Dynasty dishes for foreign envoys

Yabancı Temsilciler İçin Hanedan Yemekleri

Seoul'un güneyindeki Suwon'da yer alan Köy Kalkınma Ajansından bir personel, Joseon Hanedanlığı (1392-1910) döneminde Çin'deki Ming ve Qing Hanedanlıklarından yabancı temsilcilere sunmak için hazırlanan et ve sebzelerle yapılmış yemekleri sergiliyor. Yemekler "Yeong- jeop-dogam-uigwe" adlı kitaba göre yapıldı ve kitapta yabancı temsilcileri karşılama ve davranışlar için gereken görgü kuralları ayrıntılarıyla anlatılmakta.

Güney Koreli önde gelen müzik yapım şirketi, Perşembe günü Londra West End. Bölgesinde İngilizce müzikal çıkışını yapmaya hazırlandığını söyledi.

Acom International Şirketi, hit Koreli müzikaller “The Last Empress (Son İmparatoriçe)” ve “Hero (Kahraman)’nun yapımcısı, geçen ay Londra’da Charing Cross Tiyatrosu’nda yeni müzikal “Woyzeck”in ikinci bir performansı olduğunu söyledi.

Acom International Co., producer of hit Korean musicals "The Last Empress" and "Hero," said it had a second workshop performance of the new musical "Woyzeck" at Charing Cross Theater in London last month.

National Academy of Arts Selects New Members

Ulusal Sanat Akademisi Yeni Üyelerini Seçti

Kore Cumhuriyeti Ulusal Sanat Akademisi, perşembe günü yapılan genel toplantıda yeni üyeler olarak yönetmen Byun Jang-ho ve şairler Yoo Ah-jin ve Chong Hyon-jong’u seçti.

Byun, Kore Film Yönetmenleri Derneği ve Kore Hareketli Sineme Derneği başkanı olarak hizmet vermişti. Yönettiği filmler arasında "Love and Farewell (Aşk ve Veda)" (1984), "Eve's second bedroom (Eve’nin İkinci Yatak Odası)" (1987) ve “Potato (Patetes)” (1988) yer almaktadır. 1988 yılında 33. Asya-Pasifik Film Festivali’nde ödül kazanmıştır.

National Academy of Arts Selects New Members
SEOUL, July 5 (Yonhap) -- The National Academy of Arts, The Republic of Korea (NAA) selected film director Byun Jang-ho and poets Yoo An-jin and Chong Hyon-jong as new members in a general meeting held Thursday.

Byun has served as chairman of the Korea Film Directors' Association and the Motion Pictures Association of Korea. Among the movies he has directed are "Love and Farewell" (1984), "Eve's second bedroom" (1987) and "Potato" (1988), a winner at the 33rd Asia-Pacific Film Festival in 1988.

Korean Film DVD Wins 'Best Rediscovery' Award at Il Cinema Ritrovato

II. Ritrovato Sineması’nda Kore Film DVD’si “En İyi Yeniden Keşif” Ödülünü Kazandı

Kore Film Arşivi (KOFA), perşembe günü "Landscape of Postwar Period (Savaş Sonrası Dönemin Manzarası) başlıklı klasik Kore filmlerinin DVD setinin, yakın zamanda Bologna İtalya’da sona eren II. Ritrovato Sineması’nın “En İyi Yeniden Keşif” ödülünü aldığını söyledi.

"Landscape of Postwar Period (Savaş Sonrası Dönemin Manzarası), 1950-53 Kore Savaşı’ndan sonra çok sıkıntılı bir dönemi anlatan dört büyük Koreli yönetmenin filmlerinden oluşan bir settir. Bu filmler, ülkenin ilk kadın yönetmeni olan Park Nam-ok tarafından “Widow”; Shin Sang-ok tarafından "Flower in Hell (Cehennem Çiçeği)" (1958); Kim So-dong tarafından “Money(Para)” (1958) ve Kwon Yung-soon tarafından “A Drifting Story (Bir Rüzgarın Öyküsü)” (1960)dir.

A DVD set of classic Korean movies titled "Landscape of Postwar Period" received the "Best Rediscovery" award of the Il Cinema Ritorva, which recently ended in Bologna, Italy, the Korean Film Archive (KOFA) said Thursday.

Landscape of Postwar Period is a set of four Korean features by four major directors during a very troubled era following the 1950-1953 Korean War. The films are "Widow" (1955) by Park Nam-ok, the first female director of the country; "Flower in Hell" (1958) by Shin Sang-ok; "Money" (1958) by Kim So-dong; and "A Drifting Story" (1960) by Kwon Yung-soon.
