Consumer Prices Rise 3.1% in February

Tüketici Fiyatlari Subat Ayinda %3.1 Artti

Subat ayinin tüketici fiyatlari, yaklasik %3 büyümelik sabit 2 aylik enflasyon egilimine devam ederek 14 ay içinde en küçük pay oraninda artti.

Kore Istatistik Kurumu geçen ayin tüketici fiyatlarinin geçen yila göre %3.1 ve geçen aya göre %0.4 oraninda arttigini söyledi. Ocak ayinin enflasyon orani %3.4'te kaldi.

Fakat okul üniformalari ve ders kitaplarinin fiyatlari Martta yeni dönemin baslamasiyla ailelere daha fazla yük çikaracak sekilde aniden yükseldi.

Tüketici fiyati büyümesi geçen yil Agustosta %4.7'ye ulasmisti ve Kasim ve Aralikta %4.2'de kalmisti.

Consumer prices in February rose by the smallest margin in 14 months to continue a steady two month inflation trend of roughly three percent growth.

Statistics Korea says consumer prices last month rose by three-point-one percent year-on-year and zero-point-four percent month-on-month. January's inflation rate stood at three-point-four percent.

However, prices of school uniforms and textbooks surged with the beginning of the new semester in March, placing a larger burden on parents.

Consumer price growth reached four-point-seven percent in August last year and stood at four-point-two percent in November and December.

Benzin fiyatlari pespese 8 haftadir artisini sürdürdügünden ülke genelinde benzincilerde litresi 2.003,98 wona ulasarak yeni bir rekor kirdi.

Kore Ulusal Petrol Sirketi (KNOC) cuma günü ülke genelinde benzincilerde normal benzinin ortalama fiyatinin önceki haftaya göre 14.38 won artarak 2.003,98 wona ulastigini söyledi.

Bu, geçen yil Kasim ayinin ilk haftasinda ulasilan litresi 1.992,4 wonluk ilk rekordan daha fazla.

Sirket, Iran'i sararak artan gerginlikler ülkenin petrol tedarigini etkilediginden yükselme egiliminin bir süre daha devam etmesini bekliyor.

Gasoline prices have set a new high, recording two-thousand-three-point-98 won per liter at pumps nationwide as it continues its ascent for the eighth consecutive week.

The Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) on Friday said that the average price of regular gasoline at pumps nationwide posted two-thousand-three-point-98 won per liter this week, up 14-point-38 won from a week ago.

That’s larger than the previous record of one-thousand-992-point-four won per liter that was posted during the first week of November last year.

The corporation expects the upward trend will continue for a while as escalating tensions surrounding Iran affects the nation’s oil supply.

The quarter-ounce coins feature the event's mascots and monumental structures and will be on sale at banks between March 12 and 23. The Yeosu Expo will take place in South Korea's southern coastal city of Yeosu from May 12 through Aug. 12 under the theme, "The Living Ocean and Coast," with more than 109 nations and international organizations expected to attend.

Benzinin Tedarik Fiyati Yeni Bir Rekor Kirdi

Enerji fiyatlari yurtdisinda artmaya devam ettiginden Güney Koreli petrol sirketlerinin tedarik fiyatlari rekor seviyeye ulasti.

Kore Ulusal Petrol Kurumu, yerli petrol sirketlerinin önceki haftaya göre 30,10 won artis göstererek geçen hafta litresi ortalama 1010,3 wondan benzin tedarik ettigini söyledi.

Eski rekor, gazin litresi 987.10 wona çiktigi Temmuz 2008'de kirilmisti.

Dizelin tedarik fiyati litresi 1060,4 wondan alinarak tüm zamanlarin rekorunu kirdi.

Supply prices of South Korean oil companies have hit a record high as energy prices continue to rally abroad.

The Korea National Oil Corporation says domestic oil firms supplied gas at an average one-thousand-ten-point-three won per liter last week, up thirty-point-ten won from the previous week.

The old record was set in July 2008 when gas went for nine-hundred-87-point-ten won per liter.

The supply price for diesel was also at an all-time high, trading at one-thousand-60-point-four won per liter.

Samsung Elektronik ayni zamanda dünyada 12 milyondan fazla LED monitör satarak %23.3 pazar payina sahip olan ilk sirketti.

Samsung Electronics maintained its reigning position in the global monitor market for the fifth consecutive year in 2011.

According to market research firm IDC, Samsung Electronics’ monitor sales had a market share of 15.1 percent last year worldwide, making it the market leader for five years in a row.

Despite global financial woes, Samsung had managed to sell monitors in both developed and emerging countries in Central America and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Samsung Electronics was also the first company in the world to sell over 12 million LED monitors to enjoy a 23.3 percent market share.

Shares of monitors supplied by Samsung Electronics accounted for 15.1 percent in global markets last year, according to a report by market research firm International Data Corporation (IDC).

Kore Ticaret ve Sanayi Odasinin üretim ve servis endüstrilerindeki 300 firma üzerinde yakin zamanda yaptigi anket, sirketlerin %52'sinin Kore pop kültürü ya da "hallyu"`nun yayginlasmasi sayesinde satislarinin arttigini gösterdi.

Özellikle kültür, turizm, dagitim ve servis endüstrilerindeki satislar kayda deger.

Ankette, katilanlarin %83'ü hallyunun Güney Kore'nin imajini ve yurtdisinda Güney Kore mallarinin satisini yükselttigini söyledi.

Ek olarak firmalarin %43'ü yeni bir pazara gireceklerinde hallyunun etkilerini hissettiklerini söylediler.

A survey finds that the popularity of Korean pop culture greatly helps domestic companies increase their sales and advance into overseas markets.

The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s recent poll on 300 firms in the manufacturing and service industries shows that 52 percent of the companies saw their sales grow thanks to the spread of Korean pop culture, or “hallyu.”

The sales effects were especially notable in industries of culture, tourism, distribution and service.

In the survey, 83 percent of the respondents said that hallyu elevated the image of South Korea and South Korean products abroad.

In addition, 43 percent of the firms said they felt the effects and influence of hallyu when they were seeking to advance into a new market.

Banks to Expand Employment of High School Graduates

Woori Bank geçen yil 85 lise mezununu ise aldi ve bu yil da 200 kisiyi almayi planliyor.

Kore Sanayi Bankasi (IBK) 2011'deki 69 kisiden fazla olarak bu yil 100 lise mezununu ise almaya karar verdi.

Bu sirada, Kore Kalkinma Bankasi (KDB) lise mezunu çalisan sayisini 48'den 80'e çikaracak ve Kore Döviz Bankasi (KEB) ise geçen yilki 31 kisiden 2012'de 50'ye yükseltecek.

Domestic banks plan to sharply increase the number of high school graduates they hire.

Woori Bank recruited 85 high school graduates last year and plans to hire 200 this year.

The Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) decided to hire 100 high school graduates this year, up from 69 in 2011.

Meanwhile, the Korea Development Bank (KDB) will increase its number of high school grad hires from 48 last year to 80, and Korea Exchange Bank (KEB) will jump from 31 last year to 50 in 2012.

POSCO completes stainless steel plant in Vietnam

Güney Kore’nin önde gelen çelik üretici firmasi POSCO Güneydogu Asya pazarindan artan talepleri karsilamak için yeni paslanmaz çelik fabrikasini Vietnam’da tamamladiklarini duyurdu.

Sirket Güneydogu Asya ülkesinde 150.000 ton kapasiteli soguk haddeli paslanmaz çelik fabrikasinin insaati için Aralik 2010’dan beri toplam 130 milyon dolar harcandigini söyledi.

South Korea's leading steelmaker POSCO said Wednesday that it has completed a new stainless steel plant in Vietnam to meet growing demand in Southeast Asian markets.

The company said it has spent a total of US$130 million since December 2010 to build the cold-rolled stainless steel plant with a capacity of 150,000 tons in the Southeast Asian country.

Kore Uluslararasi Ticaret Birligi altindaki Uluslararasi Ticaret Kurumu, geçen yil Japonyadaki büyük depremin ardindan Güney Kore'nin Japon mallari ithalatinin düsmesine sebep olan seyleri analiz ettikten sonra persembe günü raporu yayinladi.

Anket yapilanlarin %30'u depremden 1 yil öncesine göre Japonya'dan ithalatin düstügünü söyledi.

Endüstriler de azalmanin sebebi olarak istikrarli yen fiyati ve iç pazardaki düsüsü gösterdi.

Üstelik ithalatçilarin %68'i iki tarafli ticaret paktlarinin tamamlanmasinin ardindan ABD ve Avrupa'dan ithalatlarini artiracaklarini söyledi.

A new report forecasts that South Korean firms are cutting back Japanese imports and are shifting their focus to the U.S. and Europe.

The Institute for International Trade under the Korea International Trade Association released the report on Thursday after analyzing what caused South Korea’s imports of Japanese goods to fall in the wake of Japan’s devastating earthquake last year. The institute’s report was based on a survey on 220 importers.

Thirty percent of the surveyed said imports from Japan fell compared to a year ago before the earthquake.

Industries also cited a rise in import prices due to the strong yen and a slump in the domestic market as reasons for cutting back.

Moreover, 68 percent of importers said they are willing to expand imports from the U.S. and Europe following the effectuation of bilateral trade pacts.
