Seoul Belediye Baskani Park Won-soon, Seoul'ün güneyindeki Gwocheon sehrinde bulunan Seoul Grand Park'taki hayvanat bahçesine 12 Mart tarihinde yaptigi ziyaret sirasinda bir yunusa bakti. Park, eglence parkinda düzenledigi basin toplantisinda, büyüksehir yönetiminin yunus gösterilerinde kullanilan 3 yunustan birini serbest birakacagini ve gösterileri geçici olarak durduracagini açikladi. Karar, vatandaslarin 3 yunus hakkindaki nesli tükenmekte olan ve dünyaca korunan türler oldugu yönündeki iddialarinin arkasindan geldi.

AI Virus Confirmed as Low Pathogenic Strain

Kus Gribi Virüsünün Insanlara Geçmeyen Tür Oldugu Onaylandi

Hükümet, Güney Chungcheong Bölgesi'nde bir tavuk çiftliginde bildirilen kus gribi salgininin insanlara bulasmayan, daha az zararli olan türü oldugunu onayladi.

Tarim Bakanligi, Gyeryong sehrindeki çiftlikte ölen kümes hayvanlarindan alinan örneklerin incelendigini söyledi. Bu kuslara, kus gribi virüsünün insanlara bulasmayan H9N2 türünün bulastigi onaylandi.

Güney Chungcheong Eyaletinde, etkilenen çiftlige erisimdeki kisitlamalari kaldirmis olsa da, yakindaki çiftlik ve diger alanlar arindirilmaya ve izlenmeye devam edilecek.

The government confirms that the reported avian influenza (AI) outbreak at a chicken farm in South Chungcheong Province is of a low pathogenic strain, which is less damaging.

The Agriculture Ministry says it analyzed samples collected from dead poultry at the farm in Gyeryong City. It confirms the birds were infected with the low pathogenic H9N2 strain of the AI virus.

Although South Chungcheong Province has lifted the restrictions on accessing the affected farm, it will continue to sterilize and monitor the farm and other ones nearby for the time being.

Devletin Pazar günü yaptigi açiklamaya göre 2011 yilinda Güney Kore'nin muayene ve tedavi giderlerinde, kismen tibbi müdahale gereken yaslilardan dolayi, yüzde 6'lik artis görüldü.

Ulusal Saglik Sigortasi Kurumu tibbi muayeneler, hastane masraflari ve ilaç ücretleri gibi toplam tutari karsilamak için geçen yil 46.2 trilyon won($40.1 milyon) harcandigini açikladi.

South Korea's health insurance outlays for examination and treatment rose 6 percent on-year in 2011, partly due to more senior citizens requiring medical attention, a state-run agency report said Sunday.

The National Health Insurance Corp. (NHIC) said the total amount spent to cover medical examinations, hospitalizations and drug purchases last year topped 46.2 trillion won (US$40.1 billion).

Gov't to Introduce Certification System for Low-Carbon Farm Products

Hükümet, Düsük Karbonlu Tarim Ürünleri için Sertifikasyon Sistemini Tanitacak

Hükümet, tarim sektöründe sera gazlarinin emilimini azaltma ve sürekli gelismelerin tanitimini yapma girisimlerinin bir parçasi olarak, bu yil, düsük karbonlu besinler için sertifikasyon sistemini tanitmayi planliyor.
Örnek sistemde, düsük karbon islenen tarimsal ve hayvansal ürünler, düsük karbonlu ürünler olarak lisanslandirilacak.
Tarim ve Orman Isleri Bakanligi, persembe günü Güney Kore'nin, tarim ürünlerine düsük karbon lisansladirma sistemini kabul eden dünyadaki ilk ülke olacagini söyledi.
Bakanlik, sistemin ilk denemesini, pirinç, susam yapragi, marul, elma ve armut üzerinde, bu yil ve 2013 için uygulamayi planliyor. Ayrica, 2014'ten itibaren daha fazla ürün elde etmek için sistemin gelistirilmesi planlaniyor.

The government plans to introduce a low-carbon farm product certification system this year as part of efforts to promote sustainable development and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the agriculture sector.

Under the trial system, agricultural and livestock items produced by low-carbon farming will be certified as low-carbon products.

The Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said on Tuesday that South Korea would be the first country in the world to apply the low-carbon certification system to farm products.

The ministry plans to first implement the system on a trial basis for rice, sesame leaves, lettuce, apples and pears for this year and 2013. It plans to expand the system to include more products from 2014.

World Water Day Event in Seoul

21 Mart 2012'de, bir sonraki güne denk gelen Dünya Su Günü için bir grup ögrenci Seoul'un Seongdong Bölgesinde Gyeongsu Ilkögretim Okulundaki bir etkinlik sirasinda çamurlu suyu nasil aritacaklarina dair deney yapiyorlar. Etkinlik ayni zamanda yoksulluk çeken Afrikali çocuklara yardim etmek için sivil bir grup tarafindan düzenlenen kampanyanin bir parçasi.

No. of Hepatitis C Patients Grows

Hepatit C Hastalarinin Sayisi Artti

Güney Kore'deki hepatit C hastalarinin sayisi, son on yil içinde 1.4 kat artti.

Kore Hastalik Kontrol ve Önleme Merkezleri, 2011 yilinda 3000 kadar, geçen yil ise 4200 hepatit C enfeksiyonu raporu aldigini söyledi.

Saglik yetkilileri, artisin yeni teshis yöntemlerinin gelistirilmesi ve tibbi muayene olan insanlarin sayilarindaki artis için atfedilebilir oldugunu açikladi.

Hepatit C virüsünün bulasmasi için birincil neden, intravenöz ilaç kullanimi, kötü sterilize edilen tibbi ekipman ve güvenli olmayan tibbi prosedürler ile birlesmis kan temasini içeriyor.

Hastalik karaciger kanserine dönüsebilir. Hepatit C asisi yok.

The number of hepatitis C patients in South Korea has grown one-point-four times over the past decade.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says it received four-thousand-200 hepatitis C infection reports last year, up from three-thousand in 2001.

Health authorities explained that the surge is attributable to the development of new diagnosis methods and an increase in the number of people who get medical checkups.

Primary causes for the transmission of the hepatitis C virus include blood-to-blood contact associated with intravenous drug use, poorly sterilized medical equipment, and unsafe medical procedures.

The disease can develop into liver cancer. There is no vaccine for hepatitis C.
