Jung District (중구 / Jung-gu)

Jung-gu, Daegu'yu oluşturan 8 bölgeden biridir. Güneyinde Nam-gu,batısında Seo-gu, kuzeyinde Buk-gu, doğusunda ise Dong-gu ve Suseong-gu bölgeleri yer alır. Festivaller yönünden oldukça zengin bir bölgedir. Düzenlenen bazı festivaller; Oriental Medicine Culture Festival, Dongseong-ro Festival, Bongsan Art Festival, Seomoon Market Festival, NamSan Printing Culture Festival.
Jung-gu'nun nüfusu belirlenen son rakamlara göre 80,693 kişidir.

2 oval, nabzı yaşam döngüsüyle atan Jung-gu'nun geleceğini ve gelişmesini temsil ediyor. Sungnyemun (Namdaemun), Seoul'ün merkezi Jung-gu'dur anlamındadır. Yeşil renk huzuru, istikrarı ve Namsan ormanının gürlüğünü simgeler.

Gül (Gu Çiçeği)

Çiçek kraliçesi olarak adlandırılan gül renkli güzel çiçekler vardır ve birçok insan tarafından çok sevilir.Gül kalın koku ve güçlü renk ile tutku ve refahı simgelemektedir.

Saksağan (Gu Kuşu)

Saksağan, köy çevresinde ağaçların yüksek dalına yuva yapar ve kolaylıkla Kore'nin her yerinde görülebilir yerleşik kuştur. Bu yabani kuş Kore'de uzun zamandan beri bulunmaktadır . Umudu sembolize eder ve uğurlu kişi veya haberlerin gelişini bildirir.

Pine tree has been in close relationship with the culture and life of Korean people for long period of time. This tree grows naturally all over the country and symbolizes the spirit and fidelity with persistent vitality and greenness in barren environment.

Rose (Gu Flower)
Rose is colorful and has beautiful flowers and is so much loved by many people that it is called as the queen of the flower. Rose symbolizes the passion and prosperity with thick fragrance and strong color.

Magpie (Gu Bird)
The magpie builds the nest at high branch of trees around villages and is the resident bird that can be easily seen anywhere in Korea. It is the wild bird that is close to Korean since long time ago and symbolizes hope and auspiciousness as it notifies the arrival of welcomed person or news.
