Ziyaretçiler, üstün kaliteli pirinciyle taninan Icheon sehrinde düzenlenen pirinç festivali esnasinda 600 metre uzunlugundaki pirinç kekini tutarak böyle bir ana taniklik etmenin mutlulugunu yasadi. Hazirlanan pirinç keki, her birine 30 santimlik dilim verildiginde 2000 kisiye yetecek çokluktaydi.

Basbakanlik ofisinin açiklamasina göre 26 Ekimdeki oylama sonuçlari oy verenlerden 20li yaslardan 40li yaslara kadar olan kismi güvensizlik, memnuniyetsizlik ve gelecege dair kaygi gibi duygularinin birer yansimasi.

Basbakanlik ofisi bu yas grubu ile daha iyi iletisim kurmak için türettikleri tedbirleri bakanliklara teslim etti.

Bu tedbirlerin içinde bakan ve bakan yardimcilarinin yeni neslin ihtaç ve isteklerine kulak vermesi de talep ediliyor.

Gov’t Seeks to Improve Communication with its People
The government is seeking to improve communication with its people in their 20 through their 40s.

The Prime Minister’s Office said voters in their 20s through 40s expressed their feelings of distrust, dissatisfaction, and worries for the future, and the October 26th by-election results are a reflection of such public sentiment.

The office delivered devised measures to government ministries to better communicate with people in the age group.

The measures include a request for ministers and vice ministers to listen to the needs and wants of young generations.

The Prime Minister’s Office also ordered government ministries to draw up policies to meet the demand of people in the age group, such as job creation for people in their 20s, resolution of the non-regular worker issue for those in their 30s and improving child education for voters in their 40s.

Jeju Adasi, Dünya'nin Yeni 7 Harikasi Için 10 Finalist Arasinda

Güney Kore'nin Jeju Adasi, Dünya'nin Yeni Yedi Doga Harikasi'ni seçmek için yapilan küresel bir oylamada ilk on finalist arasinda yer aldi.

Dünya'nin Yedi Harikasi listesinde Jeju'nun seçilmesini destekleyen bir Güney Kore komitesi, Isviçre merkezli Yeni Yedi Doga Harikasi Vakfi'nin Pazar günü yeni finalistleri açikladigini bildirdi.

Su anda internet üzerinde devam eden anketlerde Ölü Deniz, Büyük Kanyon, Büyük Barrier Resifi, Halong Körfezi, Jeita Magarasi, Jeju Adasi, Komodo Adasi, Puerto Princesa Yeralti Nehri, Sundarbans ve Vesuvius önde giden bu on yerdir.

Vakif, Kore zamaniyla Cumartesi günü 04:07'de Web sitesi new7wonders.com'da yedi finalist sonuçlarini yayinlayacak.

Kisiler, internet üzerinden ya da telefon araciligiyla Cuma aksami anketler kapanana kadar oy kullanabilecekler.

South Korea's Jeju Island is among the top ten finalists in a global vote to select the World's New Seven Wonders of Nature.

A South Korean committee promoting Jeju's selection on the Seven Wonders list says the Switzerland-based New Seven Wonders Foundation announced the current finalists on Sunday.

The ten sites leading the online polls at this time are the Dead Sea, the Grand Canyon, the Great Barrier Reef, Halong Bay, Jeita Grotto, Jeju Island, Komodo Island, Puerto Princesa Underground River, Sundarbans and Vesuvius.

The foundation will release the results of the seven finalists on its Web site new7wonders.com at 4:07 a.m. Saturday Korean time.

People can cast their votes online or by phone before the polls close Friday evening.

Three S.Koreans Kidnapped in the Philippines
Filipinler'de Üç Güney Koreli Kaçirildi

Güney Koreli üç isadami, Filipinler'de kimligi belirsiz silahli kisilerce kaçirilmisti.

Filipin polisi Pazartesi günü, madencilik sektöründe görev yapan Koreli üç isadaminin Filipinler'in güneyindeki Mindanao adasinda geçtigimiz ay silahli soyguncular tarafindan kaçirildigini söyledi.

Kaçirilan Korelilerin, geçen ay bu bölgedeki bir maden ocagindan dönerken kaçirilmis olabilecegi düsünülüyor. Filipin polisi yerel bir rehber olarak Korelilere eslik etmeye devam ediyor.

2008 Mart ayinda, Filipinler'de baska bir Güney Koreli isadami kaçirilmisti ve yaklasik iki ay sonra serbest birakilmisti.

Three South Korean businessmen in the Philippines have been kidnapped by unidentified gunmen.

The Philippine police said on Monday that the three Korean businessmen in the mining industry were taken by the gunmen on the southern Philippine island of Mindanao late last month.

The kidnapped Koreans are believed to have been abducted while returning from a mine in the region last month. The Philippine police are pursuing a local guide who accompanied the Koreans.

In March 2008, another South Korean businessman was kidnapped in the Philippines and was freed about two months later.
