Missing Hiker Rescued After 6 Days in Freezing Temperatures

Kayip Dagci Dondurucu Soguklarda Geçen 6 Günden Sonra Kurtarildi

Gangwon Eyaleti'ndeki Seorak Dagi'na tirmanirken kaybolan 40'li yaslardaki bir dagci 6 gün sonra mucizevi bir sekilde kurtarildi.
Bele kadar uzanan kardan dolayi, dagci Park dogru yolu bulmayi basaramadi ve kayboldu. O bir çok tehlikeli durumla savasti.
Pazartesi günü bir ambulans helikopter dagin üzerinde uçarken karla kapli vadide dagcinin bulundugu küçük yesil çadiri buldu.
Tek kolu olmamasina ve eksi 20 derecedeki dondurucu havaya ragmen, dagci alti gün boyunca bu felaketle mücadele etti ve sonunda kurtuldu.

A hiker in his 40s has been miraculously rescued six days after going missing while climbing Mount Seorak in Gangwon Province.
A rescue helicopter flying overhead spotted a small green tent in a snow-covered valley on the mountain on Monday.
Due to waist-high snow, Park failed to find the correct path and became lost. He survived several dangerous moments.
Despite his disability and the freezing weather of minus 20 degrees Celsius, the hiker withstood the disaster for six days and was finally rescued.

51 Quakes of Magnitude 2 or Greater Recorded in 2011

2011'de 2 ya da üstü siddetinde tam 51 deprem kaydedildi


Bölgenin hava durumu ajansi bu yil Kore Yarimadasi'nda 2 ya da üstü büyüklügünde toplam 51 deprem oldugunu belirledi.
Sali günü Kore Meteoroloji Yönetimi , yarimadanin bu yil ki ilk depreminin 4 Ocak'ta Güney Chungcheong Eyaleti, Gongju'da olan iki siddetindeki sarsinti oldugunu belirtti. Bu yilin son depremi ise Pazar günü Gangwon Eyaleti, Taebaek'de 2.3 siddetindeki sarsintiydi.

The nation’s weather agency has estimated that the Korean Peninsula experienced a total of 51 earthquakes of magnitude two or greater this year.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said Tuesday that the peninsula’s first earthquake this year was a two-magnitude quake in Gongju, South Chungcheong Province on January fourth. The last quake detected this year was a two-point-three-magnitude quake in Taebaek, Gangwon Province on Sunday.

Tamamen Kim tarafindan finanse edildi ve Suh tarafindan Wall Street Dergisi'nin 29 Aralik 2011 tarihli baskisinda "DO YOU HEAR?" basligi altindaki "comfort women" adina bir reklam hazirlandi. "Comfort women" terimi, 2. Dünya Savasi sirasinda Japon ordusu için seks köleligine zorlanan tahmini binlerce Güney Koreli ve yüzlerce diger Asyali kadinlari ifade etmektedir.

Four people killed in shipyard explosion

Tersanedeki Patlamada Dört Kisi Hayatini Kaybetti

Polisin açiklamasina göre, güneydogudaki sanayi kenti Ulsan’daki bir tersanede dört isçinin hayatini kaybettigi bir patlama meydana geldi.

Patlamanin oksijen kesme makinesi yüzünden olustugu sanilmakta ve patlama 08.50’de Seoul’un 410 km güneydogusunda bulunan Ulsan’daki Sejin Agir Sanayi’nin küçük boyutlu tersanesinde meydana geldi.

An explosion occurred at a shipyard in the southeastern industrial city of Ulsan on Friday, killing four workers, police said.

The explosion is believed to have been set off by an oxygen cutting machine and took place at a small-size shipmaker, Sejin Heavy Industries, based in Ulsan, 410 kilometers southeast of Seoul, at 8:50 a.m.

Two teenagers arrested for bullying

Polisin pazar günü yaptigi açiklamaya göre, sinif arkadaslarina zorbalik etme suçundan, zorbaliga ugrayan gencin intihar etmesinden 11 gün sonra iki ortaokul ögrencisi tutuklandi.

Sinif arkadaslari tarafindan acimasizca zorbalik edilen 14 yasindaki genç, 20 Aralikta Seoul’ün yaklasik 300 kilometre güneydogusunda bulunan Daegu’daki bir apartman binasindan atlayarak yasamini kaybetmisti.

Two middle school students were arrested on charges of bullying their classmate, police here said Saturday, 11 days after the bullied teenager committed suicide.

On Dec. 20, the 14-year-old jumped off an apartment building in Daegu, some 300 kilometers southeast of Seoul, to his death after being brutally bullied by his classmates.

U.N. chief expresses hopes for easing tensions on Korean Peninsula

BM Genel Sekreteri Ban Ki-moon, Kore Yarimadasi'ndaki tansiyonu gördügünü ve Kuzeydogu Asya da 2012 yilinin Koreliler için çok önemli olacagini söyleyerek gelecek yilin refah bir sekilde geçmesini umdugunu söyledi.

Memleketi Güney Kore halki için yeni yil mesajinda Ban, ikiye bölünmüs yarimada üzerindeki gerginligi azaltmak adina hiç bir zaman destegini esirgemeyecegi sözünü verdi.

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Friday he hopes to see tensions on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia ease next year, saying 2012 will be a very important one for Koreans.

In a New Year's message to the people of his native South Korea, Ban also said he will provide unsparing support as U.N. chief to help reduce tensions on the divided peninsula and in the region.
