S. Korea-U.S. FTA to take effect on March 15
Güney Kore-ABD Serbest Ticaret Anlasmasi 15 Mart'ta yürürlüge giriyor
Güney Kore Ticaret Bakani Bark Tae-ho, 15 Mart'ta yürürlüge girecek olan Güney ile Amerika Birlesik Devletleri arasinda imzalanan serbest ticaret anlasmasi (STA) ile ilgili disisleri bakanliginda basin toplantisi düzenledi. Muhalif milletvekillerinin siddetli protestolarina karsin Güney Kore parlamentosu geçen yilin Kasim ayinda serbest ticaret anlasmasini kabul etti. Anlasma, Temmuz 2007'de imzalanip Ekim 2011'de Amerikan Parlamentosu'nda kabul edilmistir. Her iki ülke anlasmanin yürürlüge giris tarihini karara baglamak için bir süredir çalismaktaydi.

South Korea's parliament approved the free trade pact in November last year despite vehement protests from opposition lawmakers. The deal was signed in July 2007 and approved by the U.S. Congress in October 2011. The two countries have been working to finalize a date for the implementation of the accord.

Gov’t Considers New Work Hours in Public Sector

Hükümet, Kamu Sektöründe Yeni Çalisma Saatleri Düsünüyor

Güney Kore, verimliligi artirmaya yardimci olmasi için bu yaz kamu sektöründe çalisma saatlerini degistirebilir.

Strateji ve Finans Bakani Bahk Jae-wan, çarsamba günü bir kriz yönetimi toplantisinda hükümetin, kamu yöneticileri ve devlet yönetimindeki sirketlerin çalisanlarinin saat 8.00'de ise baslayip 17.00'da isi birakacaklarini öngören yeni bir sistem tanitmayi düsündügünü söyledi.

Bakan, yaratici ve üretken çalisma uygulamalari ihtiyacini belirterek Güney Korelilerin çok uzun ancak verimsiz saatlerce çalistiginin bilindigini söyledi.

South Korea may shift work hours in the public sector this summer to help boost productivity.

Strategy and Finance Minister Bahk Jae-wan said in a crisis management meeting Wednesday the government is considering introducing a new system under which public officials and employees of state-run corporations would begin work at 8 a.m. and leave the office at 5 p.m.

The minister said South Koreans have been known for working too long and unproductive hours, noting the need to establish creative and productive working practices.

Gas price tops record high of 1,993.82 won per liter

Petrol fiyatlari litresi 1,993.82 won olan rekoru asti

23 Subat 2012 tarihinde Seoul'de bir benzin istasyonundaki fiyat tabelasi, standart benzinin satis fiyatinin litre basina 2,327 won (2.06 ABDdolari) oldugunu gösteriyor. Kore Ulusal Petrol Corp. tarafindan on-line olarak gönderilen verileri göre, Güney Kore'de benzin istasyonlarindaki standart benzinin ortalama fiyati, bir önceki günden ayni günkü 1,993.82 wonluk rekora 2.24 wonluk artis gösterdi.

Companies to Hire 5,000 for Nuclear Power Plant Projects

Nükleer enerji santrali projeleriyle baglantili kamu firmalari ve isletmeler bu yil 5000 kadar yeni çalisan almayi planliyor.

Bilgi Ekonomisi Bakanligi, cuma günü devlet baskani Lee Myung-bak'in baskanlik ettigi acil durum ekonomik önlem toplantisi sirasinda, yeni çalisanlarin ülkedeki enerji santrallerinde çalisacaklarini ve Birlesik Arap Emirliklerinde enerji santralleri insa edip çalistiracaklarini söyledi.

Bakanlik, Kore Hidro ve Nükleer Enerji Sirketi de dahil ulusal enerji sirketlerinin 2016'da Birlesik Arap Emirliklerindeki santral projelerine egitim için önceden yaklasik 1800 isçi almayi planladigini söyledi.

Yerli insaat sirketleri de enerji santralleri insaat projeleri için bu yil yaklasik 3200 kisiyi ise almayi planliyor.

Public firms and conglomerates engaged in nuclear power plant projects plan to hire some five-thousand new employees this year.

The Ministry of Knowledge Economy said during an emergency economic measures meeting presided over by President Lee Myung-bak on Friday that the new hires will operate domestic power plants and build and operate power plants in the United Arab Emirates.

The ministry said public energy companies, including the Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power Company, plan to hire around 18-hundred employees in advance for trainings for the plant projects in the United Arab Emirates in 2016.

Domestic construction companies also plan to hire around 32-hundred people this year for power plant construction projects.

82% of S.Korean Adults Hold Credit Cards

Güney Kore Yetiskinlerinin %82'si Kredi Kartina Sahip

Bir arastirma, on yetiskinden sekizinin kredi kartina sahip oldugunu ortaya çikardi.

Kore Tüketici Ajansi'nin anketi, iki bin yetiskinin %82'si veya katilimcilarin 1647'sinin en az bir tane kredi kartina sahip olduklarini söyledigini gösterdi.

%25'i üç ve %24'ü sadece bir taneye sahip iken %31'i iki kredi kartina sahip.

Katilimcilarin %12'si besten fazla kredi kartina sahip oldugunu söyledi.

A survey finds that eight out of ten adults own credit cards.

The Korea Consumer Agency’s poll on two thousand adults shows that 82 percent or one-thousand-647 of the respondents said they own at least one credit card.

Thirty-one percent hold two credit cards, while 25 percent have three and 24 percent own just one.

Twelve percent of the respondents said they own more than five credit cards.
