Synopsis
Chimpanzees are the closest primates to human beings, with a 98% match to DNA structure of humans. In Gombe National Park and Mahale National Park situated right by Lake Tanganyika (the second deepest body of water in the world), live wild chimpanzees. Gombe National Park is already well-renowned as the home of Jane Goodall, the Chimpanzee Mama, who studied these creatures for over 40 years. Mahale National Park, located 230km from Gombe, is also home to chimps to their wild instincts very much alive. This program, based on footage from chimpanzees that reside in Mahale National Park with supplementary footage from Gombe National Park, will give viewers a close look of the traits, behaviors and the organizational structures of wild chimpanzees.
