‘G. Kore 2045’te En Yaşlı İş Gücüne Sahip Olacak’
Yabancı bir yatırım bankası, Güney Kore iş gücü yaş ortalamasının, ülkenin hızla yavaşlayan nüfusundan dolayı 2045’te 50’ye ulaşacağını tahmin ediyor.
Birleşik Krallık’taki İskoçya Royal Bankası, nüfus yaşlanmasının Güney Kore ekonomisindeki etkileri üzerine bir rapor yayınladı. Raporda, Güney Kore’nin ekonomik olarak faal nüfusunun, 2020 yılına kadar Avrupa ve Japonya’nın azalma hızını geride bırakarak, 2016 yılında azalmaya başlayacağı tahmin ediliyor.
Raporda ayrıca, Kore iş gücünün yaş ortalamasının son zamanlarda ABD’yi geride bıraktığı ve 2020 yılına kadar Avrupa’yı aşması beklendiği söyleniyor.
2020 yılına kadar her yıl yaşlıları destekleme maliyeti %15 artacak ve yaşlıların sayısı 2039 yılında iş gücü nüfusunu aşacak.
Yaşlıları destekleme maliyeti, 15 ile 64 yaşları arasında ekonomik olarak aktif kişi sayısı ile 65 yaşını doldurmuş yaşlıların sayısına bölünmesiyle hesaplanıyor.

A foreign investment bank forecasts that the average age of South Korea’s labor force will reach 50 by the year 2045 due to the nation’s rapidly aging population.
The Royal Bank of Scotland in the UK released a report on the effects of population aging on the South Korean economy. The report forecasts that South Korea’s economically active population will begin to decrease from 2016 with the speed of decrease outpacing that of Europe and Japan by 2020.
The report also says the average age of the Korean labor force recently outpaced that of the U.S. and is projected to exceed Europe’s by 2020.
It said the cost of supporting the elderly will rise by 15 percentage points every year until 2020, and that the number of seniors will surpass that of the labor population by 2039.
The cost of supporting the elderly is calculated by dividing the number of seniors aged 65 or above with the number of economically active people aged between 15 and 64.
