BAI Announces Drive Against Corruption

DTK, Yolsuzlukla Mücadelenin Sürdürülecegini Duyurdu

Denetim ve Teftis Kurulu (DTK) çalisanlar arasindaki yolsuzluklar ile basa çikmak için iç düzenlemelerin güçlendirildi.

BAI pazartesi günü yeni yolsuzlukla mücadele önlemlerini açikladi. Yeni politikalar denetim komiseri adayi arayisinda bir siyasi partiye kayitli olan ya da son üç yil içinde kamu görevine aday olan kimselere engel olmayacak. Denetimciler ayrica enstitüleri denetlenen ve denetim dönemini paylasanlari özel kontaktan men edecekler.

The Board of Audit and Inspection (BAI) has strengthened internal regulations to deal with corruption among its employees.

The BAI announced the new anti-corruption measures on Monday. The new policies will prohibit anyone who is registered with a political party or who has run for public office within the past three year from seeking the nomination of inspection commissioner. Auditors will further be banned from private contact with institutes being audited and with stakeholders during the audit period.

FM Encourages Safe Overseas Travel

Disisleri Bakani Güvenli Yurtdisi Seyahatini Destekliyor

Disisleri Bakani Kim Sung-hwan Güney Korelilerin yaz tatili sezonunun baslamasi ile yurtdisi seyahatlerinde gerekli önlemleri almasi çagrisinda bulundu.

Kim, sali günü Incheon Uluslararasi Havalimani'nda yurtdisi güvenli seyahat için kural kitapçiklarini ve yurtdisinda daha hizli nakit transferi brosürleri dagitti.

Diger Disisleri Bakanligi yetkilileri ve 60 ögrenci de disisleri bakaninin çabalarina katildi.

Foreign Minister Kim Sung-hwan is urging South Koreans to take precautions when traveling overseas now that the summer vacation season has begun.

At Incheon International Airport on Tuesday, Kim handed out booklets with guidelines for safe travel overseas and distributed leaflets on rapid overseas cash transfers.

Other Foreign Ministry officials and 60 college students also participated in the foreign minister's efforts.

Lee Urges Employment of High School Graduates

Lee Lise Mezunlarinin Istihdam Edilmesi Çagrisinda Bulundu

Devlet Baskani Lee Myung-bak yalnizca lise diplomasi ile kamu sektöründe daha fazla kisiye istihdam saglamayi talep etti.

Sali günkü bakanlar kurulu toplantisinda devlet baskani, sadece lise mezunu olanlara yeterli is olanaklarinin verilmesi gerektigi açiklamasini yapti. Hükümetin öncülük yapmasini gerektigini de ekledi.

Lee, emin olmak için yetkililerden is düzenlenmesinde yüksek okul egitimi gereksinimlerinin yeniden gözden geçirilmesini istedi.

President Lee Myung-bak has asked the public sector to employ more people with only a high school diploma.

In a Cabinet meeting Tuesday, the president said ample job opportunities should be given to those with only a high school education. He added the government should take the lead.

Lee asked his officials to review hiring regulations to make sure if educational requirements.

Pres. Lee Visits Disaster Safety Relief Headquarters

Devlet Baskani Lee Afet Emniyet Genel Müdürlügünü Ziyaret Etti

Devlet Baskani Lee Myung-bak büyük sellere ve heyelanlara neden olan saganak yagmurdan olusan hasari incelemek için merkezdeki felaket güvenligi yardim merkezini ziyaret etti.

Çarsamba günü bilgilendirme aldiktan sonra, Lee merkeze halkin güvenligi için ellerinden gelen çabanin gösterilmesini ve hassas bölgelerde yasayan kisilerin tahliye edilmesini emretti. Saatte 100 milimetre yagisin daha önceden benzerinin görülmedigini belirtti.

President Lee Myung-bak has visited the central disaster safety relief headquarters to inspect damage from the recent torrential rains that have caused massive floods and triggered landslides.

After receiving a briefing on the aftermath on Wednesday, Lee ordered the headquarters to make its best efforts for public safety and to evacuate residents living in vulnerable areas. He noted that precipitation of 100 millimeters per hour is unprecedented in the nation.

Ayrica gelecek yilki devlet baskanligi seçimlerinde muhalefet partilerinin saglamlastirilmasi ve güç degisikligi gerçeklestirmek için çaba harcayacaklari sözünü verdi.

The leadership of the main opposition Democratic Party has welcomed the launch of a roundtable meeting by liberal civic group representatives and society elders.

During a party meeting Wednesday, Democratic Party Chairman Sohn Hak-kyu said his party is grateful for the launch of the roundtable meeting. He vowed to strive for consolidation of opposition parties and make efforts to realize a change of power in next year's presidential election.

Lee: The Future Should Be Considered When Monitoring the Economy

Devlet Baskani Lee Myung-bak büyük ölçüde dis etkenlere bagli olan Güney Kore’de gelecege bakmanin her zaman önemli oldugunu söyledi.

Persembe günü devlet baskani sözcüsü devlet baskaninin ekonomi toplantisinda, küresel ekonomik egilimlerin izlenmesinde simdiki ve gelecekteki durumlari göz önünde bulundurulmasinin öneminden bahsettigini açikladi. Ayrica, iç ve dis faktörlerinin dengeli bir sekilde görülmesi gerektigini açikladi.

President Lee Myung-bak says it is always important to look to the future since South Korea is heavily tied to external factors.

A presidential spokesman quoted the president as saying Thursday at an economic meeting that when monitoring global economic trends it is important to consider both current and future situations. He also said that internal and external factors should be seen in a balanced way.

Cuma günü yapilan politika koordinasyonu toplantisinda, basbakan merkez bölgede zarara neden olan siddetli yagisa degindi. Kim, olasi afetlerin tehlikeleri ve yapilarin güvenligi hakkinda bir incele yapilmasi gerektigini açikladi.

Bu haftaki korkunç yagmur ve sel hasarini kurtarma çalismalari için özel ve kamu sektörün güçlerini zamaninda birlestirilmelerini ekledi.

Prime Minister Kim Hwang-sik is calling for an overhaul of the nation’s crisis response system.

At a policy coordination meeting Friday, the prime minister touched on the damage caused by the recent rainfall in the central region. Kim said that a review must be carried out on the dangers of potential disasters and the safety standards on structures.

He added now is the time for the public and private sectors to join forces to recover from this week’s horrible rain and flood damage.
