Rainfall, Strong Winds in South Korea on Saturday

Cumartesi Günü Güney Kore'yi Saganak Yagis ve Sert Rüzgar Vurdu

Jeju Adasi'ndaki bazi bölgeler, güney ve güneydogu kiyilari 100 milimetreden fazla yagis görürken, gün boyunca 30 ile 80 milimetre arasinda yagmur yagacak.

Kore Meteoroloji Idaresi, iç kesimlerde siddetli rüzgar olurken, kiyi bölgelerde ise saniyede 20 metre hizdaki güçlü rüzgarlarin görülecegini söyledi.

Pazar günü ögleden önce ülkenin güney kesimlerinde yagmur bekleniyor, fakat ülkenin merkez kesimleri pazar günü ögle civarinda hafif yagis görecek.

Ögleden sonraki yükselislerin Seoul'de 13 santigrat derece ile, 10 ve 17 derece arasinda degismesiyle, ülke çapinda sicakliklar düsecek.

Okyanus dalgalari da Kore Yarimadasi çevresindeki tüm sularda iki ile alti metre arasinda olacak.

South Korea will be subject to nationwide rainfall accompanied by strong winds.

Thirty to 80 millimeters of rain will fall throughout the day, while some regions in Jeju Island, the southern coast and the southeastern coast will see more than 100 millimeters of rain.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said strong winds with speeds of up to 20 meters per second will blow in coastal areas, while blasts of wind will also be occurring in inland areas.

Rain in the southern area of the country is expected to cease before noon on Sunday, but the central area of the nation will see weak rainfall into Sunday afternoon.

Temperatures will drop throughout the nation, with afternoon highs ranging from ten to 17 degrees with Seoul at 13 degrees Celsius.

Ocean waves will also measure two to six meters in all waters surrounding the Korean Peninsula.

Jeju Island Sees Damage from Heavy Showers

Jeju Adasi cumartesi günü, ada boyunca tahribat ve zararla sonuçlanan rekor yagis miktariyla zarar gördü.

Seongsan 110 ve Jeju Sehri 91 milimetre yagis görürken, Halla Dagi'ndaki en yüksek 3 tepe 614 milimetre yagisa maruz kaldi.

Seogwipo 235 milimetre toplanan yagisla, daha önceki yillarin ayni dönemleriyle karsilastirilirsa 51 yilin en yüksek miktarini gördü.

Adadaki yollarda mahsur kalan 9 arabayi su basti ve 39 kisi güvenlik personeli tarafindan tahliyeye zorlandi.

Su basan, yuvarlanan kayadan zarar gören binalar, sel ve güçlü rüzgardan zarar gören mülklerden 12 kaza bildirildi.

Teknelerde ve adadaki bütün yolcular durduruldugu ve yaklasik 1000 turistin yolda kaldigiyla ilgili deniz uyarisi açiklandi.

Ama, Jeju Adasi için olan tüm yagmur ve rüzgar uyarilari gece kaldirildi.

A record-breaking amount of rainfall pounded Jeju Island on Saturday, resulting in havoc and damage throughout the island.

The highest three peaks on Halla Mountain were subjected to 614 millimeters of rain, while Seongsan saw 110 millimeters and Jeju City 91 millimeters.

Seogwipo experienced 235 millimeters of accumulated rainfall, its highest amount in 51 years compared to the same monthly period of previous years.

Roads on the island flooded leaving nine cars stranded and forcing the evacuation of 39 people by security personnel.

Twelve accidents were reported in which buildings were flooded, boulders tumbled and properties where damaged due to flooding or strong winds.

A heavy sea alert was announced, halting all passenger vessels to and from the island, leaving roughly one-thousand tourists stranded.

On the other hand, all rain and wind warnings for Jeju Island were lifted overnight.

Early Heat Wave Hits Nation

Erken Sicak Hava Dalgasi Ülkeyi Sardi

Merkez bölgelerde sicaklik 30 C'yi geçtiginden Güney Kore pazartesi günü olagandisi yüksek bahar sicakliklari gördü.

Sicakliklar; Gyeonggi Eyaleti, Paju'da 31.6 C, Gangwon, Hongcheon'da 30.3 C, Seoul'de 29.4 C ve Güney Chungcheong Eyaleti, Boryeong'da 27.9 C'ye yükseldi.

Kore Meteoroloji Idaresi, açik hava ve güneyden gelen sicak hava sebebiyle sicakliklarin mevsim ortalamasinin 10 C üstünde oldugunu açikladi.

Sicakliklar sali gününe kadar 25 C'nin üzerinde kalacak fakat çarsamba günü yagmur bekleniyor.

South Korea saw unusually high spring temperatures on Monday as the mercury topped 30 degrees Celsius in the central regions.

Temperatures rose to 31-point-six degrees Celsius in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, 30-point-three degrees Celsius in Hongcheon, Gangwon, 29-point-four degrees in Seoul and 27-point-nine degrees in Boryeong, South Chungcheong Province.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said due to clear skies and a warm air front from the south, the temperatures were ten degrees higher than the seasonal average.

Temperatures will remain above 25 degree Celsius through Tuesday but fall on Wednesday as rain is in the forecast.

Jeju Air to Fly to Qingdao, China

Jeju Air Qingdao Çin'e Uçacak

Güney Koreli ekonomik bir havayolu Qingdao, Çin'e uçus baslatacak.

Jeju Air, bu ayin sonunda Incheon ve Çin'in dogu sehri arasinda uçuslarin baslayacagini söyledi. Her hafta iki sehri birbirine baglayan yedi uçus olacak.

Jeju Air, Güney Kore ve Çin arasinda 1994'de hava güzergahi açilmasindan ve 2006 yilinda iki yönlü hava tasimaciligi hizmetinin kademeli serbestlestirilmesi konusundaki anlasmaya varilmasindan beri ilk kez Incheon ve Quingdao arasinda uçuslari baslatan ilk Güney Koreli ekonomik havayolu sirketi.

2008'de uluslararasi uçuslara baslamasindan beri, havayolu da ilk kez Çin anakarasina uçacak.

Jeju Air, Çin pazarina giris için Incheon-Qingdao hattinin baslamasini adim olarak kullanmayi planliyor.

A South Korean budget airline will launch flights to Qingdao, China.

Jeju Air said that it will begin flying between Incheon and the eastern Chinese city late this month. It will operate seven flights linking the two cities every week.

Jeju Air is the first South Korean budget airline company to run flights between Incheon and Qingdao since South Korea and China opened an air route in 1994 and reached an agreement on the gradual liberalization of two-way air transport services in 2006.

The budget airline will also fly a route to mainland China for the first time since it began operating international flights in 2008.

Jeju Air is planning to use the launch of the Incheon-Qingdao service as a stepping stone for its entry into the Chinese airline market.
