Kore Dijital Üniversitesi (KDU) yüksek öğretimde en gelişmiş bilgi teknolojisi ile kaliteli ve uyumlu bir şekilde kullanarak üniversiteler arasında bir ilk olmuştur. İnternet üzerinden tam lisans programları ile online üniversite eğitim sunmaktadır. 2001 yılında kurulan KDU'nin misyonu yaşam boyu öğrenmek için sürekli eğitim sağlamaktadır. Yüksek eğitimde evrensel erişimi teşvik etmek ve hızla değişen dünyanın eğitim zorluklarını aşmak ve Kore yüksek eğitim reformunu ön planda tutmaktadır. Ancak, KDU misyonu, Kore sınırları içinde sınırlı değildir. KDU yurtdışında yaşayan Koreliler için, hem küresel standartlarda kaliteli eğitim sağlamak için yurt dışındaki Korelilere de eğitim vermektedirler. Kalitesi yüksek olan bu sistem, eşsiz öğrenci servis ve küresel vizyonu olan on-line eğitim küreselleşme çağındadır.
KDU gerçekten yapılmamış misyonunu gerçekleştirmektedir. Yedi akademik bölüm ve 2001 yılında 900 öğrenci ile başladı.Ama bugün on üç bölüm ve 7.000 'den fazla öğrencisi ile bir üniversite için tüm dünya, kendi çalışmaları doğrultusunda günlük oturum sağlayarak bulunduğu yerden büyüdü. Bugün, KDU özel programlar da dahil olmak üzere geniş bir seçim, programları birleştiren çeşitli müfredatlar ve bu hızlı küresel çevre toplumunda öğrencilerin özel ihtiyaçlarını kolaylaştırmak için yapılar sunmaktadir.
Eğitimde bizim mükemmelliğimiz, fark edildi. Ve 2004 'te, Koreli idare birliği, Kore 'de çizgi üniversitesinde en iyisi olarak KDU 'i tanıdı, Internet güç ödülüyle bizi ödüllendirdi.

As one of the first accredited universities to offer online college education with complete degree programs via the internet, Korea Digital University (KDU) has played a vital role in adapting quality in higher education with the most advanced information technology. Founded in 2001 to meet the educational challenges of a rapidly changing world, KDU has stood by its mission to provide continuing education for lifelong learning, to promote universal access to higher education, and to stand at the forefront of higher education reform in Korea. However, KDU¡¯s mission is not confined within the boundaries of Korea. KDU seeks to provide quality education of global standards to Koreans living abroad, as well as to non-Koreans living in Korea and elsewhere. Our commitment to educational excellence, unsurpassed student service, and global vision has redefined quality higher on-line education in the age of globalization
KDU has indeed been successful in accomplishing its mission. We began with seven academic departments and 900 students in 2001, but today we have grown to a university with thirteen departments and more than 7,000 students from all over the world, who log on everyday to pursue their studies on-line. Today, KDU offers a wide selection of programs, including custom-made programs that combines various curricula to facilitate the specific needs of students in this fast-paced global environment.
Our excellence in education has not gone unnoticed. In 2004, the Korean Management Association recognized KDU as the best on-line university in Korea, by bestowing us with the Internet Power Award.
KDU is also committed to providing free education to the wider public. Since 2003, KDU has launched a nation-wide campaign with Samsung SDS to teach basic computer skills and information technology to the general public free of charge. Our conviction is that higher education should be available to ¡°anyone, anytime, anywhere,¡± and we have thus begun a campaign to promote universal access to higher education.
To compensate for the lack of face-to-face interaction among students and faculty, we have consistently encouraged off-line meetings, which include study-group meetings, student activities, and regional meetings. We are proud to say that our network of diligent students and alumni, outstanding faculty and dedicated staff, is our best asset. We remain committed to recruit the most qualified professors and staff, to develop the most relevant and outstanding educational multimedia contents, and give our students the most efficient service possible with the most up-to-date technology and equipment.
