Devlet Başkanı Lee Myung-bak 5 Aralık 2012 günü Seoul’deki bir kongre merkezinde 49. Ticaret Gününün kutlandığı bir tören sırasında tebrik konuşması yaptı. Güney Kore üst üste ikinci kez 1 trilyon doları geçen ticaret hacmiyle bu yıl ticaret tarihinde ilk kez dünyanın 8. en büyük ticari gücü oldu.
