Lee Warns Against Prosecutors’ Collective Action

Lee Savcilarin Toplu Eylemine Karsi Uyardi

Devlet Baskani Lee Myung-bak, adli sorusturma prosedürünün incelenmesi için yasa tasarisinin geçisini istifa ederek protesto eden yüksek savcilara karsi uyardi.

Lee çarsamba gecesi önde gelen savcilik yetkililerinin, Mevzuat ve Yargi Komiteleri’nin kod degisikliklerinin onaylanmasindaki tepkileri hakkinda bilgi aldiktan sonra uyardi.

Lee, savciligin toplu eylemlerden kaçinmasi gerektigini vurguladi.

Üst düzey savcilardan olusan bir grup çarsamba günü adli sorusturmada polise daha fazla yetki veren yasa tasarisini protesto için istifa etme isteklerini bildirdiler.

President Lee Myung-bak has warned against top prosecutors who have offered to resign in protest over the passage of a bill to revise the criminal investigation procedure.

Lee issued the warning Wednesday night after receiving a briefing on leading prosecution officials’ responses to the Legislation and Judiciary Committees' approved revisions to the code.

Lee stressed that the prosecution must refrain from collective action and causing concern to the public.

A group of senior prosecutors expressed their intent to resign on Wednesday in protest of the bill that gives more authority to police in criminal investigations.

Iktidardaki Büyük Ulusal Partisi’nin baskan yardimcisi Lee Myung-gyu, ticaret anlasmasi, üniversite ders kesimi ve askeri reform faturalari için agustos ayinda fazladan bir oturum yapilmasinin gerekli oldugunu açikladi.

Rival parties have agreed to hold an extraordinary parliamentary session in August to deal with pending bills and the Korea-U.S. free trade agreement.

The ruling Grand National Party’s vice floor leader Lee Myung-gyu said that holding an extra session in early August is necessary to deal with the trade pact and bills on university tuition cuts and military reform.

Güney Kore’nin parlamento baskaninin ofisinde, bu hafta sonu Baltik ülkelerine ve Danimarka’ya Avrupa ülkeleri ile ekonomik isbirligi üzerine görüsmeler yapacagi 12 günlük gezi için Seoul’den ayrilacagini açikladi.

Park Hee-tae’nin Estonya, Letonya, Litvanya ve Danimarka’ya yapacagi gezisi cumartesi günü, Avrupa Birligi ile yürürlüge giren serbest ticaret anlasmasindan bir gün sonra baslayacak. Park, siyasi liderler ve hükümet yetkilileri ile görüsmelerde, ticaret ve yatirimi genisletme yollarini görüsmeyi planliyor.

South Korea's parliamentary speaker will leave Seoul this weekend on a 12-day trip to Baltic states and Denmark for discussions on economic cooperation with the European countries, his office said.

Rep. Park Hee-tae's trip to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Denmark starting on Saturday comes a day after South Korea's free trade deal with the European Union took effect. Park plans to discuss ways to expand trade and investment in talks with political leaders and government officials

South Korea and Turkey have agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of broadcasting and communications, South Korean officials said Friday.

Choi See-joong, chairman of the Korea Communications Commission dealing with South Korea's broadcasting and communications policies, reached the agreement in Turkey with Davut Dursun, president of the Turkish Radio and Television Supreme Council.

G. Kore Devlet Baskani 3 Afrika Ülkesini Ziyaret Edecek

Devlet Baskani Lee Myung-bak, cumartesi gününden 11 temmuza kadar üç Afrika ülkesine gezi düzenleyecek.

Devlet Baskani Kore yerel saatiyle pazar sabahi erkenden Kore’nin 2018 Kis Olimpiyatlari’na ev sahipligi teklifi Pyeongchang’a destek olmak için Durban’a ulasmis olacak. Çarsamba günü Lee, Uluslararasi Olimpiyat Komitesi üyelerine Güney Kore’nin Olimpiyat hedeflerinin desteklenmesinde son bir tanitim yapacak.

President Lee Myung-bak will be embarking on a tour of three African nations from Saturday through July 11th.

The president will land at Durban in South Africa early Sunday morning Korean time, where he will contribute to Korea’s bid to host the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. On Wednesday, Lee will make a final pitch to the International Olympic Committee members in support of South Korea’s Olympic aspirations.

Disisleri Bakani Basyardimcisi Park Sung-hwan ve Japonya Disisleri Bakan Yardimcisi Kenichiro Sasae cumartesi günü, toplanti sirasinda bu tür görüslerini paylastilar.

Güney Kore ve Japonya, disisleri bakanlari yardimcisi arasindaki stratejik görüsmeleri, önemli bölgeler ve uluslararasi konularda birlikte çalismak amaciyla ilk olarak Ekim 2005’te baslatmisti.

Görüsmelerin 12. turu bu yilin ikinci yarisinda Güney Kore’de gerçeklestirilecek.

South Korea and Japan have expressed the need to boost friendly bilateral relations to promote stability and prosperity in Northeast Asia and across the world.

The Foreign Ministry said Saturday that First Vice Foreign Minister Park Suk-hwan and Japanese Vice Foreign Minister Kenichiro Sasae shared such views when they met.

South Korea and Japan first launched strategic talks between their vice foreign ministers in October 2005 with the aim of working together on key regional and international issues.

The 12th round of talks will take place in South Korea in the second half of this year.

Hükümet, Pazar günü yaptigi açiklamada kendine has ekonomik bölgelerin kapsami üzerinde Çin ve Japonya ile olan anlasmazliklarini da alevlendireceginin beklendigini de açikladi.

Hükümet yetkilileri, komisyona basvurularinda, Kita Sahanligi (CLC) Sinirlarinin ülkenin yasal münhasir ekonomik göstergelerinde mevcut olan 200 deniz mili ötesine uzanmasi gerektigini iddia edeceklerini belirttiler.

S. Korea to submit claim on East China Sea shelf to U.N. this year :

SEOUL, July 3 (Yonhap) -- South Korea has decided to submit a claim to an extended portion of the continental shelf in the East China Sea to a United Nations commission within this year, the government said Sunday, a move expected to rekindle its dispute with China and Japan over the extent of their respective exclusive economic zones.

The submission to the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf (CLCS) will claim that the country's statutory exclusive economic zone stretches beyond the current 200 nautical miles, government officials said.

SEOUL, July 3 (Yonhap) -- The ruling Grand National Party (GNP) will elect new leadership at its national convention Monday, as it seeks to freshen its public image and policies ahead of next year's general and presidential polls.

The GNP's convention slated for Monday afternoon at Seoul's Olympic Gymnastics Hall will elect the party's new chairperson and four supreme council members from among a total of seven candidates.
