Airport Customs Makes Record Knockoff Watch Bust

Havaalani Gümrügünde Rekor Sayida Korsan Saate Baskin

Incheon Havaalani Gümrügü, ülkeye yaklasik 22 bin korsan kol saati sokmaya çalisan 4 kisi yakaladiklarini söyledi.

Gümrük yetkilileri persembe günü, kaçak saatlerin gerçek ürün fiyatindan satildiginda yaklasik 20 milyar won kazandiracagini söyledi. Gümrük, bu olayin, el çantalari yoluyla kaçirilabilecek, havaalaninin gördügü en yüksek degerde oldugunu ekledi.

Kol saatleri boyut olarak küçük oldugundan ve Güney Kore'de gerçek fiyatindan 10 kat fazlasina satilabileceginden, sahte kol saati kaçakçiligi olaylari son zamanlarda artis gösterdi.

Gümrük yetkilileri geçen yil, 2010'dakinden 3 kat daha fazla olan, 90 milyar won degerinde kaçak kol saati yakalamisti.

Incheon Airport Customs says it caught four people attempting to smuggle roughly 22-hundred knockoff luxury watches into the nation.

Customs authorities said Thursday that the seized watches could have brought in some 20 billion won if sold at the price of the authentic product. Customs added this is the highest value the airport has seen of items that can be smuggled through hand luggage.

Cases of smuggling fake watches has increased lately as watches are small in size and since they can be sold more than ten times the original price in South Korea.

Customs officers seized fake watches valued at 90 billion won last year, or up three times from 2010.

Grand design center to be set up

Büyük Dizayn Merkezi Kurulacak

Resimde, Güney Kore'nin Guri sehri yönetiminin 2015 yilinin sonuna kadar insa etmeyi planladigi, geçici olarak Dünya Dizayn Merkezi olarak adlandirilan bir sanatkarin sunumunu görüyoruz. Sehir yönetimi, Seoul'un hemen dogusundaki sehri 10 trilyon won (8.83 milyar dolar) degerindeki merkez sayesinde "bir Asya dizayn merkezi" olarak gelistirmeyi amaçliyor.

Korean Air jet makes unscheduled landing at Japanese airport

Cumartesi günü yapilan açiklamada bayrak tasiyicisi, 241 yolcu tasiyan bir yolcu uçaginin, uçus ekibinin kabin içindeki garip kokunun nedenini kontrol etmeye karar vermesinin ardindan, Japon havaalanina plansiz inis yaptigini söyledi.

Kore Hava Yollari Sti., Japonya'nin kuzeyindeki Sapporo'dan kalkarak Cuma günü 13.55'de Incheon Uluslararasi Havaalani'na inecek olan genis gövdeli, çift motorlu A330 uçaginin, 30 dakika içinde Komatsu Havaalani'na dönmek zorunda kaldigini söyledi.

A passenger jet carrying 241 passengers made an unscheduled landing at Japanese airport after the flight crew decided to check the cause of a strange smell in the cabin, the flag carrier said Saturday.

Korean Air Lines Co. said the A330 wide-body, twin-engined airplane that left Sapporo in northern Japan for Incheon International Airport at 1:55 p.m. Friday had to divert to Komatsu Airport 30 minutes into the flight.

11 Million Packages to be Sent for Lunar Year Holidays

Ay Yili Tatili Için 11 Milyon Paket Gönderilecek

Kore Posta Servisi, Yeni Ay Yili için yaklasik 11 milyon paket gönderilmesini bekliyor.

Bilgi Ekonomisi Bakanligina bagli çalisan posta servisi, tüm postahanelerin pazartesiden 21 ocak gününe kadar olaganüstü halde çalisacagini söyledi.

Servis, düzenli olarak yollanan paketlerin de aralarinda bulundugu 11.6 milyon paketin ülke çapinda gönderilecegini söyledi.

Bu, geçen yilin ayni döneminde iletilen postaya göre 350 bin daha fazla.

Bu dönem boyunca günlük olarak maksimum 1.5 milyon paketin posta servisine teslim edilmesi bekleniyor ve bu, ortalama miktarin 3 katindan daha fazla.

The Korea Postal Service expects roughly 11-million packages to be delivered for the lunar New Year.

The post service which runs under the Ministry of Knowledge and Economy said all post offices will be running in emergency mode from Monday to Jan. 21.

The service also said a total of 11.6-million packages will be delivered nationwide including regular packages.

This is 350-thousand more than what was delivered last year during the same period.

A maximum of 1.5 million packages are expected to be handed over to the postal service daily during this period, which is more than three times the average amount.

A large-scale Korean shopping festival for foreign tourists began Monday and will continue for 52 days through the end of February.

Roughly 20-thousand shopping malls, hotels, large discount store chains and department stores across the nation will take part in the “Korea Grand Sale 2012,” which offers discounts ranging from ten to 50 percent to foreign tourists.

From opening day, the Visit Korea Committee will also hold a weeklong lottery event for foreign tourists who enter South Korea through Incheon International Airport. Prizes for lottery winners include free gifts like show tickets and hotel vouchers.
