Ülkenin 3000 olan bu yılki yabancı işgücü kotası, 2014 yılında 53.000’e kadar yükseltileceği belirtildi. Kota, sadece, profesyonel olmayan E-9 çalışma vizesi başvurusu için geçerli olacak.
Yetkililer, plana göre, ülkeye gelen yabancı işçinin 42.250 tanesinin, sıkıntının en çok olduğu imalat sektörüne atanacağını söyledi.
Diğer 6.000 kişinin balıkçılık sektörüne yerleştirileceği, kalan 2.300 işgücünün ise tarım ve hayvancılık sanayine verileceği bildirildi.
Çalışma Bakanı Phang Ha Nam yaptığı basın açıklamasında, “Hükümet hem ülkenin %70 olan istihdam oranını yükseltmek ve firmaların insan gücü sıkıntısını rahatlatmak hem de hedefini gerçekleştirmek için yabancı işçi kotasını artırma kararı aldı.” dedi.
53000 iznin 5600 tanesi, izin verilen süre kadar burada çalıştıktan sonra ülkesine dönen ve Güney Kore’ye yeniden girmek isteyenler için tahsis edildiği belirtildi.
The nation’s foreign workforce quota will be raised to 53,000 for 2014, up 3,000 from this year, they said. The quota is only for those applying for E-9 non-professional work visas.
Under the plan, 42,250 of the foreign workers coming into the country will be assigned to the manufacturing sector, which is suffering the most from shortage of laborers, officials said.
The other 6,000 will go into the agricultural and livestock industries, with the remaining 2,300 workforce to be put into the fishing industry, they said.
“The government decided to increase the quota of foreign workers after considering both its goal to raise the country’s employment rate to 70 percent and relieve the shortage of manpower at firms,” Labor Minister Phang Ha-nam said in a press release.
Of the 53,000 permits, some 5,600 are allotted to those who seek to re-enter South Korea who had returned home after working here for the permitted period of time, officials said.
