Seo Moon Tak , Kore’de oldukça nadir bir kadın rockcıdır. Rock , pop kültüründe çok ünlü değildir ve çok fazla kadın rockcı yoktur. Ama Seo Moon Tak güçlü sesiyle Kore pop dünyasında başarılı bir rockcı olmayı başarmıştır.
Seo Moon Tak müzik kariyerine çok erken yaşta başlamıştır. Lisede daha bir çocukken grup kurdu ve EBS’de 1995’te Sejong Müzik Yarışması’nda ödül kazandıktan sonra müzik kariyerine başladı. Bir koleje kabul edilmek için verdiği bir aradan sonra , 1998’de grubuyla ‘’Phandom’’ adı altında bir omnibus albüm çıkarmıştır.Bir sonraki yıl ilk resmi albümü ‘’Asura’’ ve hit şarkısı ‘’ Love,never dying’’’le Kore pop dünyasını derinden vurdu.Güçlü sesi ve çocuksu görünümü onu çok hızlı bir şekilde popüler yaptı. 2000 ve 2001 yılında 2 resmi albüm daha çıkardı : ‘Seomoontak 2’ (2000) ve ‘Sudden Death’ (2001). Bu albümlerindeki “Memory, then after’ ve “The song of four Beauty” çok tutuldu.
2002 yılında Kore Dünya Kupası heyecanını yaşarken O da Kore futbol takımı Red-Devils’i destekleyen ‘’Red Devil’s Cheer’’ albümünü yaptı. 2004 yılında 3 yıllık aradan sonra Seo Moon Tak 4. albümü “Now Here Vol.4” ‘le tekrardan müzik piyasasına hızlı bir şekilde giriş yaptı.

Seo Moon Tak is a female rocker, which is quite rare in Korea; rock is not very famous in the pop culture, and there are not that many female rock singers even among the underground rockers. However, with her husky and powerful voice, she succeeded in the Korean pop world.
Seomoon Tak started her music career very early; she formed a band she was a junior in high school, and started her career as a musician after winning an award in the EBS Sejong Music Contest in 1995. After a gap too study for an admission in a College, she took off as a underground band, and released an omnibus album “Phandom” in 1998. The next year, she struck the pop world of Korea with her first official album ‘Asura’ and her hit song “Love, never dying.” Her powerful voice and her skilled singing, plus her boyish image, made her popular very quickly. She produced two more official albums in year 2000 and 2001, the ‘Seomoontak 2’ (2000) and the ‘Sudden Death’ (2001), again releasing hit songs such as “Memory, then after’ and “The song of four Beauty.” In year 2002, when Korea was in the excitement of World Cup, she also participated in the “Red Devils Cheer” album, supporting the Korean soccer team –the red devils. In 2004, breaking her 3 year gap, Seomoon Tak came back with her fourth album, “Now Here Vol.4”
