Yuk Young-soo, Güney Kore eski Devlet Başkanı Park Chung-hee'nin ikinci eşidir ve Güney Koreli bir politikacı olan Park Geun Hye'nin annesidir.
Biyografi
Yuk, 1925'te Güney Kore'de Chungcheongbuk-do, Okcheon ilçesinde doğdu. Baehwa Women's Lisesinden mezun oldukdan sonra 1950'de Yarbay Park Chung-hee ile evlendi. Bir oğlu ve iki kızları oldu.

Mun Segwang, Park'a suikast düzenlemişti. 15 Ağustos 1974'de Kore Bağımsızlık günü, saat 10: 00 'da Mun Segwang ve Yuk öldürüldü. Japonya doğumlu bir Kuzey Koreli sempatizanı tarafından. Mun, ilk atışında Park Chung-hee ıskalamıştı. İkinci atış denemesinde ise Park Jong-gyu onu engelledi ancak Yun öldürülmüştü. Sonra Mun'da öldürüldü.

Yuk Young-soo (Korean: 육영수) (November 29, 1925 – August 15, 1974) was the second wife of South Korean former president Park Chung-hee, and the mother of a Korean politician, Park Geun-hye.
Biography:
Yuk was born in Okcheon County, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea in 1925. After graduating Baehwa Women's High School, she married Park Chung Hee who was Lieutenant Colonel in the military in 1950. She gave birth to a son and two daughters with Park.
Assassination:
At 10 a.m. on the Korean Independence day, August 15, 1974, she was shot and killed by Mun Segwang, a Japanese-born North Korean sympathizer, while Mun attempted to assassinate Park. Mun's first shot at Park Chung-hee missed. The second shot, aimed at Park Jong-gyu who tried to kill Mun, missed and killed Yuk instead. Park Jong-gyu's shot ricocheted off a wall and killed a high school student, Jang Bong-hwa.
