Yeongjin köyü,somon balığının geldiği ve gümüş balığının çokça yakalandığı Yeongokcheon’un aşağısının kuzeyinde bulunmaktadır. Denizi gözetmek (korumak) anlamına da gelmektedir.
Büyük Avlanma Festivali, 3 yılda bir düzenlenir. Ay takvimine göre Nisan ayının bir günü festival için seçilir.
Sogeumgang’dan akan derenin olduğu ve Jingogye sıra dağlarının denizle buluştuğu yer Yeongjin-ri’dir.
Yeongok Plajı’nın, derenin sonunda bulunması ve Yeongjin Plaji’nın limanla sağ tarafta bulunmasından ötürü, çoğu ziyaretçi buraya tatil sezonunda gelmektedir.
Civarda bulunan liman, karadan 2 ila 5 km; Denizden ise 2 km uzaklıkta bulunan Jumunjin limanıdır. Limanın 1 km batısında bulunan tepecikte, ortaya çıkarılmış ve kültürel varlık olarak belirtilmiş eski bir mezar bulunmaktadır ve bu nedenle de burası, tarihi bir gezi için hoş bir yerdir.

Location:Yeongjin-ri Yeongok-myeon Gangneung
Yeongjin village is in the north of the lower Yeongokcheon where salmon return and silver fish are caught a lot. It also means to take care of the sea.
The Large Catch Festival is held once in three years. A day of April of the lunar calendar is selected for the festival.
The place where the creek flowing down from Sogeumgang and the ridge of Jingogye meets the sea is Yeongjin-ri.
As Yeongok Beach is at the end of the creek, and Beach Yeongjin is right beside the port, many visitors come here in the vacation season.
The port in the neighborhood is Jumunjin Port 2 to 5km away in the land and 2km away in the sea. In the hillock 1km west of the port, an ancient tomb was dug up and designated as a cultural asset so that it is a nice place for history trip.
