Korean Films Popular in Busan's Asian Film Market

Busan'ın Asya Film Pazarında Popüler Kore Filmleri

Festival, Çarşamba günü yaptığı açıklamada, Güney Kore liman kenti Busan'da düzenlenen bu yıl ki Asya Film Pazarında yurtdışındaki alıcılara birçok Kore film satıldığını bildirdi.

Busan Uluslararası Film Festivali'ne göre, Cumartesi'den Salı'ya kadar Busan Fuar ve Kongre Merkezi'nde gerçekleşen 12. Asya Film Pazarı'nda Ma Dong-seok ve Yoon Kye-sang'ın rol aldığı yerel bir suç filmi olan "Outlaws" un dağıtım hakları Tayvan, Hong Kong ve Filipinler'deki şirketlere satıldı.

İlk haftasonunda birinci olan "The Outlaws" 3 Eylül'de piyasaya çıktığından bu yana 3.93 milyon bilet sattı.

Aktris Kim Hye-soo'nun başını çektiği "A Special Lady", 9 Kasım'da yapacağı "Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds" adlı filmin galası öncesinde Tayvan'a satıldı bile Aralık ayında yayınlanması planlanan ve aynı adı taşıyan popüler bir webtoonun uyarlanması, 12 ülkeye önceden satıldı.

Ayrıca, aktör Choi Min-sik'in başrolünde oynadığı "Heart Blackened" ve "Only This Is My World" adlı iki yeni film, diğer Asya ülkelerine satıldı.

Festival, Asya Film Pazarının, geçen yılkinden yaklaşık 200 kişi artarak 45 ülkeden toplam 1.583 ziyaretçiye ulaştığını söyledi.

Many Korean films have been sold to overseas buyers during this year's Asian Film Market held in the southern port city of Busan, the festival said Wednesday.

According to the Busan International Film Festival, distribution rights to "The Outlaws," a local crime action starring Ma Dong-seok and Yoon Kye-sang, were sold to companies from Taiwan, Hong Kong and the Philippines, at the 12th Asian Film Market that took place at the Busan Exhibition & Convention Center from Saturday to Tuesday.
"The Outlaws," which ranked first on its premiere weekend, has sold 3.93 million tickets since its release on Oct. 3.

"A Special Lady," an action noir led by actress Kim Hye-soo, was sold to Taiwan even before its premiere scheduled for Nov. 9 while "Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds," a film adaptation of a popular webtoon of the same name set to open in December, was pre-sold to 12 countries.

In addition, two other forthcoming films "Heart Blackened" and "Only That Is My World," both starring actor Choi Min-sik, were sold to other Asian nations.

The Asian Film Market drew a total of 1,583 visitors from 45 countries, up some 200 people from last year, the festival said.

'The Outlaws' Again Dominates Box Office, Soon to Hit 5 Mln Viewers

5 Milyon İzleyiciyi Yakında Bulacak Olan 'The Outlaws' Yine Gişelerde Hakim

Suç aksiyon filmi "The Outlaws" yeni çıkan "Geostorm" u yenerek ikinci haftadasın da haftasonu gişelerinde üst sıralarda kaldı.

Kore filmlerini teşvik etmek için kurulan bir devlet ajansı olan Kore Film Konseyi'ne (KOFIC) göre, Kore filmi toplam 787,242 bilet satarak 4.97 milyona ulaştı.

Kang Yoon-sung'un yönettiği ve Ma Dong-seok ile Yoon Kye-sang'ın oynadığı "The Outlaws", 15 gün boyunca gişe başkanlığını sürdürdü ve Pazartesi gününün izleyici sayılarıyla birlikte 5 milyonu aşması bekleniyor.

Hollywood felaket filmi "Geostorm", haftasonu 20-22 Ekim arasında 605.657 bilet satarak 2. Sıraya yükseldi.

Yeni çıkan bir başka film olan önde gelen bağımsızlık eylemcisi ve siyasetçisi Kim Koo'nun hayatını anlatan yerel bir biyografi filmi "Man of Will", üçüncü oldu. Cho Jin-woong ve Song Seung-heon'un oynadığı film, açılış haftasonunda 201.279 izleyici çekti.

Lee Byung-hun ve Kim Yoon-seok'un rol aldığı "The Fortress"ise 64.478 kez izlenerek dördüncü sıraya çıktı. Onu, Güney Kore'de dördüncü haftasonuna giren ve 44.468 bilet satan İngiliz-Amerikan casus aksiyon komedisi "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" izledi.

The crime action film "The Outlaws" defeated newcomer "Geostorm" to remain atop the weekend box office for the second straight week.

The Korean film sold 787,242 tickets, bringing its total haul to 4.97 million, according to the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), a state agency for promoting Korean films.

Directed by Kang Yoon-sung and starring Ma Dong-seok and Yoon Kye-sang, "The Outlaws" has maintained its box-office lead for 15 straight days and is expected to surpass the 5 million mark in attendance Monday.

The Hollywood disaster flick "Geostorm" debuted at No. 2, selling 605,657 tickets over the Oct. 20-22 weekend.

Another newcomer, "Man of Will," a local biopic on the early life of prominent independence activist and politician Kim Koo, came in third. The film starring Cho Jin-woong and Song Seung-heon attracted 201,279 viewers on its opening weekend.

"The Fortress," starring Lee Byung-hun and Kim Yoon-seok, slipped two notches to fourth with 64,478 views. It was followed by the British-American spy action comedy "Kingsman: The Golden Circle," which sold 44,468 tickets in its fourth weekend in South Korea.

'Thor: Ragnarok' Surpasses 1 Mln Attendance in S. Korea

'Thor: Ragnarok' Güney Kore'de 1 Milyondan Fazla Gösterimi Geçti

Filmin dağıtıcısının yaptığı açıklamaya göre, Hollywood filmi "Thor:Ragnarok"un vizyona girmesinin dördüncü gününde 1 milyon izleyiciyi aştı.

Walt Disney Company Korea'nın kayıtlarına göre, 1.15 milyon izleyici Marvel superhero franchise'taki en son filmi cumartesi günü sabah 7'den itibaren gördü. Bu, Güney Kore'deki yabancı filmler arasında en iyi Ekim katılım takvimine sahip olan 2016 Marvel filmi "Doctor Strange" ile aynı hızda.

Aynı zamanda en hızlı "Thor" franchise filmi olarak 1 milyonun üstüne yükseldi.

The Hollywood film "Thor: Ragnarok" surpassed 1 million viewers on the fourth day of its run, the movie's distributor said Saturday.

According to the Walt Disney Company Korea, 1.15 million viewers had seen the latest movie in the Marvel superhero franchise as of 7 a.m. Saturday. This is the same pace as the 2016 Marvel film "Doctor Strange," which has the best October attendance tally among foreign movies in South Korea.

It is also the fastest "Thor" franchise movie to top 1 million.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is the third installment in the "Thor" franchise after "Thor" in 2011 and "Thor: the Dark World" in 2013.

The movie, directed by Taika Waititi, features a slew of Hollywood stars, including Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, along with Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo, Idris Elba and Anthony Hopkins.
