Her yeni yıl günü Samcheok Şehri, yeni yılın ilk gündoğumunu kutlamak için Yeni Milenyum Bulvarı'nda bir gündoğumu festivali düzenlemektedir. Gündoğumu Festivali, konserler ve havai fişekler ile başlar ve gün doğduğunda gündoğumu meditasyonu, Dilek Çanı'nın örtüsünün açılması, çan çalma töreni, yeni yıl için umut mesajı ve isteğe bağlı olarak pek çok renkteki balonun havaya salınması gibi daha birçok etkinlikler vardır.

Doğu Seoul Otobüs Terminali(동서울종합터미널)'nden, Samcheok'a giden direk otobüse bininiz.
(Günde 13 sefer yapmaktadır / Yolculuk Süresi : 3 saat 40 dakika)
Samcheok Otobüs Terminalinden, 10 numaralı otobüse binip Pelis Otel durağında ininiz. (Yolculuk Süresi: 30 dakikadır.)

Every New Year’s Day, Samcheok-si holds a sunrise festival on New Millennium Boulevard to celebrate the first sunrise of the New Year. The sunrise festival will start with concerts and fireworks and when the sun rises, there will be more events such as a sunrise meditation, unveiling of the Wishing Bell, bell tolling ceremony, a new year’s message of hope, and releasing balloons of many colors attached with wishes.
