Junhyung; Seoul, Güney Kore'de doğdu. Yong Jae Soon olan adını; altıncı sınıfa giderken Yong Jun Hyung olarak değiştirdi. U-KISS Kewin Woo ile birlikte, erkek grubu Xing'in bir üyesiydi ve sahne adı Poppin' Dragon'du. BEAST, Cube Entertainment altındaki Güney Koreli 5 üyeden oluşan bir gruptu.
Grup önceleri "Boys 2 Search the Top"un baş harflerinden oluşan B2ST olarak biliniyordu. Daha sonra isimleri BEAST (Boys of East Asia Standing Tall) olarak değiştirildi. İlk mini albümleri Beast is the B2ST'i 14 Ekim 2009'da yayınladılar ve 2 gün sonra KBS Music Bank'te çıkışlarını gerçekleştirdiler. Grup toplamda 8 mini albüm ("Beast is the B2ST", "Shock of the New Era", "Mastermind", "Lights Go On Again", "Midnight Sun", "Good Luck", "Time" ve "Ordinary") ve 2 tam uzunlukta albüm ("Fiction and Fact" ve "Hard to Love How to Love") çıkarmıştır.

Cube Entertainment ile kontratları sona eren eski BEAST grubu üyeleri kendi bağımsız eğlence şirketleri Around US Entertainment'ı kurdular. Üyeler bu şirketin altında, Highlight grubu olarak çalışmalarına devam ediyor.

Solo Kariyeri

Junhyung, Lee Gikwang'ın "Wiping the tears" müzik videosunda Doojoonla birlikte rap yapmıştır. Highlight üyesi Yang Yo Seob, sunucu ve komedyen Lee Hyuk jae, Moon Hae Joon (eski H.O.T. üyesi) ve Kim Sook ile birlikte Koreli ünlüler ve Japon turistlerin MBC "Star Guide Doshiraku" programında Seoul'un ünlü mekanlarını ve yemek kültürünü keşfettikleri "Visit Seoul 2010" kampanyasında Japon turistleri karşılamıştır.

Junhyung aynı zamanda Hyuna'nın solo çıkış parçası "Change"de yer almıştır. 4minute ile birlikte "Heard 'Em All" da yer almıştır. MBC "High Kick Through the Roof"da konuk oyuncu olarak görünmüştür. Aynı zamanda 4minute'ın "Hit Your Heart" albümündeki "Who's Next" şarkısındaki rap bölümünün sözlerini yazmış ve söylemiştir.

G.NA'nın albümüyle aynı adı taşıyan çıkış parçası "I'll Back Off So You Can Live"da Doojoon'un görünüşüyle zıt bir etki yaratmak için rap yapmıştır. 4minute Hyuna, Outsider, Verbal Jint, Mighty Mouth Ssangchu, Vasco ve Zico ile birlikte tüm geliri hayır işlerine bağışlanacak "Faddy Robot Foundation"da yer almıştır. Seul Zirvesi Asya Köprüsü İçeriği (Temsilcisi Choi Jin) anısına Seul'de düzenlenen G20 zirvesine halkın katılımını teşvik etmek amacıyla Shinsadong Tiger, Lim Sanghyuk, Eddie ve Junhyung tarafından bestelenen kampanya şarkısı "Let's Go"da yer almıştır.

23 Kasım 2010'da Young Jee rap kısmı Junhyung tarafından yazılmış "Crazy, That's What Love Is" singleını çıkardı. 19 Ocak 2011'de Navi Junhyung'un da rap yaptığı "Go Again" singleını çıkardı. 14 Mart 2011'de Wheesung, Junhyung'un da yer aldığı "Heart Aching Story" şarkısını yayınladı.

Junhyung aynı zamanda M&D'nin müzik videosu "Close Your Mouth"da FT Island Hongki,Jonghun, Supreme Team Simon D ve eski Miss A üyesi Jia ile birlikte yer aldı.

Hyuna'nın "Bubble Pop" albümündeki "A Bitter Day" şarkısında, Kim Wan Sun'un "Be Quiet" şarkısında ve ALi'nin "SOUL-RI: A Town With Soul" albümünün çıkış şarkısı "Don't Act Countrified"de yer aldı.

3 Şubat 2012'de "Living Without You" isimli bir şarkı yayınlamıştır. Bu şarkı hip-hop tarzındadır, co-prodüksiyonu Junhyung tarafından yapılmış ve Kim Tae Joo tarafından bestelenmiştir. Şarkı sevgilisi tarafından ihanete uğrayan bir adamın acısının üstesinden gelme hikayesini anlatıyordu. Junhyung aynı zamanda Yang Yo Seob'un 21 Kasım 2012'de yayınlanan "Fist Collage"ında prodüktörlük yapmıştır.

Junhyung 13 Aralık 2013'de, ilk solo çıkışını gerçekleştireceği mini albümü "Flower"ı çıkarmıştır. 28 Haziran 2011'de Cube Entertainment, Junhyung'un Goo Hara (KARA) ile birlikte olduğunu duyurdu. Aynı zamanda DSP Media da "Birbirlerine karşı güzel şeyler hissediyorlar fakat hala birbirlerini daha iyi tanımaya çalışıyorlar." açıklamasında bulundu. 27 Mart 2013'de Cube Entertainment ve DSP Media, ikilinin 2 yıllık ilişkilerini sonlandırdıklarını duyurdu.

Yong Jun-hyung also known as Poppin' Dragon and Joker, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, rapper, actor, dancer and record producer. He is a member and the main rapper of the boy group Beast.

• Biography •

Junhyung was born in Seoul, South Korea. He changed his birth name Yong Jae-soon to his current name when he was in 6th grade. He was once a member of the boyband Xing along with Kevin Woo from U-KISS and was known as Poppin' Dragon when he was promoting with them. He was featured in various singles as a rapper for artists such as labelmates Hyuna's "Change" and G.NA's "Kkeojyeo Julge Jar Sara" (꺼져 줄게 잘 살아, lit. I'll Back Off So You Can Live Better), Young Jee's "Crazy, that's what love is", Navi's "Go Again" and Wheesung's "Words That Freeze My Heart".

BEAST

Beast is a boy band from South Korea that consist of five members, under Cube Entertainment. They were originally known as B2ST, an acronym for Boys 2 Search the Top, however, their name was changed to BEAST (Boys of East Asia Standing Tall). They released their first mini-album Beast Is The B2ST on October 14, 2009 and made their first live performance on KBS's Music Bank 2 days later. The group has released a total of 8 mini-albums, "Beast is the B2ST", "Shock of the New Era", "Mastermind", "Lights Go On Again", "Midnight Sun", "Good Luck", "Time", "Ordinary" and 2 full-length albums called "Fiction and Fact" and "Hard to Love How to Love".

Solo Career

Junhyung was featured in Lee Gi-kwang's music video "눈물을 닦고" ("Wiping the Tears") as a rapper with Doojoon. Along with fellow BEAST member Yang Yoseob, MC and comedian Lee Hyuk-jae, Moon Hee-joon (formerly of H.O.T.) and Kim Sook, they welcomed Japanese tourists for "Visit Seoul 2010" campaign, where Korean celebrities and Japanese tourists explored Seoul in MBC's "Star Guide Doshiraku" to raise awareness of Seoul's famous areas as well as its cuisine.

Junhyung also featured in Hyuna's solo debut single "Change" Yong along with 4minute were also featured in "Heard 'Em All" for Amerie's Asian version of the album In Love & War. He also starred in MBC "High Kick Through the Roof" as a cameo in one of its episodes. He was also involved in writing and performing the rap section for 4minute's album "Hit Your Heart", in the song "Who's Next?"

Junhyung was featured rapping for G.NA's album title song "I'll Back Off So You Can Live Better" music video, with the intent of giving an "opposite vibe" from Doojoon's appearance. Junhyung was also featured in "Faddy Robot Foundation" together with 4minute's Hyuna, Outsider, Verbal Jint, Mighty Mouth's Ssangchu, Vasco and Zico; all profit from this album has been promised to be given out to charity. In order to encourage the public participation in commemorating Seoul Summit Asia Bridge Contents (Representative Choi Jin) announced that the G20 summit held in Seoul created the campaign song "Let's Go" composed by Shinsadong Tiger, Lim Sanghyuk, Eddie, and Junhyung.

In November 23, 2010, Young Jee released a single named "Crazy, That's What Love Is" featuring Junhyung who wrote the rap lyrics himself. On January 19, 2011, Navi released a single named "Go Again" featuring Junhyung rapping. On 14 March 2011, Wheesung released "Heart Aching Story" song featuring Yong Junhyung.

Junhyung also appeared in M&D's music video for "Close Your Mouth" with FT Island's Hongki & Jonghun, Supreme Team's Simon D and Miss A's Jia which was released on June 22, 2011.

He was also featured as a rapper for Hyuna's album "Bubble Pop!" in the song 'A Bitter Day", Kim Wan-sun's single "Be Quiet", and ALi's title song "Don't Act Countrified" from her album "SOUL-RI: A Town With Soul".

On February 3, 2012, he released a solo song titled, "너 없이 사는 것도 (Living Without You)". The song was written in the hip-hop style, and was co-produced by Junhyung and composer Kim Tae Joo. The song tells the story of a man who must overcome the pain of being betrayed by a woman he loved. The songs "이럴 줄 알았어 (I Knew It)" and "너 없이 사는 것도 (Living Without You)" are related to "Living Without You", being a prologue and a continuation respectively. Junhyung also produced Yang Yoseob's first EP "First Collage" which officially released on the 21st of November, 2012.

Producer Brave Brothers created the project group ‘Absurd’, with rappers Junhyung of B2ST, LE of EXID and FeelDog of Big Star. The promo image was released on February 21, 2013, and on February 17, 2013, Brave Brothers released Junhyung's version of the MV teaser. Junhyung produced and composed their 2013 album "Hard to Love, How to Love", which is their second studio album with Kim Tae-Joo. He also starred in a South Korean TV Series called Monstar which aired every Friday starting on May 17, 2013, on Mnet music channel.

On 13 December 2013, Junhyung released his debut solo mini-album, Flower. It was released on all online music sites on that day at 12AM KST, which is to signify the start of his career as a solo artist. The title track "Flower" topped the music charts, as well as other singles such as "Caffeine (Piano version) (feat. Yang Yoseob)" and "Anything (feat G.NA)".

On May 15, 2014, Junhyung was featured in Megan Lee's official debut track, "8dayz".

In 2014, he appeared in Lee Seung Hwan's song "I Feel On You". He was also featured in the music videos of Eru's "I hate You", Lyn's "Breakable Heart", Baek Ji Young's "Good Boy" and Natthew's "She's Bad".

• Personal life •

On June 28, 2011, Cube Entertainment announced that Junhyung was in a relationship with Goo Hara of KARA. DSP Media also announced; “They do have good feelings towards one another, but they’re still getting to know each other." On March 27, 2013, Cube Entertainment and DSP Media announced the end of their 2-year relationship, citing that the two "naturally drifted apart".
