Mobile carrier SK Telecom and Samsung Electronics have successfully introduced a next-generation mobile network that is twice as fast as the existing long-term evolution (LTE) technology.
The so-called LTE-Advanced network is a global first, launched in Korea.
The LTE-A service is available at no additional fee but users need to have a mobile device with a chip that supports the LTE-Advanced network.
