Eleven Coastal Ports to be Designated as National Ports

11 Kıyı Limanı Ulusal Liman Olarak Belirlendi

Baeknyeong ve Yeonpyeong Adaları gibi kıyı bölgeleri boyunca tespit edilen 11 liman ulusal liman olarak atanacak ve devlet yönetimine bağlanacak.

Bu 11 liman Baeknyeong Adasındaki Yonggi-po, Yeonpyeong Adasının batı kıyı boyunu, Jeju Adasındaki Hwasoon limanını ve Ulleung Adasındaki Sadong limanını kapsıyor.

Atanan limanlar olası tehlike anlarında gemilerin tahliyesine izin verecek şekilde geliştirilecek.

Temel tesisler yakın bölgelere kurulacak ve liman çalışmalarındaki görevlilerin geçimini desteklemek için bir takım yeni standartlar başlatılacak.

Limanların gelişmesiyle, uzak adalara ulaşım daha kolay olacak. Kara, Ulaştırma ve Denizcilik Bakanı yeni limanların, bölge sakinlerinin hayat standartları geliştireceğini ve turizmi artıracağını söyledi.

Eleven ports located along coastal areas, such as Baeknyeong and Yeonpyeong Islands, will be designated as national ports and be subject to the government’s management.

The eleven ports include Yonggi-po at Baeknyeong Island and Yeonpyeong Island along the Western coast, Hwasoon port in Jeju Island and Sadong port in Ulleung Island.

The designated ports will be developed with the main goal of allowing for the evacuation of ships during contingencies.

Basic facilities will be established at nearby areas, while a new set of standards will be introduced to support the livelihoods of workers in charge of port operations. 

Once the ports are developed, remote islands will be more accessible. The Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs says the new ports will improve living standards of residents and boost tourism in the region.

Construction of New Bullet Train Railroad Starts

Yeni Hızlı Tren Demir Yolu İnşaatı Başladı

Başkan Lee Myung-bak (sağdan altıncı), 1 Haziranda Gangwon bölgesinin iki taşra kenti olan Wonju ve Gangneung arasında yapılacak olan hızlı-tren demir yolunun temel atma törenine katıldı. Projenin, Gangwon bölgesinin dağlık kenti PyeongChang 2018 Kış Olimpiyatlarına ev sahipliği yapmadan bir yıl önce, 2017'de bitirilmesi planlanıyor.
