Lee Jong Suk (이종석, 14 Eylül 1989 doğumlu) Güney Koreli aktör ve modeldir. Çıkısını 2005 yılında bir kısa film olan Sympathy (Sempati) ile yapmıştır. Jong Suk çeşitli şirketler için özellikle CASS Beer Fresh için Kim Woo-bin ve New Asics için Ha Ji-won’la oynadığı reklamlarla ön plana çıkmıştır. School 2013’le 2012 KBS Drama Ödülleri'nde En İyi Yeni Erkek Oyuncu Ödülü'nü kazandı. 2013 yılında Lee Jong Suk Kore eğlence endüstrisinde en tanınmış ödüllerinden biri olan Gallup Kore tarafından yapılan 'Actors Who Lit Up 2013' başlıklı bir ankete göre beşinci sırayı aldı.

Kariyeri

Güney Kore Konkuk Üniversitesi'nde Profesyonel Sinema Sanatları bölümünden Lee Jong Suk , orta okulda iken SBS TV istasyonun aktörler için düzenlediği bir seçmede yer aldı. O aktörlüğe SBS’in 7. açık aktör alımıyla başladı.

Onun modellik kariyerinde Lee Jong Suk , Seoul Koleksiyonu programının genç erkek modeli oldu.

2010 yılında Lee, Prosecutor Princess ve Secret Garden başlıklı iki Güney Kore TV dizisinde oynadı. Lee’nin uzun boyu ve sevimli görünümünün yanı sıra doğal oyunculuk yetenekleriyle insanların dikkatini çekti. Onun en başarılı ve iyi bilinen rolü Secret Garden’daki müzisyen Han Tae Sun rolüdür.

2011 Eylül ayında Lee, MBC High Kick Sezon 3’te göründü.
Korku filmi Ghost’taki ilk oyunculuk deneyiminden sonra Return to Base filminde ana karakter olarak R2B’nin yıldızı oldu. Rain’le birlikte F-15K pilot takımının bir parçası olarak önemli rollerinden birini oynadı. Film Kore Savaşı'nı anlatan 1964 yapımı Red Muffler/Scarf’ın versiyonudur.

2012 yılında School 2013’te kayıp bir lise öğrencisi olan Go Nam Soon rolünü oynadı. SBS dizisi olan I Can Hear Your Voice ile Kore Dizi Ödülleri’nde erkekler kategorisinde Mükemmellik ödülünü aldı.
2014 yılında Hot Young Bloods filminde Park Bo-young ile birlikte rol alacak. Bu film tamamen gençlerin hızlı akan kanı gibi sıcak romantizme odaklanacak. Bununla birlikte No Breathing filminde Seo In-guk ve Girls’ Generation’dan Kwon Yuri ile birlikte ana aktörlerden biriydi.

Hayırseverlik İşleri

Kasım 2013 tarihinden bu yana Lee Jong-suk 'Good Library Project’ in elçisi olarak körlere yardım etmek için sesini kullanıyor. Standard Chartered Bank'ın projeye yüzü ve sesi. Proje, insanların kör insanlara yardım etmek amaçlı kitap okuyup seslerini kayıt ederek seslerini bağışlarlar ve böylece kör insanlar da kendi hikayelerinden zevk alabilirler.

Lee Jong Suk (이종석, born 14 September 1989) is a South Korean actor and model. He debuted in 2005 with the short film Sympathy. Jong Suk has appeared on CFs for several companies and notably for CASS Beer Fresh with Kim Woo-bin and New Asics with Ha Ji-won. He also won Best New Actor at the 2012 KBS Drama Awards - for School 2013. In 2013 Lee Jong Suk ranked respectively in fifth place according to a survey entitled 'Actors Who Lit Up 2013' by Gallup Korea, one of the most recognized awards in Korea for the entertainment industry.

Career

Lee Jong Suk, who's majoring in Professional Motion Pictures Art at South Korean Konkuk University, took part in a selection for actors at SBS TV station when he was still in the middle school. He participated in acting activities as one of the SBS 7th open recruiting actors.

In his modelling career, Lee Jong Suk became the youngest male model of the Seoul Collection program.

In 2010, Lee acted in two South Korean TV series titled Prosecutor Princess and Secret Garden. Lee caught people's eyes with his tall, charming appearance as well as his natural acting abilities. His most successful and well-known role is musician Han Tae Sun from Secret Garden.

In 2011 September, Lee appeared in MBC's High Kick Season 3.
After his first acting experience in the scary movie Ghosts, Jong Suk will star in the film R2B: Return to Base as a main character in his first flight movie. He plays an important role with Rain appearing as part of a team of F-15K pilots. It is a remake of the original 1964 Korean Film Red Muffler/Scarf set during the Korean War.

In 2012 he played Go Nam Soon, a lost high school student, in the drama School 2013. He received the Excellence Award in the male category award during the Korea Drama Awards for his role in SBS television series I Can Hear Your Voice.

His 2014 movie is called Hot Young Bloods with Park Bo-young. This movie will have more of a focus on romance, that’s "as hot as the blood that runs in youth."Furthermore he was one of the lead actor in the movie No Breathing with Seo In-guk and Kwon Yuri from Girls' Generation.

Philanthropy

Since November 2013 Lee Jong-suk uses his voice to help the blind as the New Ambassador for the 'Good Library Project'. He is lending his face and voice to Standard Chartered Bank's project. The project gets people to donate their voices to reading books for recording so that blind people may also enjoy their stories.
