percent.
Product prices appeared to be stable, except for the prices of agricultural, livestock, and petroleum products.

The prices of manufactured products went up four-point-three percent, due to a surge in the prices of petroleum products. Gasoline prices rose six-point-nine percent and diesel prices jumped eleven percent.

The deposit-based long-term rents, jeonse, also rose five-point-nine percent.

Over 50,000 Workers at Gaeseong Industrial Complex

Birlesme Bakanligi çarsamba günü yaptigi açiklamada, Kuzey’in geçen ay Kuzey Koreli çalisan sayisini toplamda 50.300’ün üzerine çikararak 449 isçi daha ise aldigini söyledi.

Isçilerin yüzde yetmis ikisini kadinlar olusturuyor. Üniversite mezunlarinin orani yüzde 9,5 iken lise mezunlari yüzde 81’lik dilimi olusturuyor.

Despite strained inter-Korean relations, the number of North Korean workers at the Gaeseong Industrial Complex has steadily increased to top 50-thousand for the first time since the complex began operating in late 2004.

The Unification Ministry on Wednesday said that the North hired 449 additional workers last month, bringing the total number of North Korean employees to over 50-thousand-300.

Seventy-two percent of the workers are women. High school graduates account for 81 percent, while university graduates account for nine-and-a-half percent.

The ministry also announced that the 123 South Korean companies operating at the inter-Korean complex need an additional 20-thousand workers.

Sirket, Ekim-Aralik döneminde 111.6 milyan won (99 milyon US $) olarak gerçeklesen net zararin geçen yil 256.4 milyar won zararla olarak gerçeklestigini bildirdi.

LG Electronics Inc., South Korea's leading consumer electronics maker, said Wednesday that its net loss narrowed in the fourth quarter from a year earlier, aided by increased sales of smartphones and high-end TVs.

Net loss amounted to 111.6 billion won (US$99 million) in the October-December period, smaller than the loss of 256.4 billion won tallied in the previous year, the company said in a regulatory filing.
