Yeongman University, Güney Kore’de Seul’un dışında bulunan en büyük üniversitelerden biridir. Üniversitenin ataları, Taegu ve Chunggu Yüksekokulları, Daegu'da sırasıyla 1947 ve 1950’de kurulmuşlardır. 1967’de bu iki yüksekokul Başkan Park Chung-hee tarafından birleştirilerek doktora veren Yeongnam University kuruldu. 1972’de üniversitenin yeni ana kampüsü Daegu’nun doğusunda Gyeongsan’da açıldı. Üniversitede Hukuk ve Tıp fakültesi ve bir de üniversite hastanesi mevcut.

Kampüs:
Yeongnam’ın iki kampüsü var, Gyeongsan ana kampus ve diğer kampus de Daegu kampüsü. Kore Yarımadasının güneydoğusunda bulunan Gyeongsan şehri Daegu’ya -Kore’nin üçüncü en büyük şehri- bitişiktir ve trenle Seul’e, Kore’nin başkentine, bir buçuk saatlik mesafededir. Busan’a da -Kore’nin ikinci en büyük şehri- bir saatlik mesafede bulunmaktadır.
Yeungnam Üniversitesi’nin 22.000 öğrencisi, 3.500 mezunu ve 1.000 fakülte görevlisi ve personeli, güzel tesisleri ve akademik organizasyonları bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca 3.6 km2'lik kampüste, Uluslararası Programlar merkezi, yabancı dil enstitüsü ve 38 akademik araştırma enstitüsü de dahil olmak üzere, 11 yardımcı organizasyon bulunmaktadır.

Yeungnam University is one of the largest universities in South Korea outside of Seoul. The university's predecessors, Taegu College and Chunggu College, were founded in Daegu in 1947 and 1950 respectively. In 1967, the two colleges merged by President Park Chung-hee to form the degree-granting Yeungnam University. In 1972, the university's new main campus opened in Gyeongsan east of Daegu. The university includes colleges of Law and Medicine and a teaching hospital.

Campus:
Yeungnam University has two campuses, Gyeongsan is the main campus and other is Daegu campus. Located in the city of Gyeongsan in the south-eastern part of the Korean Peninsula, the city is adjacent to the Daegu metropolis, the third largest city in Korea, and it takes one and a half hours from Seoul, Capital of Korea by train, and one hour from Busan, the 2nd largest city in Korea.
Yeungnam University has 22,000 undergraduate students, 3,500 graduate students, and 1,000 faculty members and staff with fine facilities and academic organizations. There are also 11 auxiliary organizations, including the Center for International Programs, the Foreign Language Institute, and 38 academic research institutes on the scenic 900-acre (3.6 km2) campus.
