Hükümet Japonya’nın Dokdo Teklifini Reddeden Bir Belge Gönderecek
Güney Kore hükümeti, Tokyo’nun Dokdo adacıkları sorununu Uluslararası Adalet Divanı’na (UAD) taşıma önerisini reddetti. Hükümetin bu hafta Japonya’ya diplomatik bir belge göndermesi bekleniyor.
Bir hükümet yetkilisi: ”Japonya’nın teklifinde ısrar edip etmediğini gözlemledikten sonra, Güney Kore diplomatik kanal aracılığıyla bu hafta başında bir “sözlü nota” gönderecek.”
İmzasız olan ama sözlü istekten daha resmi olan belgede, Seoul’ün Dokdo’nun açıkça Kore toprağı olduğunu ifade etmesi ve hiçbir toprak anlaşmazlığı olmadığını belirtmesi bekleniyor.
Devlet Başkanı Lee Myung-bak’ın Dokdo adacıklarına yaptığı son ziyaretine tepki olarak Tokyo geçtiğimiz salı günü, iki tarafın BM mahkemesine Dokdo sorununu taşımasını öneren bir sözlü nota göndermişti.

The South Korean government is expected to send a diplomatic document to Japan this week, rejecting Tokyo’s proposal to take the Dokdo islets’ issue to the International Court of Justice(ICJ).
A government official says that after observing if Japan follows up on its proposal, South Korea will send a “note verbale” early this week via a diplomatic channel.
In the document, which is more formal than a verbal request but still unsigned, Seoul is expected to state that Dokdo is clearly Korean territory and no territorial dispute exists.
In protest of President Lee Myung-bak’s recent visit to the Dokdo islets, Tokyo sent a note verbale to Seoul last Tuesday, proposing the two sides refer the Dokdo issue to the U.N. court.
