Two S. Korean golfers qualify for U.S. Open

Güney Koreli Iki Golfçü Amerika Açik Golf Turnuvasi'na Yükseldi

Güney Koreli iki genç golfçü yapilan elemelerle sezonun ikinci büyük sampiyonasi Amerika Açik Golf Turnuvasi'na yükseldi.

Noh Seung-yul Ohio’da Springfield’deki etkinlikte iki maçtan birini kazanarak 36 delikli elemeyi birincilikle bitirdi. Kang Sung-hoon da Tenessee Memphis’te yapilan 36 delikli elemeyi birincilikle bitirdi.

Noh Seung-yul earned one of two spots at a sectional event in Springfield, Ohio, finishing first after the 36-hole qualification. Kang Sung-hoon finished first in his 36-hole qualification in Memphis, Tennessee.

Güney Kore Dostluk Maçinda Gana’yi 2-1 Yendi

Güney Kore sali günü yapilan dostluk maçinda Gana’yi son dakikada attigi gol ile 2-1 maglup etti.

Seoul’ün yaklasik olarak 240 km güneyinde bulunan Jeonju Dünya Kupasi Stadyumu’nda 41,000 taraftarin önünde 1-1 beraberlikten sonra Koo Ja-cheol uzatma dakikasinda maçi kazandiran golü atti. Ji Dong-won’un yakin mesafeden kafa vurusu Gana’nin kalecisi Richard Kingston tarafindan engellendi. Fakat ikinci yarida oyuna giren Koo evindeki galibiyeti garantileyerek Gana’yi agir yenilgiye ugratti.

South Korea edged Ghana 2-1 in a football friendly match here Tuesday, thanks to a last-minute go-ahead goal.

With the score tied at 1-1 before more than 41,000 fans at Jeonju World Cup Stadium, about 240 kilometers south of Seoul, Koo Ja-cheol scored the winner in injury time. Ji Dong-won's header from close range was stopped by Ghana's diving keeper Richard Kingson, but Koo, who entered the game in the second half, hammered home the rebound to seal the victory.

Kitasal futbol yarismasinda Güney Kore’nin üç temsilcisi çeyrek finalde zorlu rakipleri ile berabere kaldi.

Asya Futbol Federasyonu (AFC) Sampiyonlar Ligi çeyrek finalinde, K-Ligi’nden FC Seoul iki kez sampiyon olan Suudi Arabistan takimi Al Ittihad ile berabere kaldi. Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors Japonya’dan Cerezo Osaka ile karsilasacak.

Three South Korean representatives at a continental club football competition have drawn tough opponents in the quarterfinals.

At the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League, FC Seoul of the K-League drew a two-time champion, Al Ittihad of Saudi Arabia, in the quarters. Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors will clash against Cerezo Osaka of Japan.

Gov't to strengthen penalty on sports match fixing

Hükümet Spordaki Sike Cezasini Arttiriyor

Üst düzey bir spor yetkilisinin sali günü yaptigi açiklamaya göre, yakin bir zamanda yapilan futbol maçindaki sike skandalina hükümetin tepkisinin bir parçasi olarak, sike yapan yerel spor liglerinin maçlari askiya alinacak ya da spor lotosundan çikarilacak.

Kültür, Spor ve Turizm Bakan Yardimcisi Park Sun-Kyoo, ulusal spor promosyonlarindaki yasa uygulama yönetmeliginin gözden geçirilecegini, böylece sike cezalarinin arasina maçlarin askiya alinmasi veya ülkenin lisansli tek spor lotosu Spor Toto oyunlarindan çikarilmasinin da dâhil edilecegini söyledi.

Local sports leagues marred by match fixing will have their games suspended or taken off the national sports lottery as part of the government's response to a recent football match fixing scandal, a senior sports official said Tuesday.

Park Sun-kyoo, vice minister of culture, sports and tourism, said the enforcement ordinance for the law on national sports promotion will be revised, so that punishments for match fixing will include suspension or removal of games from Sports Toto, which operates the only licensed sports lottery in the country.

Fenerbahçe Acibadem Bayan Voleybol Takimiminin yeni transferi Yeon Koung Kim, bugün düzenlenen törenle, kendisini Kulübe 2 yilligina baglayan resmi sözlesmeye imza atti.

Fenerbahçe Sükrü Saracoglu Stadi’nda düzenlenen imza törenine Fenerbahçe Acibadem Bayan Voleybol Takimiminin Menajeri Violet Duca'da katildi.

Imza töreninde Fenerbahçe Acibadem ilgili açiklamalarda bulunan ve transfer sürecini degerlendiren Yeon Koung Kim, Türkiye disinda baska ülke takimlarindan da teklif aldgini belirterek, ’’Ancak ben Fenerbahçe’yi istedim. Ze Roberto da beni taniyor ve tercihimi Fenerbahçe’den yana kullandim’’ dedi.

Türkiye’ye geldigi için çok mutlu oldugunu ifade eden Yeon Koung Kim, ’’Buraya gelmek istiyordum. Türkiye’nin en meshur voleybol takiminda oynayacak olmamdan dolayi kendimi çok sansli ve mutlu hissediyorum’’ diye konustu.

Eskiden beri Türkiye ile Güney Kore’nin kardes ülkeler oldugunu dile getiren Kim, ’’Böyle bir ülkede oynayacagimdan dolayi mutluyum. Çok kisa sürede buraya alisip, takima katkida bulunmak istiyorum’’ ifadesini kullandi.

Yeon Koung Kim içinse Violet Duca, "1988 dogumlu çok genç bir oyuncu. Son olimpiyatlarda en iyi skorer oyuncu seçildi. Çok özellikli bir oyuncu. Iyi bir smaçör ve defansi da iyi. Bu sene genç bir takimla yola çikacagiz’’ diye konustu.

The new transfer of FenerbahçeAcibadem, Yeon Koung Kim, signed a two year contract today. The 23 year old Korean was so lovely and sympathetic in front of cameras as she has always been. Kim told that she got offers from many other European teams, but she preferred Ze Roberto's team. She also added that she had always wanted to visit Turkey indicating the strong historical bonds between Koreans and Turks. It is so obvious that Kim is eager to contribute to Fenerbahçe Acibadem's success and ready to be a dependable yellow angel. Kim played for the South Korean team Heungkuk Life Insurance from 2005 to 2009 and spent the last two years in Japan's JT Marvelous. Team manager Violet Duca stressed that next season Fenerbahçe fans will cheer for a team that is full of young players, competing in various tournaments. Duca added that Kim is a perfect choice for such a team as she is versatile, and a strong spiker with stunning defensive abilities. We wish Kim good luck in Turkey.
