Yıldız senarist "An Affair" (1998, Lee Jae-Yong'un yönetmenliği ile)," The Foul King" (1999, Kim Ji-woon'un yönetmenliği ile), ve "Untold Scandal" (2003, Lee Jae-Yong'un yönetmenliği ile) dizileri ile, Kim, adiliğin, skandallaının tabuları olan "cesaret" ve "mutluluk" konularına odaklanmıştır. 1991 KOFIC Senaryo Yarışması'nı kazanarak film kariyerine başlamış, film yönetmeni olarak yeni bir kariyere atılmıştır.

A star scriptwriter with "An Affair" (1998, directed by Lee Jae-Yong), "The Foul King" (1999, directed by Kim Ji-woon), and "Untold Scandal" (2003, directed by Lee Jae-Yong), Kim has focused on the themes of 'courage' and 'happiness' while looking into the social taboos of lewdness, scandals, and foul play. Having started his film career by winning the 1991 KOFIC Script Contest, he attempts to begin a new career as a film director.
