President Park to Leave for Vietnam State Visit

Devlet Başkanı Park Vietnam'a Devlet Ziyareti için Yola Çıktı

Devlet Başkanı Park Geun-hye cumartesi günü, Rusya'dan sonra onu ikinci durağı olan Vietnam için yola çıktı.

Pazar günü Park, geleneksel Kore ve Vietnam kıyafetlerinin yer aldığı bir defileye, daha sonra ise ikili ekonomik işbirliği konusunda bir akşam yemeği toplantısına katılacak.

Pazartesi günü, Vietnam Devlet Başkanı Truong Tan Sang ile bir zirve gerçekleştirecek ve stratejik işbirliği ortaklığını sağlamlaştırmanın yollarını görüşecekler. İki liderin zirveden sonra ortak bir bildiri açıklaması bekleniyor.

Ayrıca ortak çıkarları görüşmek için Vietnam'da çeşitli sektörlerin liderleri ile bir araya gelecek ve Ho Chi Minh City'de yaşayan 70 bin Güney Koreli ile konuşacak.

Vietnam ziyareti sırasında, Başkan Park'a 79 kişilik bugüne kadarki en büyük iş heyeti eşlik edecek.

President Park Geun-hye will head to Vietnam, her second destination after Russia, on Saturday.

On Sunday, she will attend a fashion show featuring traditional clothing of Korea and Vietnam and a dinner meeting on the subject of bilateral economic cooperation.

On Monday, she will hold a summit with Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang and discuss ways to solidify strategic cooperative partnership. The two leaders are expected to announce a joint statement after the summit.

She will also meet with leaders of various sectors in Vietnam to discuss shared interests and speak to some of the 70-thousand South Koreans living in Ho Chi Minh City.

During her visit to Vietnam, President Park will be accompanied by the largest ever business delegation of 79 members.

North Korea denounced South Korea Saturday for what it claimed was a suppression of "progressive forces" in the South, citing the recent arrest of a leftist opposition lawmaker accused of treason.

Rep. Lee Seok-ki of the minor opposition Unified Progressive Party was formally put under arrest on Thursday on suspicion of plotting to overthrow the government with other members of a secret organization with possible links to North Korea.

Apologizing for Radioactive Water Leak at Fukushima

Tokyo Elektrik Gücü Şirketi (TEPCO)'ndeki memurlar, 10 Eylül 2013'de Japonya'da bulunan Güney Kore Büyükelçiliği'ndeki basın toplantısı öncesinde başla selamlayarak Fukushima'daki radyoaktif sızıntı için özür diledi. Güney Kore'li muhabirlerle yapılan toplantı sırasında memurlar en önemli konu olan kontrol altındaki Fukushima reaktör santrallerinden gelen kirli su sızıntısını açıklığa kavuşturdu.
