Incheon Grand Bridge Lit Up At Night

Gece Büyük Incheon Köprüsü Büyülüyor

Kore’nin en büyük köprüsü olan Incheon’daki Yeongjong Adasi ile Songdo Sehri’ni bir birine baglayan Büyük Incheon Köprüsü’ne 176 renk degistirici ve 600 isik eklendi. Bu isiklar agustos ayindan bu yana kullanilmaya devam ediyor.

The longest bridge in Korea, the Incheon Grand Bridge, which links the Yeongjong Islad in Incheon with the Songdo International City, has had 176 color changers near the center and 600 lights added. These lights have been in operation since August.

Asia-Pacific AIDS congress opens in Busan

Asya-Pasifik AIDS Kongresi Busan'da Toplandi

Asya ve pasifik (ICAAP) Uluslararasi AIDS Konferansi 70 ülkeden gelen 4000 katilimci ile Güney Kore'nin güneyindeki liman kenti Busan'da cuma günü gerçeklestirildi.

Sali gününe kadar sürecek olan iki yilda bir yapilan AIDS kongresinin 10.sunun temasi "Farkli Sesler, Birlesik Eylemler"dir. ICAAP, 30 yil önce ortaya çikan bu hastalikla ilgili toplanan ikinci büyük konferanstir. Bu yilki etkinlik AIDS konusunda Güney Kore'de düzenlenen en büyük uluslararasi konferanstir.

Yerel organizasyon komite baskani Cho Myung-hwan "Yaklasan AIDS kongresi ile toplumun temelindeki ayricaliklari ve önyargilari kirmak için mükemmel bir firsat olacagini umuyoruz" demisti.

UNAIDS'in verileri, 2010 yilinin sonu itibari ile 34 milyon kisinin insanin bagisiklik sistemini güçsüzlestiren AIDS virüsü ile yasadigini ve bunlarin 7000'inin de Güney Kore'de yasadigini gösteriyor.

The International Conference on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP) kicked off its congress in South Korea's southern port city of Busan Friday with some 4,000 people from 70 countries taking part in the event.

The 10th AIDS congress will run until Tuesday under the theme of "Diverse Voices, United Action," local organizers of the biennial meeting said. The ICAAP is the world's second-largest conference on the disease discovered 30 years ago. This year's event marks the largest international conference held on AIDS in South Korea.

"I hope this upcoming congress will become an opportunity to resolve our society's underlying discrimination and bias toward AIDS," Cho Myung-hwan, head of the local organizing committee, said earlier.

As of the end of 2010, there were 34 million people in the world living with the human immunodeficiency virus that causes AIDS, according to UNAIDS. About 7,000 of them currently live in South Korea.

FSS to Enhance ID Confirmation in Card Issuance

FSS Kart Almak Isteyenlerden Artik Daha Fazla Belge Isteyecek

Mali Denetim Servisi (FSS) kredi karti çikaran kisilerin kimliklerini dogrulama yöntemlerini gelistirmeyi düsünüyor.

FSS cuma günün yaptigi açiklamada baskalarinin kisisel bilgileri kullanarak kredi karti verilmesini önlemek için çalismalar yaptiklarini söyledi.

Yapilacak tedbir kapsaminda kredi karti sirketlerine kredi kartlarini onaylamadan önce basvuranin ismini, yerlesik kayit numarasini, hesap numarasini ve ikamet adresini almalari gerektigini bildirdi.

Geçen hafta bir kredi kartina kart sahibinin kisisel bilgileri kullanarak ulasan birinden sonra böyle bir uygulama yapilmasina karar verildi.

The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) plans to enhance identification confirmation in issuing credit cards.

The FSS on Friday said that the move is aimed to prevent the issuance of credit cards using hacked personal information, citing recent massive hacking attacks on domestic leading portals.

Under the measure, credit card companies will likely be required to confirm names, resident registration numbers, account numbers and the issuance date of resident registration numbers before they issue a credit card.

The move comes after a case in which a credit card was issued last week using hacked personal information.

Peru Police Find Car Used by Kidnappers of Korean Student

Polis Lima’da kaçirilan Koreli bir lise ögrencisini bulmaya çalisiyor, Peru’da kaçirilirken kullanilan araba bulundu.

Yerel gazetelere göre, yerel polis cuma günü Lima’nin kenar mahallelerinde arabayi buldu. Soyadinin “Kim” oldugu bilinen 18 yasindaki çocuk, dört gün önce okula giderken kaçirildi.

Arastirmacilar arabanin içinde kalan esyalari ariyor. Çogu dizüstü bilgisayari ve IPhone’ununda aralarinda oldugu çocugun kisisel esyalari hala aracin içinde bulunuyor.

Peru medyasi, kaçiranlarin Kim’i geri vermek için 500 milyon peru sonu yani yaklasik 1,9 milyar won istediklerini açikladi. Polis, kendisinin güvende olup olmadiginin bilinmesinin zor oldugunu açikladi.

Police investigating the kidnapping a Korean high school student in Lima, Peru have found the car used in the abduction.

According to local news outlets, local police found the car on the outskirts of Lima Friday. The 18-year-old boy identified by his surname “Kim” was kidnapped on his way to school four days ago.

Investigators are looking into articles that were left inside the car. Most of the boy’s personal belongings, including his notebook computer and iPhone, were still in the vehicle.

Peruvian media said that the kidnappers have demanded 500 million Peruvian sol or roughly one-point-nine billion won for Kim’s return. The police said that it is difficult to conclude whether he is safe or not.

Tekstil fabrikasindaki patlamada 5 ölü, 2 yarali

Polisin yaptigi açiklamalara göre, Güney Kore'nin güneydogusundaki bir tekstil firmasinda olusan patlamanin sonucu olarak çikan yanginda 5 kisi öldü ve 2 kisi yaralandi.

Ani patlama, cumartesi günü saat 13:35 sularinda Gumi sehrinde bulunan tekstil sirketi TK Chemical'in bir fabrikasinin laboratuarinda meydana geldi.

Explosion at textile factory kills 5, injures 2

An explosion sparked a fire at a textile factory in southeastern South Korea, killing five people and injuring two others, police said.

The apparent explosion broke out at around 1:35 p.m. at the laboratory in a factory building of textile company TK Chemical in the city of Gumi.
