Eskiden Guampo’da, rahipleri bile bağışta bulunmayan zengin biri yaşardı. Gelinini bile aç bırakırdı. Bir keşiş Buda adına bağış istemeye geldi. Zengin adam, keşişi lanetleyip kovdu, her zamanki gibi. Keşişin su kabağını bile kırdı. Duruma üzülen gelin, bebeğinin battaniyesini kullanıp gözle kaş arasında biraz pilav kaçırdı, keşişe verdi. Keşiş, ikramı kabul ederken:
“Birkaç gün sonra yağmur bastırıp gök gürlediğinde, köyün ön tarafındaki dağa çık. Büyük bir gürültü kopsa dahi asla geriye dönüp bakma.”
Gün gelince kadın, bebeğini sırtlanıp dağa tırmanmaya başladı. Ardında gök gürleyip şimşekler çakıyordu. Keşişin dediği gibi geriye dönüp bakmamaya çalıştı. Ancak kediyi merakı öldürür derler. Kadın ardına baktı. Olduğu yerde taşlaştı. Kaya, kadın ve sırtındaki bebeği şeklindedir. Oğlan çocuğu isteyen gelinlerin bu taşın önünde 3 hafta dua etmelerinin yararlı olacağını söylerler. Once in GUAMPO lived a rich man, who was so stingy that he turned monks away without donating anything. He even let his daughter-in-law go hungry at times.One day a monk came by to ask him to donate something for Buddha. He cursed him and drove him away, as usual. He even broke his offering gourd. His daughter-in-law, who felt sorry, sneaked a little bit of rice in her baby blanket and gave it to him. The monk, receiving her offering, said,
"A few days later when heavy rain starts with lightening and thunder, go up the mountain in front of the village. You should never look back however big sound there may be."
When the day came, she put her baby on her back and started to climb the mountain. Indeed, there was lightening and thunder behind her. She tried not to look back as the monk told her. But curiosity killed the cat. She looked back in spite of herself, and turned into a rock on the spot. The rock is in the shape of a woman looking back, with a baby on her back. They say that women who want a baby son could get a baby by praying in front of the rock for three weeks. You can still find the rock on GUAMSAN southeast of GANGRYEOEUP
