Signs of a Field from New Stone Age Discovered

Yeni Taş Çağına Ait Tarla İzleri Bulundu

Gangwon Eyaleti, Goseong'daki tarihi bir alanda Cilalı Taş Dönemine ait tarla kalıntıları bulundu; bu da Yeni Taş Çağında Kore Yarımadasında tarımın var olduğunu gösteriyor.

Ulusal Kültür Varlıkları Araştırma Enstitüsü salı günü, araştırmacıların alanı araştırırken kalıntılar arasında Cilalı Taş Devrine ait tarla izleri bulduğunu açıkladı.

Enstitü, taş gereç ve karbonlu tahılların daha önceden ortaya çıkarıldığını fakat Yeni Taş Döneminde tarımın var olduğunun somut kanıtı olan döneme ait tarla kalıntılarının ilk keşfi olduğunu açıkladı.

Enstitü, Güney Kore'de bulunan eski tarla kalıntıları arasında Bronz Çağına ait olanların şimdiye dek en eskileri olduğunu ve yeni bulunan tarla kalıntılarının Yeni Taş Devrinin ortalarına ait olduğunun tahmin edildiğini bildirdi.

Remains of a field from the Neolithic Period have been found at a historic site in Goseong, Gangwon Province, showing that farming did exist on the Korean Peninsula during the New Stone Age.

The National Cultural Properties Research Institute said on Tuesday that researchers discovered tracks of a field from the Neolithic times at the ruins while examining the sites.

The institute said that stone tools and carbonized grains were discovered before, but this is the first discovery of field remains from the era, concrete evidence that agriculture existed in the New Stone Age.

The institute added that among relics of ancient fields found in South Korea, those from the Bronze Age have been the oldest so far, and that the newly discovered field remains is presumed to be from the middle years of the New Stone Age.

Art Council to Hold Symposium in London

Sanat Konseyi Londra'da Sempozyum Düzenleyecek

Kore Sanat Konseyi, cuma gününden temmuz ayına kadar Londra'da modern Kore sanatı üzerine uluslararası bir sempozyum düzenleyecek.

Konsey, sempozyumun modern ve çağdaş Kore sanatı hakkında çeşitli görüntüler göstereceğini ve bu küreselleşme döneminde modern Kore sanatı sektörünün yönünü ve geleceğini ele alacağını söyledi.

Sempozyuma katılanlar arasında Kore Ulusal Sanat Üniversitesi Profesörü Yang Jung-moon ve Ulusal Çağdaş Sanat Müzesi Müdürü Kim In-hye de var. Ayrıca sempozyumda Koreli sanatçıların eserleri tanıtılacak.

The Arts Council Korea will hold an international symposium on Korea’s modern art in London from Friday to July first.

The council said that the symposium will provide a variety of views on Korea’s modern and contemporary art and discuss the direction and future of the modern Korean art sector in the age of globalization.

Participants in the symposium include Yang Jung-moon, a professor at the Korea National University of Arts, and Kim In-hye, a curator at the National Museum of Contemporary Art. The symposium will also give Korean artists opportunities to introduce their artworks.

Seoul's Old City Hall To Be Turned Into Public Library

Seoul’ün Eski Belediye Binası Halk Kütüphanesine Dönüştürülecek

Şehir yönetiminin açıklamasına göre, belediye kültürel tanıtım projelerinin bir parçası olarak başkentin merkezindeki eski belediye binası kütüphaneye dönüştürülecek.

1910-45 yıllarındaki sömürge yönetimi sırasında Japon Hükümeti tarafından yarımadada yapılan belediye binasının bir parçasının yıkılmasından sonra Seoul Büyükşehir Belediyesi 2009’dan beri yeni bir belediye binası inşa etmektedir.

Seoul's old city hall at the center of the capital will be transformed into a public library, as part of the municipal government's cultural promotion projects, the city government said Thursday.

Since 2009, the Seoul Metropolitan Government has been building a new city hall after tearing down part of the old one, which was built in 1926 by the Japanese government during its 1910-45 colonial rule on the peninsula.

11 ulustan 18 müzisyenden oluşan bir grup 29 Haziran 2012'de Seoul'deki Ulusal Gugak Merkezi'ndeki geleneksel Kore enstrümanlarını çalıyorlar. Merkez yabancı müzisyenlerin gugak ya da geleneksel Kore müziğini öğrenmeleri için iki haftalık bir program düzenlediler.

Web Site Launched to Introduce Korean Contemporary Art

Modern Kore Sanatını Tanıtacak Websitesi Açıldı

Modern Kore sanatının uluslararası değişimini kolaylaştırmak için modern Kore sanatının siber ortamlarından biri olan Artro (www.TheArtro.kr) açıldı.

Kültür Bakanlığı ve Kore Sanat İdare Servisi pazartesi günü internet sitesini açtı. Artro, modern Kore sanatını kapsayan mevcut meseleleri tanıtıp Korece ve İngilizce dillerinde sergiler, sanatçılar, destek bilgisi ve röportajlar hakkında bilgi sunacak.

The Artro (www.TheArtro.kr), a cyber platform for Korean contemporary art, has been launched to facilitate the international exchange of Korean contemporary art.

The Culture Ministry and the Korea Arts Management Service opened the Web site on Monday. The Artro will introduce current issues involving Korean contemporary art and provide information about exhibitions, artists, support information and interviews, in both Korean and English.
