Jeongwol Daeboreum, ay takvimindeki ilk dolunaya gelen gündür. Kore'de en büyük geleneksel tatillerden biridir. Bu günde ülkede çesitli faaliyetler düzenlenir. Yılın güzelliklerle dolu geçmesi için ayinler yapılır, dualar edilir. Bu sırada da Jeju adasında düzenlenen ateş festivali güzel manzaralar ortaya çıkarır. Saebyeol Oreum'un geniş yeşil kıyısında volkan patlamasındaki gibi bir ihtişamla nefis bir tablo seyirci ile karşı karşıya bırakılır.

Jeongwol Daeboreum Fire Festival (14th)

Jeongwol Daeboreum, the first full moon of the lunar calendar, is one of the biggest traditional holidays in Korea. Various events are held across the country to pray for good harvests and prosperity for the rest of the year. The Fire Festival on the scenic southern island of Jeju is the grandest in scale. Held on the vast, grassy slope of Saebyeol Oreum, the festival creates a spectacular view resembling the eruption of a volcano.
