Pohang Port / 포항항
Pohang Limanı Güney Kore'nin doğusundaki Gyeongsangbuk Eyaleti'nde bulunur. 1930 öncesinde bugünki liman inşa edildiğinde, bu işlek liman küçük bir balıkçı köyüydü. Japonya'daki Kitakyushu Limanı'nın yaklaşık 264 kilometre kuzeydoğusundaki bu deniz bereketli bir balık tutma bölgesidir ve limanın art bölgesi tarım ürünü ihtiyacını karşılar.
Günümüzde, Pohang Limanı demiryolu, karayolu ve deniz yolu taşımacılığı yollarının merkezidir. 1970'lerden önce ağır sanayi, şehrin içinde kendi yolunu bulduğu zaman, Pohang Limanı konyak ve şarap yapımının geleneksel işletmeciliğine ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Bugün demir-çelik üreticileri ve gemi inşa mühendisleri de yerel ekonomiyi desteklemektedir. 1999'da 318 binin üzerinde kişi Pohang Limanı'nı evi olarak görüyordu.

The Port of Pohang is located in North Gyeongsang Province in eastern South Korea. This busy port was a small fishing village before 1930 when the modern harbor was constructed. Just 264 kilometers northeast of the Port of Kitakyushu in Japan, the sea offers plentiful fisheries, and the hinterlands provide agricultural products.
Today, the Port of Pohang is the hub of rail, road, and sea transportation routes. Before the 1970s when heavy industry made its way into the city, the Port of Pohang was home to traditional industries of brandy- and wine-making. Today, iron and steel producers and shipbuilders also support the local economy. In 1999, over 318 thousand people called the Port of Pohang home.
