Expo 2012 Yeosu to Open in May

2012 Yeosu Fuari Mayista Açilacak

2012 Fuari, "Yasayan Okyanus ve Sahil" temasi altinda Güney Jeolla Eyaletindeki güney sahil sehri Yeosu'da mayista açilacak.

Fuar, deniz kaynaklarinin tükenmesi gibi insanoglunun karsilasacagi okyanusla ilgili sorunlarin üzerine gitme yollari arayacak. 106 ülke ve 9 uluslararasi ajans etkinlikte yer alacak.

Yeosu Fuari, dünyanin ilk deniz sergisi tesisini ve Asya'nin en büyük akvaryumunu tanitacak.

Uluslararasi fuarin 8 milyon ziyaretçi çekmesi ve üç aylik isleyisi sirasinda 12.2 trilyon won kazandirmasi bekleniyor.

Kuzey Kore etkinlige katilirsa Yeosu Fuari, iki Kore arasindaki iliski baglaminda da önemli olacak. Organizasyon komitesi, geçen yilin kasim ayinda Paris'teki Uluslararasi Sergiler Bürosu araciligiyla Kuzey Kore'ye davet gönderdi.

The Expo 2012 will open in May in the southern coastal city of Yeosu, South Jeolla Province under the theme of “The Living Ocean and Coast.”

The expo will seek ways to address ocean-related problems facing humankind, such as the exhaustion of maritime resources. One-hundred-six countries and nine international agencies will take part in the event.

The Yeosu Expo will introduce the world’s first maritime exhibition facility and Asia’s largest aquarium.

The international exposition is expected to draw eight-million visitors and generate 12-point-two trillion won during its three-month run.

The Yeosu Expo would also be significant in the context of inter-Korean relations if North Korea participates in the event. The organizing committee sent an invitation to the North in early November last year via The International Exhibitions Bureau in Paris.
