Samsung Shares Plunge On Defeat To Apple

Samsung Hisseleri, Apple Yenilgisi Nedeniyle Hızla Düştü

Seoul’deki bir elektronik finans kuruluşu, Samsung Elektronik A.Ş.’nin 27 Ağustostaki seansta, 1.180.000 won(1,039.65 dolar) ile yüzde 7.45 oranında hızlı bir düşüş yaşadığını söyledi. Bu hızlı düşüşe, ABD’deki patent davasında, Apple karşısında Samsung’un yenilgiye uğraması neden olmuştur. Piyasa değeri, tek günlük seansta, 13.99 trilyon won(12.32 milyar dolar) azaldı.

Consumer Sentiment Turns Negative in August

Tüketici Güveni, Ağustos Ayında Negatife Dönüştü

Ekonomik koşullar içinde, tüketici güvenini ölçen endeks, yedi ay içinde ilk kez negatif bölgeye kaydı.

Kore Bankası’nın anketine göre, tüketici güven endeksi(TGE), 99 puana düştü.

Bu kriter, eğer 100’ün altındaysa negatif durumu ifade etmektedir. Endeks, Ocak ayından bu yana ilk defa 100 puanın altına düştü.

Hanehalkının mevcut tüketici hissiyatı ile ilgili endeks, geçen ay olduğu gibi bu ay da 87 puan oldu;ancak gelecekteki beklentiler, 92 puan olacağı yönündedir.

The index measuring consumer confidence in economic conditions has shifted into negative territory for the first time in seven months.

The Bank of Korea surveyed the consumer sentiment index(CSI) for August, which fell one point to 99.

A reading below the benchmark 100 means pessimists outnumber optimists. It's the first time the index dipped below 100 since January.

The index on households' current consumer sentiment was the same as last month at 87 points but the index for future outlook fell one point to 92.

Hyundai Motor starts work on joint-venture plant in China

Hyundai Motor Çin'de Tesis Kurmak İçin Ortak Girişimi Başlattı

Güney Kore'nin en büyük otomobil üreticisi Hyundai Motor, salı günü Çinli bir fabrika ile Çin'de ticari araç tesisi kurmak için bir ilk gerçekleştirerek ortak girişimde bulunulacağını açıkladı.

Hyundai Motor bir basın açıklamasında, Hyundai Motor ve Çin'in Sichuan Nanjun Otomobil Grubu arasında yüzde 50 yüzde 50 ortak girişime göre, Sichuan Hyundai Motor'un, 2014'ün ilk yarısına kadar Ziyang ilinin doğu bölgesinde tesisi tamamlanacağı belirtildi.

Hyundai, tesis yapımı tamamlandığı takdirde fabrikanın 150 bin kamyon ve 100 bin otobüs kapasitesine sahip olacağını açıkladı.

Hyundai Motor Co., South Korea's biggest automaker, said Tuesday its joint venture with a Chinese firm has broken ground for a commercial vehicle plant in central China.

Sichuan Hyundai Motor Co., a 50-50 joint venture between Hyundai Motor and China's Sichuan Nanjun Automobile Group, will complete the plant in Ziyang in the eastern area of the province by the first half of 2014, Hyundai Motor said in a press release.

If completed, the plant will have an annual capacity of 150,000 trucks and 10,000 buses, Hyundai Motor said.

LG to release Optimus G next month

Güney Kore'nin iki numaralı telefon üreticisi LG Elektronik Şirketi salı günü, cep telefon alanında nüfuzunu arttırmak ve daha iyi konumdaki Samsung Elektronik Şirketi ve Apple Şirketi ile rekabet amacıyla önümüzdeki ay Optimus G'yi piyasaya süreceğini açıkladı.

Şirket haber ajansından, Optimus G'nin önümüzdeki ay yerel raflarda, yıl sonunda da yurtdışı pazarındaki raflarda satışa çıkaracağının ayarladığı söylendi.

LG Electronics Inc., South Korea's No. 2 mobile phone maker, said Tuesday it plans to release the Optimus G next month in a bid to reclaim its mobile phone clout and better compete with top players Samsung Electronics Co. and Apple Inc.

The Optimus G is set to hit local shelves next month and expand sales to overseas markets by the end of the year, the company said in a news release.

Reporting on Offshore Accounts Surge under New Rule

Yeni Kanun Çerçevesinde Dış Hesaplara İlişkin Raporlar Arttı

Geçen yıl yurtdışında vergi kaçaklarının önlenmesi için oluşturulan sistemden bu yana daha fazla Güney Koreli yurtdışı finans hesaplarını bildiriyor.

Ulusal Vergi Dairesi, yurtdışı hesaplarındaki toplam 18,6 trilyon won için bu yıl 652 kişi ve kuruluştan rapor aldığını söyledi. Bu hesapların en az bir milyar veya daha fazla won elde ettiği kaydedildi.

Daire, gönüllü sistemin bu yıl yüzde 24 oranında raporları artırarak, yurtdışı hesapları arasındaki parasal değerin yüzde 62'den daha fazla olmasına neden oldu.

Kore ve İsviçre arasında imzalanan bir vergi anlaşmasının yürürlüğe girmesinden bu yana, Güney Koreliler İsviçre banka hesaplarında 100,3 milyar won fon olduğunu bildirdi. Antlaşma, Avrupa ülkesinde oluşturulan gizli hesapların izlenmesini sağladı. Bildirilen İsviçre hesaplarındaki fonlar, geçen yıl sadece 7,3 milyar wondu.

More South Koreans are reporting on their overseas financial accounts since a voluntary system was introduced last year to prevent offshore tax evasion.

The National Tax Service says it received reports from 652 individuals and corporations this year for a total of 18-point-six trillion won in offshore accounts. It noted the accounts held at least one billion won or more.

The service said the voluntary system boosted reporting by 24 percent this year, resulting in a 62 percent higher acknowledged monetary value among offshore accounts.

In particular, South Koreans reported 100-point-three billion won of funds in Swiss bank accounts since last month when a tax treaty signed between Korea and Switzerland took effect. The treaty has enabled the tracing of secret accounts held in the European country. Reported funds in Swiss accounts stood at just seven-point-three billion won last year.
