Siddetli Yagmurda Iki Kisi Kayboldu

Persembe günü iç kesimlerde baslayan mevsimsel yagisin etkisiyle Kuzey Chungcheong Eyaleti'ndeki Jecheon'da ve Kuzey Gyeongsang Eyaleti'ndeki Sangju'da kaybolan iki kisinin arama çalismalari polis tarafindan devam ediyor.

Kuzey Chungcheong Eyaleti'nin acil servis yetkilileri 4,8 kilometrekareye 290 ml yagisin düstügü Kuzey Chungcheong'u sel bastigini bildirdi.

Kuzey Chungcheong Eyaleti'ndeki Boeun ve Jincheon'da onlarca sera sular altinda kaldi. Yagmur, Danyang’ta toprak kaymasina ve yollarin çamur içinde kalmasina neden oldu.

Kuzey Gyeongsang Eyaleti'nin sekiz bölgesinde yagmur sonucu olustugu bilinen yaklasik 30 farkli hasar bulunmakta.

2 People Missing in Heavy Rain

The seasonal downpour that began Thursday in the central inlands continues to inflict damage on the region, as police continue their search for two missing people in Sangju, North Gyeongsang Province and Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province.

The emergency management authorities in South Chungcheong Province say as much as 290 millimeters of rain fell in South Chungcheong and that four-point-eight square kilometers of farmland have been inundated.

Dozens of greenhouses are also flooded in Boeun and Jincheon counties in North Chungcheong Province. In Danyang, the rain has caused rockslides and mudslides on several roads.

Some 30 cases of rain-related damages have been reported in eight cities and counties in North Gyeongsang Province.

Typhoon Meari expected to hit S. Korea on Sunday

Tayfun Maeri’nin Pazar günü Güney Kore’yi vurmasi bekleniyor

Güney Kore, Vietnam ve diger Güneydogu Asya ülkelerinde agir kayiplara neden olduktan sonra hizla kendisine dogru gelen güçlü bir tayfun için alarma geçti.

Kore Meteoroloji Idaresi (KMA), Ingilizce’de yanki anlamina gelen Maeri adli tayfunun cumartesi sabahi itibariyle Tayvan’in 240 kilometre kuzeydogusundaki sulardan saatte 20 kilometre hizla Kore Yarimadasi’na dogru geldigini açikladi.

Bu arada, Seoul Büyüksehir Hükümeti, tayfun nedeniyle mülkiyet ve diger zararlarla basa çikmak için bir afet merkezinin kurulacagini söyledi.

Typhoon Meari expected to hit S. Korea on Sunday

South Korea was on alert Saturday as a powerful typhoon was moving fast toward it after causing heavy casualties in Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.

The typhoon, dubbed Meari, a Korean word which means "echo" in English, was traveling toward the Korean Peninsula at a speed of roughly 20 kilometers per hour from waters 240 kilometers northeast of Taiwan as of Saturday morning, the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said.

Meanwhile, the Seoul Metropolitan Government said it has set up a disaster control center to deal with property and other damages expected to be caused by the typhoon.

Bati kiyisina kuzeyden çarpan, ülkenin birçok yerinde etkili olan Meari Tayfunu için uyarilar ve öneriler verilmisti.

Güney Gyeongsang, Chungcheong, Gyeong Eyaleti ve Seoul için tayfun uyarilari verildikten sonra Jolla Eyaleti ve Jeju için tayfun uyarilari verildi.

Meteoroloji Jeju Adasi ve Jeolla ve Güney Gyeongsang Eyaletlerinin kiyi bölgeleri için tsunami uyarilari da verdi.

Warnings and advisories have been issued for many parts of the nation as Typhoon Meari hit the west coast heading north.

Typhoon advisories have been issued for South Gyeongsang, Chungcheong, Gyeongi provinces and Seoul, while typhoon warnings have been issued for the two Jolla provinces and Jeju.

The weather agency even issued tsunami warnings for Jeju Island and coastal regions of Jeolla and South Gyeongsang Provinces.

Sehrin, Seviye 2 kurtarma çalismalari için yaklasik 20 bin personeli bulunuyor.Felaket kontrol merkezi,felaketlerin yol açtigi yoksulluk ve diger hasarlarla bas etmek için dogal afet sirasinda sel altinda kalmasi muhtemel 22.000 hanenin bagli olacagi bir acil hat iletisim agi kurmaya hazirlaniyor.

Seoul Launches Emergency Operations on Typhoon

Seoul City’s disaster safety relief team has launched emergency operations with a typhoon advisory in effect.

The city has mobilized about 20-thousand public servants for the Level Two emergency operations. The disaster control center is preparing to deal with property and other damage by establishing a network of emergency contacts with about 22-thousand households vulnerable to flooding.
