South Korean President Lee Myung-bak arrived in Paris on Thursday for talks with French President Nicolas Sarkozy expected to focus on ways to expand trade and investment as well as cooperation in the framework of the Group of 20 forum.

Paris is the last leg of Lee's week-long tour that already took him to Denmark and Germany.

Lee discusses international issues with top French scholars

Lee, Fransa'nin Üst Düzey Yetkilileriyle Uluslararasi Konulari Görüstü

Güney Kore Devlet Baskani Lee Myung-bak cumartesi günü, Fransa'nin üst düzey yetkilileriyle küresellesme, ticaret açikligi ve Kuzey Kore gibi önemli uluslararasi konular üzerinde fikir alisverisinde bulunmak üzere görüstü.

Bir haftalik Avrupa gezisinde olan Lee için Paris, gezinin son ayagini olusturuyor. Lee'nin görüstügü yetkililer arasinda Fransa'nin taninmis ekonomistleri Guy Sorman ve Thierry de Montbrial, eski Disisleri Bakani Hubert Vedrine, savunma uzmani Camille Grand ile Sürdürülebilir Kalkinma ve Uluslararasi Iliskiler Enstitüsü Baskani Laurence Tubiana da bulunuyor.

South Korean President Lee Myung-bak met with top French scholars on Saturday to exchange views on major international issues such as globalization, trade openness and North Korea, his office said.

Lee was in Paris on the final leg of a weeklong trip to Europe which already took him to Germany and Denmark. The French scholars who met Lee included renowned economists Guy Sorman and Thierry de Montbrial, former Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine, defense expert Camille Grand and Laurence Tubiana, director of the Institute of Sustainable Development and International Relations.
