KCC, Seoul to Launch Efforts to Prepare for Digital Broadcasting

KCC, Seoul'de Dijital Yayin Için Hazirlik Çalismalari Baslatti.

Kore Iletisim Komisyonu (KCC) ve Seoul sehri yetkilileri önümüzdeki yil sonunda dijital yayinciligin baslatilmasi için hazirliklar yapiyor.

KCC ve sehir yetkilileri cuma günü, sehirde sistem degisikligi saglayacak ortak projeye önümüzdeki ay baslanmasi için ortaklasa mutabakat anlasmasi imzaladilar.

Anlasmaya göre, Seoul'deki dar gelirli aileler, körler ve isitme engelli yaslilara ücretsiz dönüstürücüler verilecek ya da önümüzdeki aydan itibaren dijital televizyonlari 59 bin Won'a alabilecekler.

Analog televizyon 31 Aralik 2012 tarihinde kapatilacak.

The Korea Communications Commission (KCC) and Seoul City are making preparations for the launch of digital broadcasting at the end of next year.

The KCC and the city on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on a joint project to begin next month that will facilitate the switchover in the city.

Under the agreement, low-income households, the blind and seniors with hearing problems in Seoul will be given free converters, or they can purchase a digital television for 59-thousand won starting next month.

Analog television will be switched off on December 31st, 2012.

Korean Air Jumbo Jet A380'i Hizmete Açiyor

Gelecek nesil Airbus A380 yolcu uçagi, Güney Kore'deki ilk seferini yapti.

Korean Air, devasa jet A380'nin cuma sabahi Uluslararasi Incheon Havalimani'ndan Tokyo'ya hareket ettigini söyledi.

Korean Air, A380'i hizmete sokan dünyadaki alti hava yolundan biri. 2014'te bu devasa jetten 10 adet çalistirilmasi planlaniyor.

Korean Air Puts A380 Jumbo Jet into Service

The next-generation Airbus A380 passenger aircraft has made its maiden flight out of South Korea.

Korean Air says the superjumbo jet flew out of Incheon International Airport on Friday morning headed to Tokyo.

Korean Air is only the sixth airline in the world to operate the A380. It plans to commission 10 of the jets by 2014.

Samsung Electronics Co. ABD'den Intel Co. ve Japonya'dan Toshiba Co. ile yeni nesil yariiletken teknolojisi gelistirmek için ortak bir projeye girdiklerini açikladi.

Üç firma, on nanometreden daha ince devrelere sahip olan bilgisayar bellek kartlari yaparak yariiletkenlerin kapasitesini arttirmayi hedefliyor. Posta pulu ebatindaki kartlar 3 kat daha fazla veri depolayabilecek.

Samsung to Develop Next-Generation Semiconductors with Toshiba, Intel

Samsung Electronics has launched a joint project to develop technology for next-generation semiconductors with Japan’s Toshiba Corporation and U.S.’s Intel Corporation.

The three firms are aiming to boost the capacity of semiconductors by making computer memory chips that have circuits thinner than ten nanometers. The postage stamp-sized chips will be able to store three times as much data.

Güney Kore mobil telefon piyasasina henüz yeni giris yapmis Eyesvision Sirketi, önümüzdeki ay ülke genelinde kiralik sebeke araciligiyla bir kontörlü hazir hat hizmeti baslatmayi planladigini duyurdu.

Yurtdisi ile yapilan görüsmeler için hazir kart üreten Eyesvision, SK Telekom Sirketi'nin en iyi mobil sebekesini kiralama konusunda uzlasmaya varildigini açikladi.

Prepaid mobile service to debut in S. Korea next month

Eyesvision Co., a new entrant to the South Korean mobile phone market, said that it plans to launch prepaid service through a leased network in the country next month.

Eyesvision, which sells prepaid cards for international phone calls, said that it has agreed with SK Telecom Co. to lease the top mobile network.

SEOUL, Temmuz 4 (Yonhap) - Dünyanin ikinci büyük cep telefonu üreticisi olan Samsung Electronics, Pazartesi günü yetkililerin yaptigi açiklamada, Endonezya’da son nesil Galaxy Tab tablet bilgisayarin beklenenden önce piyasaya sürüldügü belirtildi.

Son Android sistemi üzerinde çalisan ve önceki modelinden daha büyük ve selefinden daha ince olan Galaxy Tab 10.1, geçen hafta ilk yedi saat içinde satildigini Samsung yetkilisi yaptigi açiklamada dile getirdi. Sirket ilk gün için 1.200 adet hazirlamisti.

Sirket, pazari sarsan daha iyi model bir iPad ile endüstri lideri Apple Inc ile rekabet için 10.1-inç tablet dahil olmak üzere bu yil farkli boyutlarda yeni bir tablet bilgisayar piyasaya sürdü.

Samsung yetkilileri, baslangiçta üretilen Galaxy Tab’in popülaritesini artirmada yardimci oldugunu ve Güneydogu Asya ülkesinde yedi inç Galaxy Tab ile PC pazarinin yüzde 65'ini ele geçirdiklerini açikladilar.

Samsung launches Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Indonesia:

SEOUL, July 4 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Electronics Co., the world's second-largest mobile phone maker, said Monday that it has launched the latest generation of its Galaxy Tab tablet computer in Indonesia, where it received a better-than-expected market response.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1, which runs on the latest Android system and is bigger and thinner than its predecessor, was sold out within seven hours of its debut last week, Samsung said in a statement. The company prepared 1,200 units on the first day.

The company released new tablet computers in different sizes this year, including the 10.1-inch tablet, to better compete with the industry leader Apple Inc., which rocked the market with the iPad.

Samsung said that its initial sell-out of the new Galaxy Tab was helped by the popularity of its earlier, seven-inch Galaxy Tab, which accounts for 65 percent of the tablet PC market in the Southeast Asian country.

Subway Electric Networks to be Used for Recharging Electric Cars

Metro Elektrik Sebekeleri Elektrikli Otomobil Sarji Için Kullanilacak

Pil sarji istasyonu olarak kullanilan metro elektrik sebekesi Seoul’de sehir çapinda insa edilecek.

Baskentin metro hatlarini çalistiran Seoul Metro, metro elektrik sebekelerinde elektrikli arabalar için sarj baglantili tesisler insa edeceklerini duyurdu. Sali günü Suseo metro istasyonunun yakinindaki bir otoparkta tanitim yapilacak.

Sistem sürücülere 25 dakikada sarj imkâni saglayacak.

Battery charging stations utilizing the subway's electricity grid will be built citywide in Seoul for electric cars.

Seoul Metro, which operates subway lines in the capital city, announced that it will build charging facilities connected to the subway’s electricity networks to recharge electric cars. A demonstration will be held in a parking lot near Suseo subway station on Tuesday.

The system will allow drivers to recharge their cars within 25 minutes.

Gov't to Build Basic Science Institute by 2015

Hükümet 2015 Yilinda Temel Bilimler Enstitüsü Kuracak

Hükümet 2015 yilina kadar Ulusal Temel Bilimler Enstitüsü insa etmeyi planliyor ve kasim ya da aralik ayinda enstitüsünün baskani bu yil atanacak.

Enstitü, uluslararasi bilim isletmelerin projelerinde Güney Chungcheong Eyaleti’ndeki Daejeon’da yer alan önemli bir tesis olacak.

Projenin baskani çarsamba günü, hükümetin bir site alacagini ve 2014 yilinin ilk yarisinda, 2015 yilinin sonuna kadar enstitü binasi insaatinin tamamlanmasi hedefi ile insaatina baslayacagini açikladi.

The government plans to build the National Basic Science Institute by 2015 and appoint the institute's head around November or December this year.

The institute is the key facility in an international science-business belt project that will be located in Daejeon, South Chungcheong Province.

The head of the project said on Wednesday that the government will purchase a site and launch construction in the first half of 2014 with the aim to finish building the institute by the end of 2015.
