Foreign Students Learn English in S.Korea

Yabanci Ögrenciler Güney Kore'de Ingilizce Ögreniyor

Yurtdisindan gelen, sayilari hizla artan ögrenciler, Ingilizce ögrenmek için Güney Kore'ye geliyor.

Bazi Taylandli ögrenciler, Amerikali ögretmen tarafindan Gyeonggi Eyaleti'nde Ingilizce dersleri aliyor.

Ülkenin Ingilizce egitim sistemi oldukça kisa bir sürede Ingilizce ögrenmelerini sagladigindan, Ingilizce ögrenmek için yer olarak Güney Kore'yi seçtiler.

Yaklasik 600 yabanci ögrenci, Ingiliz köyü olarak bilinen Ingilizce ögrenme tesisinde çalisiyor. Rakamin binden daha da fazla yükselmesi bekleniliyor.

Ingilizce programlarina ek olarak, siniflarin yani sira yurtdisindaki K-pop kültürünün patlamasi üzerine Ingiliz köyü ayrica Kore dili ve kültürü üzerine ders veriyor.

K-pop kültürünün artan popülaritesi, ülkenin daha fazla yabanci ögrenci çekmesine yardimci oluyor.

A growing number of students from overseas are coming to South Korea to learn English.

Some Thai students are taking an English class taught by an American teacher in Gyeonggi Province.

They have chosen South Korea as the place to learn English since the nation’s English education system enables them to learn the language in a relatively short time.

Roughly 600 foreign students are studying at the English learning facility, which is known as an English village. The figure is expected to rise to more than one-thousand.

In addition to the English-language programs, the English village also runs courses on Korean language and culture as well as classes on the boom of K-pop culture abroad.

The growing popularity of K-pop culture is helping the nation draw more and more foreign students.

Üniversite ögrencileri, 14 Mart 2012 tarihinde Seoul Japon Büyükelçiligi önünde, eski sözde "cinsel köleler" ve onlarin destekçileri tarafindan sahnelenen, bir mitinge katildi. Ögrencilerden Japon nisani tutan, ''Kendi tarihini unutan bir ulus için gelecek yoktur.'' dedi. Biz, Japon hükümetinden bir özür istiyoruz. "Cinsel köleler" terimi, Ikinci Dünya Savasi sirasinda Japon askerleri için seks köleligine zorlanan, çogu Asyali, kadinlari ifade eder. Katilimcilar Japon hükümetinden artik yaslanmis olan kadinlara özür dilenmesi ve tazminat ödenmesi için seslendiler. Miting, Kore Kurulu tarafindan, Japonya tarafindan Askeri Cinsel Kölelige Çagirilan Kadinlar için organize edildi. College students join a rally, staged by former so-called "comfort women" and their supporters, in front of the Japanese Embassy in Seoul on March 14, 2012. One of the students holds a Japanese sign saying, "There is no future for a nation that has forgotten its history. We want an apology from the Japanese government." The term "comfort women" refers to women, mostly Asian, who were forced into sex slavery for Japanese soldiers during World War II. The participants call on the Japanese government to apologize to the now-elderly women and provide compensation. The rally was organized by the Korean Council for Women Drafted for Military Sexual Slavery by Japan. Also known as "Jeongdaehyeop,”the Seoul-based council was established in 1990 and holds a weekly rally in front of the embassy.

Blaze At Paint Plant

Kuzey Kore Unhasu Orkestrasi ve Fransa Radyosu Filarmoni Orkestrasi, Fransiz tarafin daveti üzerine ertesi gün Paris'te Salle Pleyel Tiyatrosu'nda ortak bir performans gerçeklestirmeyi planliyor.

N. Korean Orchestra Performs under S. Korean Conductor Chung Myung-whun

Kuzey Kore Orkestrasi Güney Koreli Sef Chung Myung-whun Idaresinde Performans Sergiledi

Kuzey Kore'nin Unhasu Orkestrasi, yerel saatte Çarsamba gecesi Paris'te Fransa Radyosu Filarmoni Orkestrasi ile tarihi bir ortak konser için performans sergiledi. Satislari tükenen performans, iki bin kisi civarinda izleyici çekerken, iki saat otuz dakika sürdü.

Ortak performansi organize eden orkestra sefi Chung Myung-whun, gece için son sarki olarak Korelilerin sevilen türküsü “Arirang”i yönetti.

Orkestra sefi Chung, gelecekte ortak bir konser sergilemeyi planladigini söyledi.

Kuzey Kore büyükelçisi Yoon Young-il ve diger Kuzey Koreli yetkililerin onlarcasi da etkinlige katildi.

North Korea’s Unhasu Orchestra performed with Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra in Paris for a historic joint concert on Wednesday night, local time. The sold-out performance lasted two hours and thirty minutes, attracting an audience of around two-thousand people.

Conductor Chung Myung-whun, who organized the joint performance, directed the Koreans’ beloved folk song “Arirang” as the last song for the night.

Conductor Chung said he plans perform in a joint concert in the future.

North Korean ambassador Yoon Young-il and dozens of other North Korean officials also attended the event.

Fire at Boryeong Thermal Power Plant Extinguished

Boryeong Termik Santrali'ndeki Yangin Söndürüldü

Persembe gecesi Güney Chungcheong Eyaleti'ndeki Boryeong'da, ülkenin en büyük termik santralinde çikan yangin tamamen söndürüldü.

Yangin yetkililerinin, alevleri söndürmek için 30 itfaiye aracini seferber etmesine ragmen, yangin Cuma günü gece üçte yeniden basladi. Cuma sabahi da yanginla mücadele çalismalari devam etti.

Yangin, 500 bin kilowattlik Boryeong Termik Santrali Ünite 1'in çalismasini durdurdu. Yangin nedeniyle, Ünite 3 ve 4 de kisa bir süre için durdu fakat yakinda elektrik üretimi yeniden baslayabildi.

Fabrika, Ünite 1'in faaliyetlerini durdurmalarina ragmen ülkenin güç rezerv orani yüzde 20 civarinda durarak, ülkenin güç kaynaginin saglanmasinda herhangi bir sorun olmayacagini söyledi.

A fire that broke out on Thursday night in the nation’s largest thermal power plant in Boryeong, South Chungcheong Province has been completely extinguished.

Although the fire authorities had mobilized 30 fire trucks to put out the flames, the fire restarted at 3 a.m. Friday. The firefighting efforts continued into Friday morning.

The fire halted the operation of the 500-thousand-kilowatt Boryeong Thermal Power Unit One. Due to the fire, Unit Three and Four also momentarily stopped but was able to soon restart generating electricity.

The plant said that there will be no problem in the nation's power supply despite Unit One’s suspended operations as the nation’s power reserve rate stands at around 20 percent.

Gas explosion at waste recycling center
