Eski Pazar, Chuseok Telaşına Büründü
Seoul’ün 394 kilometre güneydoğusundaki Jangheung şehrinde bulunan geleneksel bir sebze meyve pazarı 14 Eylül günü, hasat kaldırma festivali Chuseok için yiyecek alışverişine gelen müşterilerle doluydu. Koreliler üç gün süren kutlamalarda; iyi hasatın tadını çıkarırken atalarına saygı gösteriyorlar. Chuseok ay takvimine göre 8. ayın 15. gününe denk geliyor. Bu sene ise Chuseok tatili 18 Eylül’de başlıyor.

A traditional grocery store is crowded with customers who came to shop for foods ahead of the Chuseok holiday, or the national harvest festival, in Jangheung, a town 394 kilometers southwest of Seoul, on Sept. 14. Koreans enjoy good harvest during the three-day celebration and pay respect to their ancestors. It falls on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar. This year’s Chuseok holiday begins on Sept. 18.
