'Divine wine' for Gangneung Danoje Festival

Gangneung (강릉시), South Korea (대한민국)

Gangneung belediye baskanligini yapan Kim Deok-rae (solda), gelecek ay yapilacak Gangneung Danoje Festivali'nde kullanilacak "kutsal sarap"i mayalamak için yaslilara pirinç, çam yapragi ve arpa dagitir. Festival, 12-19 Haziran'da UNESCO tarafindan "Insanoglunun Sözlü ve Manevi Mirasi"ndan biri olarak adlandirimistir.

Kim Deok-rae (L), acting mayor of Gangneung, delivers rice, pine leaves and malt to elders in order to brew "divine wine," which will be used during the Gangneung Danoje Festival on May 18, ahead of the Gangneung Danoje Festival next month. The festival, which was named one of the "Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity" by UNESCO, will be held June 12-19.

Güney Gyeongsand Bölgesinde bulunan Hadong'da toprak tastan yapilmis mezar taslari esyalar bulundu. Mezar tasi ve çömlekçigin tarihi 3 Krallik Dönemi ( M.Ö 57 - M.S 668) yillarina dayaniyor.

Seen here are earthenware found inside tombs made of stones, which were recently discovered in Hadong, South Gyeongsang Province. The tombs and pottery date back to the Three Kingdoms Era (57 BC-668 AD).

June 9, WASHINGTON, United States — South Korea’s children’s art troupe Little Angels perform at the Kennedy Center in Washington on June 9. The event is part of a road show consisting of 16 countries that sent their soldiers to fight for South Korea during the Korean War (1950-53) as an expression of thanks and honor to war veterans on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the beginning of the war this year.
