Ocak ayından beri onursal temsilcimiz, Los Angeles Dodgers'ta oynayan Ryu Hyun-jin, 5 Kasım 2013 tarihinde Seoul'deki Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel'de avuç içini bastırdı. Amerika Ulusal Beyzbol Ligi sezonunu kapatan sol elini kullanan atıcı, Ulusal Lig çaylakları arasında atışta birinci ve ERA' da ikinci sırada yer aldı. Güney Koreli top atıcı, Kore'de kaldığı süre boyunca otelde yapılacak iki hayırsever etkinliğine katılacak.

Kore Ssirum Birliği tarafından 8 Kasım 2013 tarihinde yayımlanan bir fotoğrafta, Amerikalı Curtis Johnson'ın ne kadar uzun boylu olduğunu göstermek için kaldırdığı avucuna, yetişkin bir erkeğin atlayarak ulaşmaya çalıştığı ancak başarısız olduğu görülüyor. Sixteen Players Declare Free Agency in KBO

KBO'dan 16 Oyuncu Davranış Özgürlüğünü İlan Etti

Ülkenin zirvesindeki beysbol ligi 16 oyuncunun cumartesi günü bu sezon için davranış özgürlüğünü ilan ettiğini söyledi.

Kore Beysbol Birliği (KBO) 21 oyuncu için davranış özgürlüğü geçerli fakat 5 oyuncu antremanlarına devam etmek için seçildiler.

The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) announced that out of 21 players eligible for free agency, all but five have chosen to exercise their rights.

Kayak Pisti Açıldı

Seoul’un 182 km doğusunda yer alan, kayakçıların rahatlıkla kayabildiği, ülkenin en popüler kayak merkezlerinden biri olan Phoenix Park 11 Kasım 2013’te açıldı. Merkezde sonbahar yaprakları henüz yok olmadı ve kış mevsimi gelmiş gibi görünmüyor fakat kayak merkezi yöneticileri sıcaklığın sıfır derecenin altına düşmesiyle birlikte merkezin açılmasına karar verdiler.

Güney Kore’nin İsviçre ve Rusya ile Dostluk Maçı

9 Kasım 2013 tarihinde Hamburg - Budesliga maçı sırasında hettrik yapan (üç gol atan) Güney Kore’nin Bayer Leverkusen forveti Son Heung-min, 12 Kasım günü Seoul’ün kuzeyinde yer alan Paju’da bulunan Ulusal Futbol Merkezi'nde bir basın toplantısı sırasında soruları yanıtladı. Son, 15 Kasım’da Seoul’de İsviçre ile ve 19 Kasım’da Dubai’de Rusya ile yapılacak dostluk maçı nedeniyle Güney Kore Dünya Kupası ekibine katılmak için eve döndü.

S. Korean Football Team Beats Swiss 2:1 in Friendly

Güney Kore Futbol Takımı Dostluk Maçında İsviçre'yi 2-1 Yendi

Güney Kore milli futbol takımı cuma günü Seoul'de yapılan dostluk maçında İsviçre'ye karşı galibiyet kazandı.

Güney Kore milli takımı Seoul Dünya Kupası Stadyumu'nda yapılan maçta Hong Myung-bo antrenörlüğüyle birlikte Lee Chung-yong'un son 5 dakika kala attığı gol ve Hong Jeong-ho'nun attığı golle İsviçre'yi 2-1 yendi.

Cuma günü kazanılan galibiyetle birlikte Güney Kore İsviçre'ye bir kez yenilmiş ve bir kez kazanmış oldu. Almanya'da İsviçre'yle yapılan 2006 Dünya Kupası karşılaşmasında Güney Kore 2-0 kaybetmişti.

Defansçı Lee Young-pyo, son oyununu bitirmeden önce devre arası boyunca hayranlarına veda etti.

İsviçre dünya sırlamasında 7. sırayı alırken, Güney Kore 56. sıraya yerleşti.

South Korea's national football team won a come-from-behind victory over Switzerland in a friendly in Seoul on Friday.

At the Seoul World Cup Stadium, the South Korean national team led by coach Hong Myung-bo beat Switzerland 2:1 with Hong Jeong-ho's score-tying goal before the hour mark and Lee Chung-yong's tie-breaking goal with just five minutes remaining.

With the victory on Friday, South Korea now records one win and one loss with the Swiss. The last encounter between South Korea and Switzerland was at the 2006 World Cup in Germany where South Korea lost to Switzerland two nil.

During the half time break, defender Lee Young-pyo bid farewell to his fans before finishing his final game.

South Korea is ranked 56th in the world while the Swiss rank 7th.

Güney Koreli Kayakçı 500 Metrede Dünya Rekoru ile Altın Madalyayı Kazandı

Güney Koreli patenci Lee Sang-hwa, cuma günü bayanlar 500 metrede kendine ait olan dünya rekorunu ikinci kez kırdı.

Lee, ABD’nin Utah eyaletinin Salt Lake City kentinde düzenlenen Uluslararası Paten Birliği (ISU) Sürat Pateni Dünya Kupası’nın ikinci ayağında bayanlar 500 metrede Çinli rakibi Wang Beixing’in 0 puan 28 saniyelik skorunu geçerek 36 puan 57 saniye ile kazandı.

Lee, geçen cumartesi Kanada’nın Calgary kentindeki ilk yarıştan 0 puan 17 saniye daha hızlı bitirdi.

Bu arada, Mo Tae-beom düştü ve Salt Lake City’de erkekler 500 metrede madalya kazanma şansını kaybetti.

South Korean speed skater Lee Sang-hwa broke her own world record in the women's 500 meters for the second time in a week on Friday.

Lee won the women's 500 meters in 36-point-57 seconds at the second leg of the International Skating Union (ISU) Speed Skating World Cup, held in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States, beating China's Wang Beixing by 0-point-28 seconds.

Lee finished 0-point-17 seconds faster than the first event in Calgary, Canada, last Saturday.

Meanwhile, Mo Tae-beom fell and lost his chance to earn a medal at men's 500 meters in Salt Lake City.
