KIWA bir MIWON (çoklu-etnik Göçmen İşçiler Birliği) üyesi kuruluşudur,Los Angeles bölgesinde dört (eskiden beşti) göçmen işçi merkezlerinin bir ittifakı ve ENLANCE işçi merkezlerinin ABD-Meksika ağıdır.
The Koreatown Immigrant Workers Alliance (KIWA, pronounced kee-wah), also known under its past nameKorean Immigrant Workers Advocates 남가주 한인 노동 상담소, is a multi-ethnic immigrant worker civil rights membership organization based in the Los Angeles Koreatown area.
KIWA was founded in 1992 by progressive minded Korean activists who saw class as the basic contradiction of the immigrant communities in Koreatown. It has since been involved in the aftermath of the 1992 Los Angeles Civil Unrest, campaigns to improve working conditions and immigrant worker empowerment in various Korean ethnic industries, the living wages campaign, and Koreatown's multi-ethnic community developments.
KIWA is perhaps best known recently for its long campaign against Assi Market, the largest ethnic Korean-owned supermarket of theUnited States, located in Koreatown. Started in the late 1990s, KIWA demands that Assi management rehire dozens of fired Latinoand Korean workers who were fired for trying to organize a trade union.
Although initially staffed mostly by ethnic Koreans, KIWA grew to encompass Asian-Pacific American and Latino organizers and members. The Spanish language "Alianza de trabajadores inmigrantes del Barrio Coreano" had been in common use since the early 2000s; however the English language name was officially changed in March 2006 from Korean Immigrant Workers Advocates toKoreatown Immigrant Workers Alliance. The Korean language "한인노동상담소" (Korean Worker's Center) has been changed to 한인타운 노동연대 to signify its geographical focus rather than on an ethnic group.
KIWA is a member organization of MIWON (Multi-Ethnic Immigrant Workers Alliance), an alliance of four (formerly five) immigrant workers' centers in the Los Angeles area, and ENLACE, a U.S.-Mexico network of workers' centers.

Once one of the world’s most isolated and impoverished countries, Korea became one of the most successful countries which has achieved surprising economic success through trade. Starting in the 1950’s as a marginal economy with only $50 million in trade, Korea's chief exports were squid, tungsten, and iron ore. Today, Korea is one of the world’s leading exporters of semiconductors, cell phones, automobiles, and ships, with a trade volume of over $1 trillion. Trade has been the driving force behind Korea's transformation from poverty to prosperity, and has propelled it to leadership in global organizations like the G20 that are directing the financial future of the world.

The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) has been a critical part of this transformation. Established in 1946, KITA is Korea's largest and most influential business association. With 71,000 members all engaged in trade with the wider world, KITA works to grow trade for all of its members. KITA provides two major services. At the micro level, KITA works to reduce or eliminate trade barriers by providing on-site support for our members.

At the macro level, KITA practices advocacy for free trade throughout the world, and supports the conclusion of FTAs with Korea's trading partners.

Today KITA continues to strive for the further development of trade networks between Korea and the world. As always, we pledge to do our best to serve both our members and trading partners in the global community.

Thank you.
The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, or MOMAF, was a cabinet-level division of the government of South Korea. It oversees a variety of government offices, including the marine police. Various divisions of the ministry are concerned with the nation's ports, its maritime shipping, its fisheries, and its marine environmental policies.

MOMAF was established as part of a general cabinet reorganization in 1996. For the preceding 35 years, maritime functions had been divided among various departments. From 1955 to 1961, under the First Republic of South Korea, a Ministry of Marine Affairs existed, and the current ministry traces its origin to that body. In 2008, merging Ministry of Construction and Transportation and MOMAF, Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs is established.

1970'teki kuruluşundan beri Kore Enerji Araştırma Enstitüsü (KIER), günün gereksinimlerini karşılamak için 1980'li yıllarda enerji güvenliği ve yerli kaynakların verimli bir şekilde kullanımı; 1990'lı yıllarda enerji kullanımında yüksek verimlilik ve kaynakların istikrarlı kullanımı; 2000'li yıllarda iklim değişikliği ve enerji-çevre teknolojileri; 2010'lu yıllarda düşük karbon, yeşil büyüme ve yeni büyüme teknolojileri gibi farklı AR-GE misyonlarına sahiptir.

Yüksek verimlilikteki enerji teknolojisi ve yeni enerji kaynakları, birincil enerji tüketimini ithal ederek enerjide büyük ölçüde yabancılara bağlı olan Kore'nin gelecekteki büyümesinin anahtarıdır. Kuruluşundan beri ülke için misyonlar ortaya koyan KIER, nükleer enerjinin dışında geniş kapsamlı enerji teknolojileri üzerinde odaklanmıştır. Şimdi bizler, sürdürülebilir enerjiyi oluşturmak için farklı enerji teknolojilerinin birbirlerine yaklaştığına inanıyoruz.
President of KIER, Whang Jooho

Since the founding in 1977, the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) has had different R&D missions to meet the challenges of the time: energy security and efficient use of domestic resources in the 1980's; stable supplyof energy and high efficiency in energy use in the 1990's; climate change and energy-environmental technologies in the 2000's; low-carbon, green growth and new growth engine technologies in the 2010's.

Energy technology for high efficiency and new energy sources are the keys to the future growth for Korea, which heavily depends on foreign energy resources by importing most of its primary energy consumption. Recognizing its missions for the country from the beginning, the KIER has focused on comprehensive energy technologies except nuclear power. Now we believe
it is time to converge diverse energy technologies to create a sustainable energy future.

The Korean administration set goals to provide 11% of the national energy consumption with renewable energy by 2030 in its national energy master plan and to reduce the CO2 emissions by 30% from BAU emissions by 2020 in order to meet the challenges of climate changes. The KIER takes the heavy responsibility to provide advanced energy technologies to realize these goals in good earnest.

The KIER, a global energy innovator, does its best in pursuing its mission to invent world-class energy technologies based on open innovation, life-cycle research quality assurance, participatory and open communication. Therefore the KIER will become the best energy technology R&D institute in the world, contributing to the creation of wealth and improvement of quality of life for the people.

The President

The President of the Republic of Korea, elected by a nationwide, popular vote, stands at the apex of the executive branch.
The President serves a single five-year term, with no additional terms being allowed. This single-term provision is a safeguard for preventing any individual from holding the reins of government power for a protracted period of time. In the event of presidential disability or death, the Prime Minister or members of the Cabinet will temporarily serve as the President as determined by law.
Under the current political system, the President plays five major roles. First, the President is head of state, symbolizing and representing the entire nation both in the governmental system and in foreign relations. He receives foreign diplomats, awards decorations and other honors, and grants pardons. He has the duty to safeguard the independence, territorial integrity, and continuity of the state and to uphold the Constitution, in addition to the unique task of pursuing the peaceful reunification of Korea.
Second, the President is the chief administrator and thus enforces the laws passed by the legislature while issuing orders and decrees for the enforcement of laws. The President has full power to direct the Cabinet and a varying number of advisory organs and executive agencies. He is authorized to appoint public officials, including the Prime Minister and heads of executive agencies.
Third, the President is commander-in-chief of the armed forces. He has extensive authority over military policy, including the power to declare war.
Fourth, the President is the nation's top diplomat and foreign policy maker. He accredits or dispatches diplomatic envoys, and signs treaties with foreign nations.
Finally, the President is chief policy maker and a key lawmaker. He may propose legislative bills to the National Assembly or express his views to the legislature in person or in writing. The President cannot dissolve the National Assembly, but the Assembly can hold the President ultimately accountable to the Constitution by means of an impeachment process.

Cabinet

Under Korea's presidential system, the President performs his executive functions through a Cabinet made up of 15 to 30 members and presided over by the President, who is solely responsible for deciding all important government policies. The Prime Minister is appointed by the President and approved by the National Assembly. As the principal executive assistant to the President, the Prime Minister supervises the administrative ministries and manages the Office for Government Policy Coordination under the direction of the President. The Prime Minister also has the power to deliberate major national policies and to attend the meetings of the National Assembly.
Members of the Cabinet are appointed by the President upon recommendation by the Prime Minister. They have the right to lead and supervise their administrative ministries, deliberate major state affairs, act on behalf of the President and appear at the National Assembly and express their opinions.

Members of the Cabinet are collectively and individually accountable to the President only.
In addition to the Cabinet, the President has several agencies under his direct control to formulate and carry out national policies: the Board of Audit and Inspection of Korea, the National Intelligence Service, and the Korea Communications Commission. The heads of these organizations are appointed by the President, but the presidential appointment of the Chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection is subject to the approval of the National Assembly. Much like the organizational structure of today, MOLEG was consigned under the Prime Minister who was able to attend and speak at any meeting of the State Council.
The Geom-sang-jo-rye-sa which played the role as MOLEG during the Joseon Dynasty In the early era of Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), the Geom-sang-jo-rye-sa under Eui-jeong-bu was in charge of government legislative affairs. Before the decree of the king was presented to the Eui-jeong-bu, the decree had to go under close examination by the predecessor body of the present Ministry of Government Legislation.
